1. Yes the VO will because that is what it is. He is assisting financially so it’s a cosponsorship situation.
2. No it will not. It’s okay to have more than one sponsor.
3. Yes it is perfectly fine
4. Well, since he is your cosponsor he is expected to provide all of those.

P.S I think ‘Letter of Financial Support’ and ‘Letter of Sponsorship’ are one and the same thing.
Also, I think he will have to show commitment either by paying part or all of your tuition fees or sending CAD10,000 to an account of yours for your one year living expenses.

I hope this helps. The answer provided is from the little I know and have read on this forum they are open to corrections.

Best regards.

..for second opinion(s) please advice!
My Father is the sole sponsor, but his friend(our family friend) has pledged to assist me with some support funds per year for the duration of my studies but the funds would be made available to me on monthly basis. He's also willing to write a "Letter of Financial Support(not a letter of sponsorship)." My question(s)

1. Will the VO see this as a co-sponsorship situation
2. ‎Will this create/cause harm to my app
3. ‎Is it okay for him to support the "Letter of Financial Support" with an "affidavit"
4. ‎He is willing to lend me is bank statement, business CAC, Property document etc to prove his commitment, is this too much from someone who is not my sponsor

BTW he can't transfer the funds to me at once but will be able to give me the funds monthly upon divide for a year

Mr Man, if you do not know what to say, just keep mute please and stop misleading people. You are not a VO, so what gives you the right to say its difficult for college applicants to get Visa. Or is it written on the Canadian site that " College Applicants will find it difficult to get Visa". Like I always say, the fastest TRV Approval(that applied in Nigeria) I have seen on this thread (Part 12 or 13) was a PGD applicant, he got his TRV in 20 days. So dont come here and start misleading people that its difficult to get Visa with College application. The same way PGD applicants get refused is the same way Masters Applicant get refused. The most important thing to do as an applicant is to package ur application well(Coupled with prayers) with a convincing SOP and submit all required documents. So please do not discourage the PGD/PGC applciants here, cos thees people still get their TRV approved well just as Masters applicants. Peace

Hello,

1) no one is claiming to be a VO here. It is just an advice. Everyone here is entitled to give his or her own opinion.
2) the advice was based on recent trends
3) you can't be comparing thread 12 and 13 with the current thread. Things have changed rapidly. Approval rate has reduced and refusal rate has increased.

P.S all applications need prayers and good SOP.

I conclude that it's getting difficult for college applicant to get a trv from Nigeria than master's applicant. This is based on recent trends.

If u can't advice the guy that asked the question then don't just discard any advice someone else is giving. I can see u didn't even respond to the guy.

Happy new month and independence to my fellow brothers and sisters in the struggle to make Nigeria great again.
It is my prayer that in this new month our applications shall witness divine favour and turnaround in Jesus Name.
If you are applying for Winter, to be on the safe side apply now don't wait till ending on October, as the processing time is likely to increase to 14 weeks this month. It shall end in praises

All I can say is, I have followed the thread...each approved persons wen dy share their profile, it's masters mostly few are PGDs..but for rejected, it's masters I see more..not PGDs except one current person dat just recently got rejected...but wen u look at the reasons for being rejected..its not cos of masters or PGD..its cos of SOPs...not Wat education status u are going for..student visa application is student visa application...VOs don't target any particular group of applicants if u are masters or PGD..its your SOPs that matters here... am a PGD applicant (Algonquin college) and I applied online cos my friends who are PGDs got theirs with no stress..so it's just to have a good and convincing SOP making sure all loop holes are well covered and back up documents to support them are in there and backing it up with prayers...Finish...so if u are a PGD applicant..no fear, do what you are meant to do and add God in it..u are good to go...Peace

No 1) why college? Why not a university? I will tell u d truth bro.. study permit is getting difficult day by day for college applicants. Although admission might be easier than a university, study permit is harder to get for a college applicant than a university applicant.

No 2) if you are taking your wife along, pls let the money for your tuition + your upkeep-10000 cad + her upkeep- 10000cad be in your account. The VO will know by this that you have access to the fund.

God bless you sir for your inputs. However, I beg to disagree. I applied to a college with a 2:1 degree and got my visa. I think God Almighty, a good and convincing SOP and of cause strong financial statement will do the magic.

Although if you have a 2:1 your first option should be a university except you have a good reason for applying to a college.

I start in January and I am thinking of changing to masters if possible.

McGill was on my neck. Deferring was not an option, becos I had already deferred from Fall 2017 to Fall 2018, so I could not defer any longer. I was given an ultimate deadline of 25th september by McGill, luckily, passport request came on the deadline. I kept sending mails and webforms to Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, Abu Dhabi. I even sent to Canada and Sydney offices...lool. Abu Dhabi and Sydney offices replied, saying my application is not being processed at their office but in London. From that day, London office started feeling me...an average of three mails and webforms every day grin grin grin morning, afternoon and night. In fact, my approval came in when I typing yet another mail to the London office.

During the waiting period, prayer was very helpful. I prayed my rosary, yes I am Catholic, like I have never done before. I also visited the Blessed Sacrament. Canada pple sabi humble person eeh!!!

For TRV hopefuls, hang in there. God go do am very soon.

congrats bro. I'm going to McGill too. have submitted my passport as well. let's hook up

Man it depends on so many factors. Processing time from cac aside, I’ll say two months if it’s a solid application even though mine was processed in less than 5weeks. Good luck!

I will go for fulltime. As a fulltime student you are allowed to work for 20 hrs weekly. This can inly help you with your living expenses but cant pay your tuition fees. However in summer / if you are not in session during summer you can work more hours or get as many job as you like and you wont be going againts the condition of your study permit. . After your study permit you can apply for a post grad permit which you can work for as long as you want. Hope this helps

I also believe you have a good chance getting your visa as a fulltime student than a part time student.
