Inspector James woke up in a strange room, he scanned the room with his eyes and found Gabriel sitting at the other side of the bed sleeping. He tried raising his hands to tap him but found it difficult to because of the drip attached to his hand.

"Gabriel" he called softly closing his eyes in pain.
"Gabriel" he called louder this time when Gabriel didn't wake up at his first call.

"You are awake Bro" Gabriel said rushing towards him, " how are you feeling now?" he asked yet again holding his hand.

"I feel pains all over my body, what happened to me?" he asked trying to sit up and rest his back on the bed frame.

"No, no, no, don't stress yourself, lie down and rest please" Gabriel said rushing to help to him.

"I asked you a question Gabriel, what happened to me?, I can't remember anything" he said moving his left hand for the drip to flow well.

"You were shot, you called me and told me that you were been followed, I called for backup but when we got there you were already bleeding, I was so scared that I thought you were going to die, but thank God we brought you here on time". he concluded shifting the drip stand closer to James.

" I called you?, I was shot?, but how?" he asked trying hard to remember. It wasn't long before it hit his head like a lightening bolt, everything came flooding in.

"The CLAVES" he muttered inaudibly, "They are the ones behind this" he said looking at Gabriel.

"What is that?" Gabriel asked leaning forward to hear him well.

"The person that shot me told me that the CLAVES wa..nt me dead be... because I made away with their reco...oord book" he said trying hard to speak steadily.

"Oh my god, this case is deadlier than I thought" Gabriel said rubbing James' shoulder.

"We need to find the girl" James blurted out suddenly.

"Which girl?" Gabriel asked confused.

"The girl that escaped from the keeping room, Anny Mathew, we need to find her now" he said trying to remove the drip from his hand.

"Are you crazy?, you nearly died because of this case and you are still talking about it, are you going nuts?" he asked angrily trying to stop him from removing the drip.

"Am police man Gabriel and that is my work, no matter the state of my health, I am to serve my country" James said wincing in pain.

"I can see that you are going crazy, but let me tell you something you don't know, the D.P.O has handed the case to Tobi to continue with the investigations.

" What? but why?" James asked stopping the struggle to free Gabriel's grip on the drip fixed on his hand.

"We received another death news while you were here, another business tycoon was killed with the same style and pattern as Mr Kehinde, he was killed with a fork stabbed deeply into his neck, no finger print was found, but the difference is that he wasn't killed in a restroom, he was killed in his own house. When the D.P.O heard it, he couldn't wait for you to wake up, he had to assign Tobi to it." Gabriel answered eyeing him.

"How long was I out for?" James asked sadly.

"A week and three days, the doctor said you are strong and would wake up earlier than usual". He answered massaging his hand.

" I don't trust Tobi, we need to find the girl before he does, are you with me or against me?" he asked Gabriel going for the drip on his hand again.

"You mean now? but you are still in pains" Gabriel said giving him a warning stare.

"Don't worry Gabby, I can take care of myself, just go get a wheelchair for me, we need to escape from here and once we get to the parking lot, I will stand up and walk on my own" He said successfully removing the drip.

"Alright, am coming" Gabriel said walking out.



SOMEWHERE A Call Was Made.
"Hello sir, good afternoon, I bring good news to the CLAVE, James has woken up few minutes ago, and he has planned with Gabriel from the forensic department to go in search of the girl" he spoke immediately the other person answered his phone.

"Alright Spark, you know what to do, just get to the girl and kill her first before James gets there, and make no mistake this time, make sure you kill the girl" He spoke authoritatively.

"No problem sir, I will make the CLAVE proud, bye sir" he hung up picking his revolver from his drawer.

James is not dead, that's a relief.
Bia Gabriel, are you sure you are not spark? how did they get to know what James discussed with you?

Episode 7

Funmilayo sat down in the living room, thinking so hard about her life, she has just lost the fight against Johnson, the foolish nurse at the hospital where Margaret was at before let her go because she didn't hear from her (Funmilayo) for some days and now Margaret has been transferred, his son was angry with him for lying to him and thereby decided not to help her in the fight again. She was still thinking when her son entered into the house and walked past her without giving her glance, ever since they came back from the police station, he had been ignoring her.


"My son, when will you stop ignoring me?, am still your mother, I know I lied to you but I did it because Johnson is the only man I love, if my plan had worked accordingly, he would have accepted you and your sister as his own and also take me back as his wife, I don't love Williams, what I had with him was just a one night stand." she said feeling sobber.


"Unbelievable mom, you mean you wanted to saddle an innocent man with another man's children?, you made me believe all my life that the innocent man put you in a family way and eloped with your house maid, I hated an innocent man all my life, I should have listened to Funmi, I hate you so much right now." he said stomping his foot on the ground.

"Johnson is not innocent as well, if he had not broken my heart I wouldn't have gone to the bar to cool off and I wouldn't have met Williams." she said eyeing her son.

"Even at that Mom, when he broke your heart did he tell you to go to the bar and hook up with some random man?" he asked now facing his mom squarely.

"I will give you a dirty slap if you ever talk to me like that again, am still your mother young man, show me some respect." she said springing up on her feet.

"Do you know that because of your foolish revenge, I lost my job, I lost my sister, I lost my Boss, I thought that I was going to console myself with Mr Johnson's company even if am at loggerheads with Kenny, but now, I have lost everything and Kenny will never accept me as his brother." he said sitting down dejectedly with his head in his hand.


"The most important thing is that Williams accepted you as his son and we will take advantage of that to suck him dry, it doesn't matter what his other son thinks of you" she said sitting beside his son, she lost Johnson and there is no way she was going to loose Williams.


"What are you talking about again Mom, haven't you cause enough havoc already?, just count me off in any of your stupid plans" he said through gritted teeth.


"I can't believe I have a weakling for a son, don't you know that if you play your games well, you won't have to work under Kenny again, you will be your own Boss and everything will be shared equally, you have the same right as him, don't be a fool and think like a human being" she said shaking her head unbelievably.


"Mom you know what?, am tired of your rantings, am going to sleep" he hissed and left the room.


"Tunde you must do as I say oooo, you want to remain under Kenny when you have equal rights as him?, kolewerk, did you hear me? kopossible" she shouted at her son.






"Paschal you mean you let her go?, are you crazy?, I know that you are crazy but I thought you have been treated. You mean you let Margaret go to another hospital?, do you want us to get exposed?" she ranted hitting her hand on the table.


"Aunty, it wasn't my fault, Johnson wanted her to be transferred to another hospital, according to him, he has not seen any progress in her health since she has been coming here" he said trying to pacify her.


"Which hospital was she transferred to?" she asked calming down a bit.

"PAMELA HOSPITAL at Amakohia Egbeada road" he said flipping through a book to be sure of the address.

"Do you know anyone there? anyone that we can trust? we need someone that can start from where we stopped" she said eyeing the doctor.

"Am sorry Aunty, I don't know anyone there" he said with a shake of head.

"Damn it Paschal we have been exposed, you should have convinced Johnson to leave her here" she said closing her eyes in fear of the unknown.

"Aunty, I nearly convinced him if not for the woman with him, she kept on telling him not to listen to me and do the transfer" he said trying very hard not to get on the woman's nerves.

"Woman?, a woman was with Johnson? why didn't you tell me since? she shouted again.

" I thought she wasn't important, I thought you only wanted news on Johnson and his wife" he said backing away in fear.

"Stop calling that woman his wife, I am his wife, the woman people recognize as his wife and nobody will change that fact" she said sending a warning glare to him.

"Am sorry Aunty" he said still backing away in fear.

"Sorry for yourself, now what is the name of the woman that has been with Johnson" she asked hastily, so she has another obstacle, and she thought all these while that Margaret was the only obstacle she had.

"I hear Johnson call her Felicia" the doctor said checking for any sign of Anger on her face.

"Felicia?, oh my god Paschal we are doomed, Felicia is Margaret's sister and she knows what happened 26 years ago, Jesus am finished" she said placing her hand on her head.


"Well well well" Someone said clapping behind her. she turned immediately to see who the person was.

"Jesus, Johnson" she shouted standing up.

"Yes, I am the one, I eavesdropped on your conversation. I never knew that you are this wicked, after what you did 26 years ago, it wasn't enough for you, I wonder how you found out that Margaret is still alive and in this hospital, so doctor Paschal is your nephew? how come? you were the only child of your parents" he said dragging out a chair to sit on.

"He is my step-nephew actually, my mother had a daughter for her ex-lover before she got married, am sorry Johnson for everything, please forgive me" she said kneeling down.

"So it was you all along? you have been feeding Margaret with those drugs? making it impossible for her to regain her memory, what did she ever do to you?" he asked shaking his head sadly.

"Am sorry Johnson, I will explain everything to you, just hear me out" she said crawling towards him.

I will listen to you , but that will be at the police station. officers, please come and take them away" he said as two police men came to handcuff them.


"I have only one thing to tell you, you are very wicked Agness" he concluded as a tear dropped down on his face.

Jesus, Agness is the one behind Margaret's ordeal, what a wicked world.

James and Gabriel just got to the address of the girl they were looking for, everywhere looked calm and quite, James asked a few persons where 35 madumere street was and he was told. they got to the door and knocked, they got no response, James knocked again harder and the door gave way for them to enter, James peeped inside and found a female figure lying on the floor, blood dripping from her shoulder.


"Oh my god, what happened here?" Gabriel asked rushing inside with James.

"She has been shot" James said closing his eyes.

"Let's get out from here before they label us the killers" Gabriel said already walking towards the door.

"Wait, she is not yet dead, she has opened her eyes" James said crouching down to take a good look at the lady.

"Are you Anny Mathew?, who shot you and why?" James asked all at a time.

"Am not Ann...abel, am her friend, she live..s with me..ee" the lady said wincing in pain.


"Where can we find Anny?" James asked looking carefully at her.

"Come on James, we have to take her to the hospital before asking any question" Gabriel said eyeing James.

"Noooo, you ha....vvee to list..en to me, don't take me to the hosp...ital" she said wincing stressfully.

"Okay, go ahead, we are listening" James replied hastily.

"You can find Annabel at Club 360, she is a stripper there, find her, she will tell you everything" she said slowly breathing her last.

"She is dead James, we need to leave now" Gabriel Said moving towards the door again.

"Gabriel wait, don't be in a haste to leave, we need to search around a little" James said standing up.

"Are you going crazy James?, you are not the one handling this investigation, we need to leave now" he said already getting angry, he wouldn't want to be labeled a killer. but James didn't talk to him because he was already moving to one of the rooms. Gabriel later followed having no other option.


"Take a good look at this Gabriel" James said holding up a piece of paper.

"Let's see what is written there" Gabriel said collecting the paper from him.

"These are the founders?" James asked stupidly.

"Look, Kehinde and Kayode's names are marked and there is a big dot beside Taiwo's name too" Gabriel said pointing out.

"Wait, what is the name of the business tycoon that died while I was unconscious?" James asked trying hard to solve the mystery.

"Kayode Temitope, that is his name" Gabriel said looking carefully at Him.

"She is killing them according to the list, Kehinde is dead, and so is Kayode, the next on the list is Taiwo and that is why there is a big dot beside his name, we need to find her before she kills anymore person" James said trying to fold the paper.

"Wait, show me the list again" Gabriel said holding James' hand.

"What is it Gabriel?" he asked opening the paper.

"Look here, Kehinde and Taiwo have the same surname" he said pointing at the names on the list.

"Yes, it is true, they could probably be siblings" James said widening his eyes in shock.

"They are twins actually" Gabriel said folding the piece of paper.

"Twins? how did you know?" James asked getting confused.

"In Yoruba land, Kehinde and Taiwo are the names given to Twins, in any house you see Kehinde, you will also see Taiwo" Gabriel said folding his hands against his chest.

"Oh my god, the twins are among the founders" James said clutching his stomach, the wound has started paining him and needs medical attention.

"Are you okay bro?, I never supported the idea of you leaving the hospital bed, please let's go back to the hospital, you will continue tomorrow" He said supporting James with his hand.

"I have come far Gabriel, I can't go back, let me unbutton my shirt and see how bad it is" He said undoing the buttons of his shirt.

"What is that black thing on your clothe?" Gabriel asked pointing at James' button.

"oh my god Gabriel, who visited me at the hospital when I was unconscious" James asked bringing out the black object.

"The D.P.O and people from the station, what is the problem?" Gabriel asked peering at him.

"Did any stranger visit me?" James asked in shock.

"No, not at all, you are getting me scared bro, what happened?" he asked a bit angrily.

"Gabriel, I have been bugged, this is a bug" he said raising it up for Gabriel to have a better look.

"What?, who could have done that?" Gabriel said taking the bug.

"I can only think of one thing, the CLAVES have insiders in the police force, that means they heard everything we said, including Anny's location, we need to find the girl now and throw that thing away," he said rushing out of the house.
