He never had the love and affection he deserved as a child, growing up. It's an emotional catastrophe that would take a lot to heal. He doesn't feel like he can love kids or a wife because he didn't experience that. His father must have been a nightmare to his mother too. Hence the reason why he chose not to have kids or get married.

Most people don't get it. I can't blame them though. They'll never get to understand. But those who do, must have gone through similar conditions to know how this guy really feels.

Actually he said that the maltreatment he received has made him question a lot we take for granted... he specifically does not want marriage, nor kids.

I thank God for my life and always thank my parents for choosing themselves as sane people. I cannot judge him or any other child living with a mentally unstable parent. I hope he finds peace and joy in his life. I hope this is a lesson for us all on how to treat and respect our children. The position of a parent should never be one of terrorist. If you know you are getting to that extent, seek help as a parent.

I will neither judge nor blame him as I'm not in his shoes. Children don't wake up resenting the parents that brought them into the world. A child that resents his parent to the extent of celebrating his death must have been severely ad severally abused by the parent. Truth be told, most Nigerian men don't know how to be good parents, all they do is inflict fear into the child. The fear grows into resentment after some time. When such child wants nothing to do with them when he's grown, they start saying it's the mother that poisoned the child's mind against them. Still, it's never a good to celebrate your father's death publicly like this.
