It takes approximately 21 working days after they receive all requested documents before the ECA report is delivered. Sometimes, it may be sent in a shorter time though.

PPR has landed. Yipee Yippee Yippee!!!

IELTS- June 3 2017. Required score.
WES - stories for another day.Over six months. Unilad try frustrate, I also believe things would by naturally and I waited and sitting for transcript to be sent. Not until I went to beg, cry and fight. A month after, it was sent. Later discovered, error on dob, process had to be initiated again. In between, made friend with different UNILAG officers, NASU strike. Last last I got it over and dusted. Most frustrating so far.

ITA - May 23
AOR - July 17
MEP/IP1 - August 23 or so.
Got ADR for spouse medical reports.
BG in progress noticed Oct 15.
PPR - Oct 17(Dated 16th)

Family of four.
VO unknown, no LoE.

A few errors here and there. Noticed my current job offer letter has a name mix match after submission. This is a letter that have been with me for 2+years never noticed.

Used spouse fund as POF no letter no gift deed.
Claim sibblings point no birth certificate used. Just marriage cert of both showing same father.

I was just thinking of GCMS note. And then God showed up mightily.

Thanks to all the wealth of resources here. Been so helpful.

Best of Luck to everyone.

Hope I try Sha.

raphrulz:

Hi

Don't understand what you mean by reason. No his statement was not included. Gift deed prepared and signed by commissioner for oaths (at high court)
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by raphrulz: 5:10pm On Oct 17, 2018
Funds in accounts of accompanying spouse (included in the application) can be used... as long as you obtain a consent letter that allows that. You didn't even have to stress yourselves transferring the money to your account. However, there are no issues as long as the source of funds can be proved if requested.

Per the 2nd question: The reference letter (showing average balance) from the bank in CIC format, is indeed the requirement for POF. No where on the platform stipulates that 6 months bank statement must be presented. However, people present it to avoid delays, ADRs or doubts about the POF documents presented. Its not really compulsory.

Ndukaezennia1:
Congrats to all that got ITA. PPR, IELTS. May the news of joy continue to come in this forum.

Please I have two questions, my spouse transferred part of the proof of funds to my account. Now we want to fix this money in T-Bills. Will the fact that this money just came into my account pose a problem if I use it for T-Bills?

We intend to use 2 T-Bills certificate (if we include this new one) and a Letter from Co-operative as proof of funds and a letter from the Bank. Is there any need for the 6 months account statement since the Balance in this account will not be up to 100k after using the money to purchase Treasury Bills?

I didn't av to raise any CSE on POF.
Was planning that for both letter of declaration and include the new FD certificate after the one used expired.

1. You can buy the Tbill.
2. 6 months SOA not mandatory. If you add it, you may add a letter of support/gift declaration from your spouse to reflect the money he/she transferred.

TEECANN:
Most times, the VO may not bother to levy your pensions balance where other funds submitted covers the POF required for the family size. Hence some people conclude that their pensions weren't used. That doesn't mean that the 25% pension account balance is not acceptable as a source of POF

Don't put yourself under any unnecessary stress of chasing what is not. Try to research these things and be guided appropriately.

It will end in praise IJN!

Quick question pls, I've been in the pool since Jan with a score of 431. I have a sibling who got ITA sometime in june and has submitted all documents, currently on the stage of Medicals passed. At what stage in this process do I update my profile to get 15 points for sibling in canada?

Anyone pls?
ONLY AFTER your sibling has LANDED and gotten his/her COPR SIGNED by a border officer.your profile should not be updated earlier than when this landing formality is carried out.

iaatmguy, i hope say you don fix that keyboard? Lol.

30 minutes later, Ifeoma77 replied saying, "I second this motion jare! Every time I see "It's PPR, Long post alert", e dey sweet my belle. We want more".

LOL........................

Thanks guys for all the invaluable information, helpful tips and encouragements. I love the spirit here. Such an atmosphere of friendly and pleasant people with positive mindsets. The collaboration, support and eagerness at which everyone helps each other is amazing. God bless you all.

Most importantly, I thank God for seeing me through every step of this arduous albeit exciting and interesting journey.

My announcement would NEVER be complete if I don't pray to God to immeasurably bless my altruistic and selfless brother @Topsmamen whose constant encouragement piqued my interest to try Express Entry shortly after he sacrificed so much for me by paying my tuition fees to go for my Masters in the UK in 2015. Prior to that, Naija dealt me a heavy blow as I was going through harsh times at my place of work and I had lost so much weight and looking pale. I decided there and then that since I wasn't born to suffer, I needed to throw my punch back at Naija. My brother once saw a picture of me looking frail and malnourished and he was quite stunned like "Haba! This is too much na. We need to get you out of Naija. Let's try the UK". I was glad he read my mind but I had no idea how I could single-handedly leave the country and fend for myself (with a meagre salary and with not much to go on). The plan was that I would do my best to settle in the UK because at the time, we presumed that my degree and experience in Health and Social Care would fetch me a job and I would settle in the UK (smh....how ignorant we were). Friends and family residing in the UK also encouraged me to try the UK with promises of helping me with a job and settle in the UK (I should have just 'yinmu-ed' at them but my desperation to leave Nigeria made me believe and swallow their story). After completing my Masters, village people somehow made me go back to Nigeria and the hustle continued. It got worse, I went into making cocktails and beads to survive. I eventually got a job at a hospital with a salary of 40k and to make matters worse, my salary was never paid on time. At this point, my brother was too broke to help the family as he had just spent his entire life savings on my Masters. Till today, I do not know how we managed, but God kept us.

Fast forward to 2017 and he came up with the Express Entry idea. His words were "why don't you try this too? You have a Masters degree, age is on your side, and all you need to do is write the IELTS and evaluate your Masters degree". I felt bad that he had spent a lot of money on me and we ended up not achieving our ultimate goal for me to settle in the UK so I told him I would wait till things got better as I could not put him through this again. He explained that my going to the UK was not a waste as I had achieved a Masters degree and that as a matter of fact, the Masters degree would help boost my CRS points and this made a lot of sense. We had no idea how we would get funds to start the process considering that a lot of money would be involved, I felt totally helpless but after several discussions with him, and knowing that he also had no idea where the money would come from, we held on to faith and we decided to take it one step at a time starting with WES. This decision was made on May 5, 2017. I remember that day vividly because that was the first time I learned of the province - "Saskatchewan". I took to the internet to do research on Express Entry and Canada, I looked at several internet images and read up about Canada and before i knew it, I was having a crush on Canada. Basically, plans for my life became Canada-focused. I spent a great deal of time reading about my new Country and the provinces/territories: their culture, history, employment, skill gaps and socio-economic development. My research was quite deep that I even got to learn that Nova Scotia is well known for their fish and lobsters....lol. I imagined myself in Canada already (Yes, I can dream not just for Africa, but the world too). In November 2017, I stumbled on the Part 2 of the Canada Express entry on Nairaland and page 1 caught my attention. God bless Zandora, 40manlappy and GlitteringStar for placing such detailed and vast information in a properly arranged manner. God bless you all. The infamous Page 1 is not a punishment as people think, it's actually quite an interesting read. The people who have created this life-changing threads have done tremendously well and deserve praise. I mean, it's a lot of work. I implore newbies to read as much as possible, this has been repeatedly advised by countless people and do not take it personally when you are referred to Mr Page 1. The knowledge you gain by reading here can never be taken from you and will forever be yours to keep, so read up guys. None of us got here knowing all what we know now. Take a look at our beloved brother - smslive2, who was once a newcomer but now has over 2 million Nairaland followers and has built an empire in Nairaland City (Bro, no be shots fired this time o, na accolades fired. Lol. The calmness and patience you display in your responses to questions are laudable, please keep up the good work).

So my people, that was how he did everything (from my 'deciding-to-go-to-Canada' stage up till PPR). He prepared me for the IELTS and thankfully, my first and only attempt was LRWS: 9, 9, 8, 8.). He paid my WES fees, dived into the pool with me (I mean, he created and submitted my EE profile....lol). Together, we painstakingly spent several weeks in contact with each other to ensure that my former employer wrote the reference letter correctly and also to ensure that my bank statements, gift deed, LOEs and additional documents were in the required formats. He re-reviewed all my documents and ensured they were in good order, he deposited $7,000 into my account as part of my gift deed (when he was barely managing his own finances and other obligations), he paid my RPRF fees and submitted my eAPR. He also paid for and ordered my GCMS notes.

I am utterly blessed to have him as my brother. He took the pain of constantly checking my profile and always told me, "Don't worry, your PPR will come soon". He basically took most of the pressure off me. I owe him a great deal of gratitude and God-willing, I will return the favour in a million fold. There are countless great things that he has done in my life that mentioning them here would make this my PPR announcement seem like an ABRIDGED GIST.....lol. Many thanks bro! You're a rare gem. God bless you in unimaginable ways. #MyRealMVP#MySuperHero#YouCameThroughForMe.

To my fellow sisters and brothers - dumsydsassy1, Tippex, wizean, vickyehi, doncorleone, ShininLite and other June AORS, I can't wait for your PPR announcements. I'm praying along and rooting for you guys.

For those who are on the verge of giving up on this journey, please do not despair. Divine help will definitely come your way.
For those in different stages of the application, let us keep being hopeful, the wait might be exhausting and stressful, but it will eventually happen. Last last, we would all meet in Canada someday and rejoice over our PR successes and laugh at the interesting drama and plenty fights here.

On my way now to submit my passport sharply as I owe my loving brother some sweet 15 sibling points. The journey is not over until we both get our COPRs and land in Canada. It will surely end in praise. #DancingShakuShakuAway. I will keep you guys updated as events unfold. Thank you All.

Make I drop this phone and hold my dear passport tight because this bus conductor is looking at me like .........

As per my understanding... If you visit a country after a PCC was issued, then you will need to reapply for a fresh PCC (If you are yet to submit your eAPR). You need to apply for a PCC after the last time you exit a country! This doesn't apply to your current country of residence.

For countries in which the applicant no longer lives, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the client lived in that country.

For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR.

I suspect, cannot speak categorically, that the operative word here is “lived”, can a visitor to a country be said to “live” there. From reading your quote above I am not sure a person will require a new PCC after a visit, subject to proof other than the quote above.

Please how do I go about this thing that WES is asking for? I actually have NECO not WAEC.

Final Secondary Examination Results (e.g. West African Senior School Certificate) must be submitted directly to WES by the appropriate examining body for evaluation along with all higher education documents. No evaluation will be completed without the final secondary examination results.

I have a quick question:

I am currently filling the PR application online (got ITA!, we thank God), under the educational history do I need to include my undergraduate degree details since I only claimed points (with ECA) for my masters degree ?

But in the spirit of happiness I’ll answer:

You can address it in any of the 2. CIC address or whom it may concern. Both are acceptable!
