Yes o! May be if someone goes there and obtain the franchise to wholly market their products here with their technical support, they would do it. Its not easy for a foreign company to just enter Nigeria like that without some local company fronting them. This is a wakeup call to the likes of Noobody, Mayorall, Protein0, fibonacci2526, macbeyland to mention but few, close rank and set up a company to approach Xiaomi in this regards. I can bet more than 50k (or more) Xiaomi devices have successfully exchanged hands on this thread alone.

Please can sumone guide me?

How can I change my IMEI on mi 8 without having issues. So many confusing stuvs online.

Ps. My phone is not rooted.
I am changing becos I'm in a country where i have to pay so much to register any phone bought from abroad. Early this year, I registered the first phone i bought, dont have the huge amount to register mi 8.. about 75k in naira.
Hence, i want both phone to share IMEI or at least use the second imei of thr old phone for my new phone sim 1.
Plenty explanations sha..

If you're referring to RN5 for example, its the same size as the normal 5.5 inch screen phones. The only difference is that its a bit narrower and screen size elongated. Let me just say its an illusion making it seem longer than normal 5.5 inch screen phones.

Ma i think it's much more than meets the eye, there was a time Jumia in collaboration with MIA store(i think) sold the redmi 2 and Mi 4 exclusively in nigeria and that was the end of it. This more often than not depends on bureaucracy in place and we know the business terrain in this country, same model used in India might not work here. Hopefully with time we will see them here.

It won't be cool if I don't drop a sentence or two based on my user experience of Redmi Note 5. I actually started using the phone with a critical mind. I was like people must be missing something, a phone can't be that good at this price. I can't believe the general performance of this phone :battery, speed, storage, full screen display, camera, charging and the utility options among others... And to think this phone is just a mid range device from xiaomi makes one desire for more. Even if xiaomi doesn't set up in Nigeria, it is already spreading like wildfire. God bless xiaomi... God bless us all... grin

You're very correct. Bureaucracy and enlightenment is key here. Most users tend to go for a device through referals but I still believe we can start from somewhere to lure them in. undecided

That depends on your location, I have seen over 3Mb/s on Airtel over here, have seen similar speed on MTN 3G from thesame location.
