Hello, hello, hello my good people,

It's been wonderful riding with you, amazing guys, once again. I must say you guys have a way of making my rides fun and engaging.

We have actually arrived at the final episode of the story and I know many of you might be surprised that we've got just one of episode (chapter) left, though, most people would have noticed that the resolution of the story was already at the corner.

Just like when I posted Jewel from the Ghetto, you guys were fabulous throughout the journey. Your comments, compliments, encouragement, and prayers were just great and inspiring, and I thank you guys a lot for it!

Naija Tushboy even nominated me for the 5k Award and called out on you people to vote for me. I was seriously taken aback by this, especially when I started seeing people vote for me! I was like: "Me ke? I deserve award? Seriously?"

Guys, I sincerely appreciate such display of confidence in my writing ability and the love and support you guys showed.

What a privilege to be among this superb fam! I'm tempted to name names but I will only make this post too long and bore you more than I am already doing!

So guys ...

Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!

I love you all.

Well, enough of this blah, blah, blah... Grab a seat and get set for the final episode.

Cheers.

Final Episode (Chapter 31)

SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, IT was Blessing’s wedding to Tomiwa. The build up to that day had been hectic and demanding. The preparation for the wedding had taken a real toll on not only both of them but also on family members, relatives, and friends who worked hard to make sure that the wedding was a success. It was a dream come true.

The house of the Eluekachi’s had been a hive of activities since the past three days. Relatives had arrived from up country cities and villages to grace the occasion. Women had been busy cooking and washing the dishes in readiness for the celebration. Men were seen making other arrangements which included getting the drinks and shuttling between the venue and the house ensuring that all was set. The decoration had to be properly done and the hall well arranged. The house of the Lawson’s was no different from that of the Eluekachi’s as preparations were equally at top gear.

The day of the wedding came in earnest. In the Eluekachi’s residence, all attention was on Blessing. She was treated like the queen she was. Friends and relatives from far and wide were at her beck and call. Not less than five ladies were clustered round her making her up for the wedding. It was her day and she must look her best and the makeup artistes saw to that. By the time they finished working on her, she could hardly recognize herself. She had always known that she was beautiful but she didn’t realise that her beauty was this great. And when she was fully dressed in the wedding gown, she looked smashingly elegant. The fit-to-flair style gave her the wow effect and she looked like the fairy tale Cinderella. It was her day and she didn’t deserve anything less.

Back at the Lawson’s, Tomiwa too was receiving the kingly treatment. He was looking very handsome and strikingly adorable in his black three-piece-suit. He was full of smiles; it was the kind of smile worn by people whose hearts were bubbling forth with great joy. There was no gain saying that he was the happiest man on earth on that Saturday morning.

Why wouldn’t he be? It was a well-deserved happiness. He had paid for it. He had gone through the complete cycle of life’s mystery. He once found great joy in love but love took him through the painful path of sorrow and misery and then back to the joyous pasture of happiness; so green and refreshing. He had seen and tasted it all and it was a happy ending for him.

In no time, the Officiating Minister was done. The wedding vows had been said and the rings exchanged.

“…I now pronounce you … man and wife. You may kiss the bride!”

With that, the two pairs of succulent lips locked into each other. The kiss was long and deep. It was the kind of kiss that sent people to Cloud Nine! The cheers, laughter, whistles, and applause that followed nearly blew the roof off. Everybody’s face shone brilliantly; they were happy for the newlyweds, the latest couple in town.
The reception party was the fun part. The programme was fun-packed and the Master of Ceremony was not found wanting. Invitees had an exhilarating experience. There was fun, enough to eat and drink. The dance floor was something else as the couple and well-wishers danced their asses out. It was apparent that the couple was the happiest on that day and nobody could blame them. It was their day and they had to enjoy it to the fullest.

Meanwhile, friends who had taken pictures of the event had started posting them on Facebook and Instagram real-time. Rachael was surfing on Facebook at the moment and saw the pictures as they dropped one after the other. Particularly striking was one where Tomiwa and Blessing were captured standing side by side full of smiles. The smiles were innocent and deep; they were smiles that summed up everything that happened—they were happy … they were satisfied … they loved each other dearly!

Rachael’s eyes welled up with tears. She shook her head in regret as the tears now rolled down her cheeks freely. That could have been her beside him wearing that same smile that said it all. She could have been the one everyone was celebrating right now and not someone caught up in a loveless marriage with Bayo!

At about 5.00 pm, the wedding reception ended. People shook hands with and hugged the couple—they congratulated them in every way possible. Some who missed the photo shoot segment seized the opportunity to take pictures with them. The heap of gifts and wrapped packs was enormous. Soon, all that ended and the couple stepped into the SUV tagged, ‘Just Wedded’ and zoomed off.

Seated at the back of the car as the driver drove them home, the couple looked at each other. The look was full of longing affection for each other and the heat within them began to rise. They both smiled because they knew that …

…Tonight would be great and energetic!

At op, you're a great, beautiful and intelligent writer. It's only your literature I've read here without sexual illustrations and yet you describe love in such a manner that would want you to lovingly fall in love.
May your skills open more doors of opportunities you you. You're simply the best, guy. Cheers

Well, Bayo actually got what he wanted—Rachael. It was only unfortunate that Rachael got trapped in a loveless marriage with him feeling on regrets thereafter.

Thank you for the compliment too.

Thank you so much for the good words, babajeje123.

Really, I believe that a romance novel doesn't necessarily has to contain sexually explicit contents to be interesting to read and learn from and to qualify as a romance novel.

I let this principle guide whenever I write about love and I'm glad you appreciated that.

Your head is there, my broda.
