Going with this teaching. I want to encourage her to just tell the girls there. That the foundation of marriage is money. And to all the youths there. That money is the reigning god.

Honestly how will we change our cultural values, with messages like this.

I have already clearly shown the context.

She did not make the statement in isolation, she said other things. Collectively, these provide a context for as to what she was talking about. She was specifically talking to people who don't have jobs but want to get married.
D statement reads thus: "When u run out of cash, she falls out of love".

4a person to run out of something means d person had that thing b4. To run out of money means u had money b4. So d context isn't about those who don't have jobs. D statement is clearly saying if u run out of money, ur wife's love 4u will wane which isn't supposed 2b. Having Money shouldn't b a condition 4 winning or securing a woman's love b4 or during marriage.

Is Mummy justifying those married women cheating on their husbands? Like what if the man loses his source of income?
So women are permitted to fall out of love?

Pastor Foluke Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye, has given marital advice to people who are looking forward to getting married.

According to Pastor Foluke Adeboye, a man needs to get a job before getting married, or else his wife will fall out of love with him when he falls out of cash.

At the day 4 of the Church’s annual youth convention, Pastor Foluke, who is popularly referred to as Mummy G.O, also gave advice to people whose marriage might be facing some crisis.

Below are some points from her sermon which were shared on the Church’s official Twitter account.

... When you read things like this from a supposed "woman of God", it portrays a signal that there's no hope in our places of worship. From her submission, she's subtly telling men to do anything doable to satisfy the wife financially even if it is sinful. tongue tongue

What is there to understand my friend? Are you okay? Her statement should have been. “Marriage shouldn’t be built on money but on hard work, love and understanding” simple! God forbid the kind of teaching these so-called modern preachers are passing to people like you. May y’all rot in hell!

How can such a pure statement be misconstrued?....there is no room for that....the husband goes broke...the wife loses her love...plain and simple. And we be wondering why these pastors panic when Freeze be diverting their cash inflow.

"SUPOOSED TO" is very distant from "REALITY".

A lot of things "supposed to" or "isn't suposed to be". grin grin

We must separate "EXPECTATIONS" from "REALITY".

Nigeria and Nigerians are not supposed to be poor - EXPECTATION
Nigerians and Nigeria are Poor - REALITY.

Nigeria, a country of nearly 200Million people is NOT SUPPOSED to be governed by a School Cert Holder - EXPECTATION
The President of Nigeria is a School Cert Holder - REALITY

Electiosn are NOT SUPPOSED to be Rigged - EXPECTATION
Electiosn in Nigeria are Rigged - REALITYT

A Judge is NOT SUPPOSED to collect Bribe to dispense Justice - EXPECTATION
Many Jusges have been caught collecting Bribe, Two were just sacked by the NJC today! - REALITY.

So, we must separate 'expectations' (Wife must love their husbands, rich or poor) from the reality (Wives nor send any husband that allows comfort to disappear from his home) grin grin

Mummy G.O. don face reality, even before she marry Adeboye

Please dont insult the woman, you guys of today are just too myopic to accept reality!
You dont have to DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL OR CRIMINAL, to make your wife comfortable.

It is simple:
- Get a GOOD Education and come out with a good grade
- Train and Develop yurself with SKILLS that are in Demand, marketable Skills
- Dont be lazy, dont do drugs, dont indulge in things that would reduce your worth and market value and dont do anything ILLEGAL or UNLAWFUL
- Leave time in you rlife to communicate with God or whatever you belive in.
-Develop Standard morals and values about life

I swear, if you do these five simple things during your Youthful years are you are not comfortable by 30yrs, confront me and l would set you up in business, with enough capital that would make you rich enough to throw back my Capital in my face, in less than seven years from the day l gave it to you.

Comfortable Life is not Magic, it is a painstaking process of step-by-step, coupled with dilligence, which most young people dont have.
Anyone who can HONESTLY say, with their hands on their heart, that they have done all the five things above and are still uncomfortable in life, need deliverance.
I will offer it. grin grin

and d reality is that not every man will always have money in his pocket just d way pastor adeboye has. D reality is that u can't use what a person calls reality to create ur own reality. Reality is relative. So mrs adeboyes idea of reality isnt universal as far as a mans income is concerned. Her husband is rich& she is certain their investment will keep yielding. What do u expect her to say? If a guy uses money 2 win a woman's attention, there will a time it won't b there. That's y I ended my post by saying that having Money shouldn't b a condition 4 winning or securing a woman's love b4 or during marriage. That's d reality

when i see supporting wives who are the bedrocks in their marriage when the chips are down it makes me not to tag all nigerian women as gold diggers. Forget this one bikocheesy. There are good nigerian wives whose loyalty isnt infuenced by money and materialism.

The way people worship money in this era, then we should take it as equivalent to human lives (even more equal in many cases). So if someone kills because of money, you say it is worth, if he can get away with it. It is shameful what is happening because of money in this era of humanity

Only a hypocrite will not agree with the above statement.
