However, I'll advice you work vigorously behind the scene by engaging your prospective professors in a robust academic chat. Once discussion is fortuitous, you need to apply. This is one way of maximising your scarce resources, so you don't end up 'throwing away' cash.

You've made quite a nice pick. You'll need to strike a balance between your 'very ambitious' and your 'moderate' so you keep your admission chances within the ambit of safety.

Have you tried engaging the Graduate Program Director as well as your intending supervisor(s)? I would suggest you do that and based on the response you get, you may be able to choose what schools to apply to so as to conserve your resources.

Moreso I was admitted to University of New Haven and I would like to apply for their funding but there is no where to apply for it, so I want to ask if it is automatically been considered with ones program application.

I got my admission to New Haven last week Monday, they request that I pay $300 tuition deposit before they can issue admission letter. Is it the same case with you?

Concerning the funding, I have swept through their site, I think you must have been a registered student before you can apply for the funding. let's continue the rest behind the scene, pm me.

my mum is being charged 250k for toefl by an agent for my brothers undergraduate admission... he charged her 375k for sat and 179 for rewrite after failing... they have been on it aince octiber 2017..... the agent said he will resume january,no wes yet, sat is oct 6, no applications,no school....... i have told her about by mafit ... she told her freinds who told her someone they know said by mafit isnt for young people ( a 17year old boy). This should make her trust whatever you tell her about admission processing as agents are just out there to make their money and nothing more

For the second part of your paragraph, your best bet is to write the graduate program director your program how funding decisions are made.

The earlier you open up and make her realize you even have more information than the said agent, the better the family is in terms of reduced spending.

I am also processing my admission to New Haven for fall 2019, I was asked during the process if I will like to be considered for both provost assistantship and Dean scholarships which I ticked yes....... So I don't know if that was the case for you spring applicants.

There was a lady on this thread whose admission package came with Automatic Dean scholarship for Fall 2018, but she secured RA position later sha with 2.7 Gpa and GRE 295.

And again the Fundings are for early bird, I think the 1st priority deadline for the fundings are December/January and 2nd priority is March. The school is nice sha, they waived $50 application fee for me.

Sure, a private school, but if one can gather the funding opportunities available, it can bring to cost to the bare-minimun.
Anyway I have spread my risk to various schools, I just pray I can get any form of fundings, even if it is In state or out of state tuition waver.

Please, don't just look oooo. Maybe you suggest one of the good private universities in Nigeria for undergraduate while he is well mentored about life as being far away from home and not mentally matured might not be so good and experience for him ooo.

Please i really need you guys help. I'm very new here. I am just applying for the spring 2019 admission. I have registered with WES and i was told to drop all required documents like the bsc certificate, transcripts and WAEC. The issue now is the middle name on my WAEC certificate doesnt match with other ones. Plus i do not only make use of WAEC in obtaining admission cause i didnt make chemistry in it, it was WAEC and NECO..is it advisable i use WAEC only nd ow cn i rectify the middle name?

For the middle name, it is better you go and swear an affidavit because WAEC is not issuing another certificate with correction of name. This happened to one of my ares sister before she left for Canada this year.

you can give it a shot too, we never know until we try... and don't limit the request to only your department.
