Hello mamas in the house congrats to all that have given birth especially team October.
Pls I av a question to ask that is bothering me, am 4 days to my due date, does not having sex during pregnancy affect labour because I av not had sex through out this pregnancy reason been that my hobby is not around due to do nature of his job am kind of worried as the day comes near

Please o, who knows if aju mbaise can be used in 1st week of delivery. My mom came for omugwo with it and I'm not too comfortable drinking it now. I thought it's for menstrual pain and conception? How is it that it's also used to cook ji mmiri oku. She got it for me in 2nd year of ttc and said it's for menstrual pain. I had less pain the month I used it though. Now she's saying it will make my tummy to reduce faster... Is it even safe for baby?

You don't need to be worried about it for now, I experienced it during my first pregnancy everything lies on the size of the baby ,highest of it all they will give you tear. When the time comes that place usually opens on it own I equally know that if hubby is around it would hv been of a great help but since he is not around you can't do anything about it I believe once we have God everything will work out perfectly fine whether kpekus or no kpekus so be positive nothing dey happen

am a first time expecting mum. 4mths gone. had fever which I didn't take serious until I started throwing up and stooling since Sat. was rushed to d hospital,begged d doc not to b admitted. was given an injection, to take malaria drug (fansidar),eat and rest well. was told to do a scan. baby is fine from the result.
right now nothing appeals to me, I don't sleep well. even if I eat I av indigestion. is it safe to use mismag? for lack of sleep,doc gave Valium, MIL said it is not safe. that it cause quick dilation or something.
pls I need help. need to sleep and eat well. those two are my major concern.

I used mismag when I was 2 months pregnant and I was given by the doctor though it never stayed down as I always threw up so the doctor prescribed antacids.i literally survived on antacids thru out my pregnancy bcoz I get heartburn every damn time I ate. When I was 7 months gone I was prescribed gasco and that helped too. All what am trying to say is trust ur doctor(as long as its a gynaecologist) They know what is right for you and your baby. Our mothers and MIL do think most of drugs prescibed by d doctors might be harmful to the baby. well thats how most of them are ...they tell us things like that all the time.. Get used to it cos even after giving birth you will be confused As to what's right for the baby bcoz everybody becomes a doctor then.

You can do scan as often as you like it can't hurt your baby and since its not like X-ray, so i was told by my doctor. You can know the sex your baby as soon as 18 weeks. Some people say some twins can hide but my doctor told me twins can't be missed by scan and you can find out as soon as 8-12weeks.

Things are pretty expensive in abk... I say in abk and I just had my baby 2 months ago.. I bought part of my baby things from kwara and the rest here... It would really be better if you know the person you are buying from. Lots of sellers of baby things patronize the hospital I used (Oba Ademola, ijemo) especially every Tuesday and Friday and since there is competition among the sellers ,the price tends to reduce.
