For every barrel of palm oil produced (above the ground of course) the producer keeps 100% of the proceeds except for taxes paid. 1 barrel of palm oil in the international market is about $90 We have in the Niger delta, fought for years to get derivation up to 13% However, we have 100% derivation (so to speak) on any (and every) other thing we produce outside of oil. The question is... what have we chosen to produce? This goes for all the states in the South East and the Middle belt, and indeed, everywhere in Nigeria.
