Ipob you made some salient points about the Fulani but we are faced with a choice between the two candidates and we have chosen Atiku. There are other aspirants from other parties. The problem is that many Igbo's are carried away by what majority thinks. Why don't you look at the likes of Oby Ezekwesili , Sowore, Donald Duke. These calibre of persons have vision and the mind of Nigerians at heart not those old men that still operate analogue way of ruling. What do you think they will say expect for the sermons we are used to( electricity, water, good road, education e.t.c) Pls bear in mind that not all of us are members of your useless ipob. Then vote persons that have Nigerians in mind. Don't be moved by these propaganda from different groups |

TheOdd1sOut:Forget about all this fake news Igbo are for Atiku and we will massively vote for him weather KANU llkes it or not. Buhari wanted to use KANU to work against atiku. But he has failed woefully. Listen am an Igbo man and all Igbos are not ipob |

yommitte00:Thank you Mazi. We have drummed the dangers of having one fulani man replace another fulani in perpetuation but was shocked at the unsavory jubilation of the corrupt lots over Atiku candidacy. They carried on as if there are no southern candidates with better integrity to protect the southern interest. Must murderous fulani tribe keep presenting with their candidate for us to fall heads over heels with misplaced support? Must we support the very people that have murdered our brothers and raped our women? Must we keep voting for the very people that do not wish to coexist with us in same country? Must we support a people that are intolerant of our religious believe? Must the south with all it's aclaimed level of education exibit such level of uneducated intelligence in ever supporting a fulani man. They are busy planning and scheming politically against us. We should also plan instead of playing a subordinate support role. We have Donald Duke, Sowore etc who are southerners in the race. A southern block vote for any of these will surely stalemate the presidential election. Let them know the south is strong and will always use the political chips to bargain for it's best interest. IPOB is 100% right and supported. |

asuustrike1:Bros, you are making good points...but here is the thing. Nigerians will complain about how bad government is all day long. Infact, visit your local vendor and see how Nigerians yab their government and the 'elite'......AND at the end of the day, they will obediently line up behind PDP or APC. It is the same worldwide. I have been on UK based threads where people complain about the 'evil TORIES' or the 'weak Labour'...and once election comes, guess which parties have the maximum number of seats. Or the USA....people will grumble about the evil Republicans and Democrats...and at the end of the day...guess who wins the maximum number of votes (And there are several other parties in the USA...plus independent candidates). The thing is, Nigerians prefer the devil they know and can predict, than the angel they do not know about. Like now, millions of Nigerians know who Buhari and Atiku are, long before they went into politcs. How many Nigerians know of Sowore (unless you read online publicaitons, or like me, have been following him since his exploits as a student union leader in the early 1990's), Moghalu (unless you like reading CBN and banking news), Ezekwesili (who only got well known because she became a Minister...before when she was holding the bigger World BANK job,how many people knew her?)...or that Durotoye guy? Yes, they all got nice plans ....but at the end of the day, Nigerians are going to go for 'stability' rather than 'change'...and if stability means Bubu or Atiku...so be it. And it pains me a lot...but what can one do? Keep trying? After all, when was the last time in other parts of the world someone actually voted to throw the elites out? Even in modern democracies (Don't mention Macron). |

introvertme:My friend, no matter what you think of Atiku, there is no comparison between Atiku and Buhari. What is the main negative thing that people say about Atiku ? That he is corrupt ? Now tell me, is Buhari not the most corrupt, the most dishonest, the Nigerian President most lacking in personal integrity in our history? Buhari is the worst tragedy to befall Nigeria since 1983. Should I give you the indisputable facts of this assertion ? In a two-party presidential election, its either you are voting for someone or you are voting against someone. Millions of Nigerians who have seen their lives, their livelyhoods, their standard of living and dreams vanish over the last 3 yrs have no choice than to vote AGAINST Buhari in 2019. |

Ojiofor:Please go and Atikulooting for your pocket. Enough of the charades and gimmicks of the northern oligarchy. The sole aim of the north is to protect its interest in the military, police, civil service and in politics. They embossed the sign of the north on our national currency as their claim to the country. Southerners, what interest are we protecting? Stop joining them to protect and canvass the northern interest. With us the law must apply and made to take its course but with the northerners, the law shouldn't apply at all times. If it were to be us, Ganduje would have been arrested by now but because it was them, it is allowed. We play to pacify them but they do not care a hoot about us. We live daily in fear of being exterminated in the north while they build industries in the south. Let us stand for once to protect our interest as southerners within Nigeria. Only such attitude on our part can change the country and bring the fulani man back to his senses. |

BluntBoy:Really?..i have gone further in life relationship, career and financial-wise than you can ever imagine....Nairaland is a jungle filled with twisted minds, one has to be tough to survive here and not be cyber-bullied to extinction by the many nut cases that are camped here especially as female... So i will keep being me here regardless of whose ox is gored...Now to my initial statement,it will be a shame to you if you turn out to be a buhari or APC supporter after your sermon(which i suspect you are) but if you are not then apologies to you. |
| Re: IPOB Press Release On Choice Of Atiku As President by meromero11: 3:31pm On Oct 21, 2018 |
Ojiofor:My suggestion is : Let us identify a strong and viable southern candidate -ofcourse of impeccable character quality and pedigree to support in the presidential race regardless of party. A block vote is all that is needed to send the right signals to the fulanis on the southern resolve to be governed based on its own terms. With this, the fulani agenda would surely be hard hit and made to suffer a huge set back. They will know we are truly different from them. They will know we have made up our minds to carve out a political future for ourselves. They will know we can no longer be enticed with the "Alhaji's" money and cow meat to vote their brothers into power. They will know we have spoken and will recognize the urgent need to come to the negotiating table. They will know we haven't forgotten all the killings of the past 3years.They will know we are no longer interested in negotiating via national assembly corrupt proxies but through the opportunity and instrumentality of the 2019 presidential ballot. This is my thought. Enough is enough. |
