If you as a black man go to some rural communities in India,China, they will still run out and come and take pictures with you.
Even in Goa, India if they see you they will just be looking, and you can cause an accident on the road. This is a true life experience. Its not rare my dear. Many of them wouldn't mind being black if not that black has been associated with a lot of bad things.
As I was saying earlier, I saw a white woman who had just come back from holiday, and couldn't get the right tan on her skin. She was touching my skin and told me I was lucky. They get to worry a lot about the sun, skin cancers etc.
I am a very self assured black person, and it's not till I bring down a white person before I can continue to make a headway in life. You can't fight with every white person, learn to coexist with them.
I understand the slavery issues, but African ancestors were not all innocent in this. They sold their brothers (though not all slaves were sold by fellow Africans, as some were forcefully taken) Heck, many African countries were colonised by the white man.
But I am not my ancestors, so i shouldn't be prosecuted for their own actions of selling their brothers. Neither are the current day white man his ancestors who colonised Africa , and perpetrated the slave trade, disrupted Africa and stole from us
We have to learn from the past, hate won't get you there. I know my history, but I'm also a very pragmatic person. I have seen racism in the white man's land, but i have also met some of the most fantastic people in the form of the white man. How do you marry the 2 experiences? The white man a devil, and the same white man an angel.
I have come to the conclusion that I should judge individuals as individuals and not as a group. Not all white men are racists.
Even the American civil war wasn't won by just blacks. It was won by both whites and blacks who had the same ideology that some people shouldnt be forced to serve others. Many white people lost their lives in the war by fighting against their brothers who believed in slavery.
I won't be surprised if more white people lost their lives than the blacks in this war supporting the black man's cause. In life, you need allies and you form alliances. It may be with the least expected person.
Don't burn bridges but build them.
That's my friendly word of advice to you, as someone who has had a bit of life experience.

Our traditional outfits are not Halloween outfits please, and dont compare them to such. They are not costumes either. We the owners of the wears appreciate our thing, as our culture and heritage

So many people wear agbada and are celebrated on NL. Ebuka trended all over the cyber world in Naija some time ago, simply for wearing a traditional outfit. I have seen white people come over to Nigeria, and they didn't have security details.
If you go abroad, and you feel you're so t.ush, like Ote with the money, for sure you can get private security. Na your money afterall.
I can't afford to have security escorts abroad, and nobody will offer it free. Even in Nigeria, i don't think i can afford one, and so you won't see me with any escort detail.
I have an uncle who's not a politician, not anything in Nigeria who has security details when he is around. He is a black man too. Davido goes about with security details, and so many other artistes in this same Nigeria. Why is your eye not entering those ones?
