Bro. You studied Geoinformatics? I sent you a mail
enocholumide:
Who said you cannot finish with first class in Germany?

Yes you can, not that it really matters anyways, but you know how it goes. Your skills and papers speak for you in Germany.

Over two years ago, I was a silent reader on this thread, full of valuable information, kudos to the creator of this thread. You guys are changing lives.

For the new comers and the guys in the middle of their masters here, just know everything is possible. What you put in is what you get - garbage in, garbage out.

I'm here to encourage you to " risk been seen in all of your Glory ". Never give up, but ensure you put your best or don't do it at all.

Before end of studies, I had very nice job offers, processed EU blue card directly even before my final master defence.

Germany is tough, yes! But it is not necessarily tough, as long as you are tougher, but don't be rude. The Professors are very nice, but do not let them tag you "unserious", else you ll be seeing 3.3 on your grade sheet every semester - they don't care too, if you don't care about your grades.

If you are involved in group project, you can't hide behind the middle finger! They know if you are not working, they are not stupid! Don't be pushed back because of the color of your skin, lead the group and understand you are as equal as them, but don't rub it on anyone's face!

Quickly avoid the Professors that doesn't like you, Yes there are! Don't take their courses if you can avoid it! Very mean and crazy, with the way the Nigerian government dealt with you before you leave, last thing you need is a another witch or wizard in DE.

Make good impressions - the Professors profiles you from your write up, yes I know , I was an HIWI with one. If you are to write a paper, please read a lot of journals and write sound report, put in your best and don't copy!!!! All you need is that first impression - it happened to me. I was just in the studio one day and the Dean walked up to me, she asked: "Have you been a lecturer or been writing research papers before, could you join our academic commission?" -> I told you, put in your best in all you do!

Don't give your friend to copy your work, I know it sounds selfish unless he\she paid half of your block account money for you. But hey, if its going to hurt you, don't do it. Else, you ll enter the black book and the mark is good to be divided by the number of 'copiants' - I saw it happened!!. This is not Nigeria, anyone that wants to copy your work is ... need I say more?

In my school, the exams are very tough. 10 - 18 questions within 60minutes and you need over 93% (Some Profs 97%) to get the highest grade - 1.0. In short, you should be highly prepared for the exam before you register for it! Don't gamble! You can always write it when you are ready, next semester - but don't let it be too long. Ironically in my school, the further you push your exams, the lower the possibility of securing a good grade - it happened to me, I was shocked! I pushed Remote sensing and Photogrametry to the 3rd semester, I got a shock of my life! (I hate the course, but it was compulsory).

Not that your CGPA is the most important thing in life anyways - which is true. If you value relationships and social life more, go for it - we all need connections. But for some of us, we'd like to finish what we started with remarkable evidence wink

There are plenty things to say, but the post is getting rather too long. I'm sure you understand what I mean - YOU CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE - TAKE YOURSELF VERY SERIOUS - NO ONE CARES.

With greetings and warm regards..

First tell him to read through this group it will help him.

Secondly he should put his documents together and prepare for next year's application. Age is not a problem I am in my 30's used a waec result that's 18 years old, and Bsc that's 9 years old to apply for another Bsc and I am here in germany ....s

So if he is ready then he should start working . By this time last year I had all My documents ready ,had the list of schools I wanted to apply to..just waiting for them to start admission ...

Schooling here is not easy so you have to learn how to prepare yourself. And help yourself by yourself. smiley
Thanks you so much

You've not been following this thread. Some people here have gotten AM while someone like Fustinachichi, she's already in Pfarrkirchen because she posted 2-3 pages back , when she talked about Fintiba Insurance.

I had my interview on August 28th, Funded and sent blocking confirmation to the embassy 2 days later, yet to get AM from the embassy, mailed them since it was 4th week they replied me 6 days ago that they are yet to hear from the Alien office, then I tried to get hold of the alien office in Giesen for almost a week but they don’t speak English, to God be the glory I was able to get connected to their boss today and he said my financial document is missin , he gave me the alien office email, I sent it to him less than 30 minutes ago, he confirmed it and said they will verify the document and I should get intouch with him toward the end of next week I just hope they get this done before my enrollment deadline which is the 26th of this month, it’s been long waiting

Please send a mail to your school asking for extension of enrolment to somewhere around Mid Novemher. When your AM comes they will ask you to specify travel date which can't be before 26th(They insist you allow 10 days between AM/Sending yours Passport and travel date.
And since it won't before 26th, they will ask you for confirmation of extension from school.

Get it now, so it doesn't delay you further after your AM.

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Nellso: 1:57am On Oct 14, 2018
Amen.... The extension is a mail I sent to the IAS and they replied. I didn't send it to the embassy. But in your case, you'll have to submit it to the embassy before they can release your AM. And yes, your have to be in university letter head paper. Good luck Bro.

Congrats Bro. I dey your back. Will see in Freiburg by God's grace. Regarding the enrollment extension, is it in form of a mail or university letter headed PDF. Also, did you submit the extension along with your passport to the embassy ?

and please i need to link up with anyone dat can connect me to a sponsor, lets talk and see how to go about that part cos i really need a coach

Check on their website> consular affairs and other matters> select a date favorable> print the email confirmation. Certification is free for up to 5 copies. When going to the embassy, don't forget to attach the online application form from the university you applied or are applying to. Hope this helps.
