Please stop spreading misinformation. This is FALSE.

What I meant to say is that most Americans use their cars for about 10years or about and get rid of it or sale it .. Nobody keeps their cars that long ..the older the cars get the more it cost to maintain.. This is what I was really trying to say..

My point is the cost of maintaining a car.. Too expensive to rebuilt a car, it is better to sale it.. I will never rebuilt an engine, I will just sale it off...

Try the link again ...yes those 2000 models cars are coming from USA. But a lot of them will not pass inspection test my brother.. It will cost more to fix it so people rather sell it ..keep in mind rust is also a big problem on some cars.. For naija level and cost of labour those cars will last another few more years in naija if the car is well taken care of ..
And also the auction cars ,why do people sell their cars to the auction.. In some cases the car is either too old or the cost of fixing it outweighs the value of the car ..sometimes u can get good deal too.. And nobody wants to buy high mileage car, so before that 10 year period the car will loose value.. The car might be in good mechanical shape, but the value of cars in USA is Base on millage...

Well how many of them are road worthy? If you can recall that at one point, the Nigerian custom banned cars from certain age from coming into the country. The government felt that Nigeria became a dumping ground for these cars. But later on people protest that most Nigerians can't afford newer models cars. So the age limit was reverse ... Ghana for example has an age limit for cars coming in ...I think the car has to be at least 7 years old or something.. But the point is they have a better regulations than Nigeria... And again not to beat a dead horse, a lot of imported cars from USA can still last a few more years in Nigeria if it is well taken care ..but not to the point that you keep rebuilding engine over and over and over again... we can agree to disagree...

"General, however, people don't really keep their cars forever. Research by R.L. Polk says that t he average age of a modern vehicle is 11.4 years, while the average length of time drivers keep a new vehicle is 71.4 months -- around 6 years. So even if you plan to own a car forever, the statistics are against you. You might get in an accident, you might start to have expensive issues or you might simply decide it's time to upgrade to a newer model."

That is NOT the same as what you were implying.

Auction cars are mostly insurance or off lease not individually owned

.

Wow ok than ..a friend of mine went to the auction to bid for a 2003 camry car ..he won the bid for $450.00 ,but the owner of the vehicle stated that the bid is too low and that my friend should pay $750.00.
As far am concerned u can put ur car up for auction and pay the cost of it ..meaning there is a fee for it ...now in my state auction fees and regulation might be different from your state..

For crying out loud, what does this refute? I worked for two dealerships. It's off lease vehicles , insurance and trade-ins predominantly. I swear I lose brain cells every time I converse with you. Uber thread is calling you.

Also, the "owner" in your example was most likely a dealer SMH.

Lady you can loose all the brain cells u want... if I want to sell my car I can go through auction, a person that has a license can sell it for me and of course they will be a fee for it ..cars sold in the auction also include donated cars too ...u making it seems as if only lease cars, trade ins, insurance etc ..donated cars are also sold too ..let us make that clear too...
Now am not knocking your company off too ..what people don't know also that auto parts company like ,autozone, advance auto parts and of course carquest which is not very common on the Eastcoast sell inferior parts ..they give unlimited warrant on some parts.. The parts don't last that long and they can always give u another one ,due to the low quality.. So let us be humble lady... so these your carquest up and down like u the Lord of the ring ...make I keep my mouth shut..all these parts are basically a poor man parts shop... if anybody wants to get correct parts, the dealership is the best way to go..better quality and warranty.. U can buy them parts from them and take it to your mechanic to fix .. What I talk about have done before... but due to bad or fake parts sold in Nigeria carquest is a welcome idea no doubt in that, I would even rather buy from you guys than go Ladippo ... but at times you make it seem like u know it all and nobody can challenge.. Walmart, target, autozone, advance auto, Carquest etc all the same stuff ..to sell low quality goods at an affordable price.. Just keeping it 100% with you.. At same time I welcome the idea into the Nigerian Market .. I rather buy from you than go buy fake outside...

Of course am not going to just enter an auction site and drop off the car to sell ..I still have to go through a dealer, u think am stupid or what... anybody can sell their car at the auction, they just have to go through a dealer or person that has an auction lincense

abeg dru33 which state are u always referring to so I can tailor my approach and conversation with u based on the state u r talking about......

I don't even think it's "the states " and I have a very strong and cogent reason......

with this ur grammatical blunders, it is highly unlikely that TOEFL and Ielts would pass you. even if u manage to pass the grammatical section, the comprehension aspect where one gets to read a passage and understand it completely would give u away as a fraud.......

why not be calm, we understand that u sell oil(palm, coconut, groundnut, olive etc) ...... u r not the first and will certainly not be the last.... u jump at every opportunity u get to derail and spam healthy and educative threads whilst displaying an extreme level of ignorance yet u refuse to take corrections.......

Lol. That's a great business model isn't it? Sell inferior parts with warranties that you have to keep replacing. Makes total sense. Selling inferior parts is how we got to be one of the largest parts distributors in the America you are always touting. Won't lose money at all that way. Riiiiiiggghhhttt. Never mind the fact that half of the parts are the OE in the vehicles shocked

That's why you contacted us wanting us to diagnose and fix your car right? That's exactly why you didn't receive a response. We will not touch your car because you will have some stupid claims after the fact that we are not going to entertain. Please carry your oil and car to the dealership.

English is obviously a struggle for you. Your claim was that auction cars are full of people's cars and you were corrected that the majority were not. I don't know everything but I know enough to only comment on things I do know. Apparently I'm the only one here that still wastes energy on you.
