She was just convinced that other options were not explored. She probably knew the child won't just die immediately. Child would show sign of weakness,fast breathing then gradual loss of consciousness before death. In moments like that people just look for easy way instead of offering help. The woman can sue you for breaking her glass without her permit. She has the final say and if the child dies,she is the one to face the law or consequence. you think opening of car by a panel beater is something that happens in just few minutes? i've had that experience several times and i can tell it's not so straight forward.
