Maybe I'm missing something here..who called you a scammer? Or are you the agent? If you are not then why are you getting angry because people smell a rat about the agent you introduced them to?

An a agent who lives in London is asking for $1300 to process an admission to Mexico and was ready to allow prospective student skip exam and interview ?

Smh
that is obviously the Agent @justwise you don't need to seek further. Dear applicant once you skip any Exam and interview. Consider yourself a victim already.

I think the primary reason for this thread was not even for this university issue because benpedro stated a couple of times we shouldn't derail the thread with this. I think we are too bitter as Nigerians, we don't get the facts before we make our judgement and anywhere we hear scam, we just take up arms without viewing the full picture. We are just too bitter in everything

yea

You have a point

It's the environment tho in Nigeria that is to blame for an average Nigerian suspecting scam at the slightest instance

Too many Nigerians like to take advantage of others and that has made Nigerians suspicious of everything undecided

This thread should not be derailed bikonu

anyone who wants to study in Mexico should do his/her due diligence, that's why there is internet

And for my brothers and sisters, I know Nigeria is very hard now, and things are difficult, and you feel leaving Nigeria is the way to go

Nothing bad with that but PLEASE PLEASE AND PLEASE, do your due diligence and don't take desperate moves.

Desperate moves could get you scanned or duped

I have seen stranded and broken Nigerians and trust me, you don't want to be in that box.

God bless you all.

bro, you wouldn’t blame them, they just want to be conscious of their dealings and I wouldn’t blame you also as you want to be a good Nigerian. The rate at which Nigerians scam each other now is on the high side and nothing to be proud of, that’s why everyone wants to be sure of their dealings. I really commend your efforts on this thread.

I think justwise came to speedy judgement without due diligence. We need to base our judgement on facts and not on speculation and skepticism

What are you on about? Did anybody here insulted him or accused him of being an agent before he jumped and decided not to post?

He was the one the brought up the issue of an agent and quickly got angry when people suspected foul play.

I know you desperately want info from him hence your display of dear leader act here.

The fact that it wasn't the primary reason for the thread means nothing. It could mean he's a very intelligent scammer. He could have opened a thread about life in Mexico knowing fully well some people will surely ask about how to study in Mexico. Every thread about life in any country, people surely ask about how to study there. Even the one on Kenya.
I'm not saying i'm sure this guy is a scammer but I'm a little skeptical about the guy. When a guy asked about how he could get to study in Mexico, it was around that time he had visited a school the previous week. I think that's a funny coincidence. He said he'd pay the agent for admission to Mexico for his sister. I think that's to give a impression that it's definitely not a scam. Another crazy thing is that the agent is based in the U. K and is demanding for a whooping $1300. Apart from that sef he said you won't get to write an entrance exam which is a requirement for admission into the University. How is this possible?? Does the agent have this deal with the University?? I wonder why the University will make such deal.
The thing that makes this whole thing shout this is a scam is the OP's reaction to everything.

not always the case bro

I spoke to an immigration lawyer some time back *a Nigerian immigration lawyer practicing in the U.S. anyways*

according to him o, once you are married to a US citizen, all sins are forgiven grin grin

I.e. as long as you use a sharp immigration lawyer cool
Your sins are forgiven only if you enter through their normal Port of Entry with a visa. But if you walk in or get smuggled in through the boarder fence, sorry na your case. No amount of US citizen wives or sharp immigration lawyers can help you. Many Mexicans with US citizen wives get deported everyday and leave their US citizen children behind. It’s up to the wife if she would like to relocate with her husband or not. I think you did not ask the lawyer about that aspect why millions of Mexicans are illegal . If not millions of South Americans would have become legal today after many of them have spent decades in the US and still illegal.

This is not for the OP because he thinks he knows.

For others, this is blatantly incorrect.

Many foreigners with US family are living outside the US and some with lifetime bans.

Maybe his reference to "sharp immigration lawyer" was a lawyer that would file for a waiver of inadmissiblity for unlawful presence.

If USCIS grants the waiver. Then "all sins are forgiven"
