"This election is going to boil down to who wins the southwest,” Rewane said. “It’s true that Atiku’s campaign experience gives the PDP a chance. But then the APC is not going to fold its hands and lie down.”

True talk, but then...with 6APC governors, anyone thinking Buhari will lose SW is on a long thing....meaning, Buhari winning 2019 elections

The truth is Yoruba's are swing voters.

They voted for Jonathan in 2011 despite Tinubu urging them to vote ACN's Ribadu.

In 2015, they voted for Buhari, disappointed by Jonathan's performance and they believed in him because of his integrity, incorruptibility and his discipline.

Unfortunately, his performance has been a disaster and Yoruba's have lost interest in him. His poor management skills, his lamentable understanding of economics and his persistent disregard of sound economic advise were his Achilles heel.

The South West will vote for Atiku. It is still early days.

I find the penultimate paragraph very annoying.....ethnically-Yoruba dominated South-west;
I am not from there, but I had my education there and lived almost all my life there...they have their bad sides and good sides.....
I do not support any zone to be painted with an ethnic colouration.....The SW will vote according to their consciences, forget the razzmatazz on NL....those who will vote the opposition will vote, same as those in the SW and SE who will vote the ruling party will as well vote......
I meet with people daily, and the hunger, insecurity,'gains' and 'starvation' now does not know any tribe....I do not know where the perception arise that certain people won't vote according to their consciences....they will...
On the other part,it will be perhaps the most difficult elections after 2015....the momentum is high..so I will like to appeal to all the media washmen for these 2 candidates, not to waste their time on propaganda,Those on the streets don't care anymore.....all of them there are thieves, the ones who will come in will still steal....

The question(s) will be what can you offer?,what is your blueprint to get us out of where we are?,Moving forward, tell us,if there are antecedents why we should trust you to do this?,When you get there, would you kill us all?,can we go to farm, protest against governments, can we have growth and development,a plan, how can we assist our growing young populace that has a direct significance on (in)security?
This will be the discourse, don't bother us about 'tales by moonlight',we don't care....

We will vote and vote rightly!

Atikulooter will never be President. d idiotic crook almost ruined my family. Three of my Uncles were victims of his greed as Chairman of d Nigerian Privatization council. His business speciality & acumen is in d area of selling off national assets to cronies in dubious privatization scams that reek of infamy. One uncle & his wife lost his job in Nigerian Re-insurance Corp. Another in NICON. Yet another in Delta Steel Aladja. My father in-law was laid off in NITEL. After 12-13 yrs of non-payment of pension which he, Atiku enjoyed but denied victims of his rapacious privatization greed & scam, PMB has finally taken d initiative to giv these Snr Citizens who served d nation in their youth, their dues & treat them wit dignity. Atiku is a looser. He will weep next year.

You see, in your haste to throw blame you didn't bother to get proper education on the history of the companies you are discussing about.... DSC was sold concession by Obasanjo after he had already fellout with.atiku to a company introduced to government by his son...global steel infrastructure is the name of the company .. Go and ask the present kaduna gov

For Nitel, it is on record that the telecom industry of today is far more larger than what it was before it was finally privatized under Jonathan not Obasanjo or yaradua but Jonathan...small children with no history teacher everywhere, so therefore, if your so called uncles is without job it is not because nitel sold but because he is one of the dead wood that was guzzling government subvention to an organization that was supposed to be reporting profit like mtn and airtel

Nicon went to jimoh Ibrahim not any of Atiku associate, obj gave it to him and the weight of the debt he met was such that the firm could not be revived... Every government corporation that was disposed off were nothing but money guzzlers...all depended on monthly subvention to stay afloat.

Not all companies were sold for some were commercialized like the fertilizer nortona that gave your current Apc president billions of dollars as government profit left behind by Jonathan.... The program then was commercialization, privatization and concessioning... Not every firm was sold off

Rather than exonerate Atiku, this poo u wrote just helps in reinforcing d widely known fact that Atiku is guilty as charged.
By ur admission, Atiku as Chairman of d council on privatization between 1999 & 2007, supervised a BPE which according to u operated like a criminal enterprise, in breach of d BPE act & operated not based on national interest but on pecuniary interests of certain individuals. I agree 100% that there was no transparency or accountability in d sale of DSC to Global Infrastructure which didn't even bid but was handpicked by OBJ & his son & given DSC at a paltry $30M as against $1.5 billion which was d valuation of DSC then.
However, as a blind supporter of Atiku, one of d most corrupt politicians in history, u ar quick to blame everyone else, OBJ, El-rufai etc but exonerate Atiku, d highest official in NCP between 1999 to 2007 & d man who signed off on those fraudulent transactions that was against d interests of our fatherland. It's such a shame.

U ar so ignorant. Go & find out about d PENTASCOPE scam. Nitel was a vibrant company doing well. It was d 1st to purchase d GSM license without borrowing a dime. It had more than N100b in its coffers until BPE came up with PENTASCOPE. PENTASCOPE was an unknown entity which had no track record of having installed a single telephone line anywhere in d world. Infact d so-called company was a contraption registered on a public holiday, only 3 months earlier in order to corner d NITEL/MTEL job. When NITEL/MTEL Directors visited d Netherlands, they discovered Pentascope was an unknown company housed in an old, abandoned church house wit a total staff strength of 9 (nine), including d Janitor. This scam of a company was given NITEL to manage by BPE. Pentascope ended up looting d hard-earned 100b Naira income they met in NITEL coffers & went on a bizarre borrowing spree, leaving NITEL in debt of over 105b without adding one single telephone line till it absconded Nigeria.

Listen to how shameless u sound - "Nicon went to jimoh Ibrahim not any of Atiku associate". Yen yen yen, Goddammit! Atiku was d number one man in charge of Privatization. He was chairman of d Privatization council. Jimoh Ibrahim, inherited a very healthy NICON & Nigerian Re-insurance corporation. U do not read. Those corporations were two of d most prosperous govt corporations. As u urself know, Jimoh Ibrahim like all OBJ/Atiku/PDP cronies never cared about those corporations or their workers or indeed Nigeria. Their primary focus in all d privatized national companies was asset stripping. Jimoh Ibrahim was so brazen that after buying Nig-Reinsurance he merely withdrew d documents & then tendered same documents to buy NICON.

It's good that d Notore guys ar making money but that's all d good news. Like all privatized companies, d process was fraught wit irregularities & cries against d underhand dealings that went on. Inspite of this, d BPE hurriedly concluded d sale of a whole Petrochemical Complex that cost d Fed govt $2.4b for a mere $215. If u ar current, u'd know that as late as 2016, groups were pressurizing d NASS to probe d obscene sale.

Atiku's day of reckoning is at hand. Now, all appears well wit him, but d ghost of ex-staff of those companies who lost their lives due to d d scam that Atiku & his PDP called Privatization/concessioning/commercialization will forever haunt him. 2019 is around d corner. It won't be long frm now.

Mention one of those companies that the staff were not pensioners that was sold by Atiku to his cronies. Just one and the name of the person that it was sold to...qt any rate if the company was sold without the staff pensioner you should ask the current national chairman of Apc what he did then to ensure the staff were not cheated

For the bolder, by on May 29, he will be sworn in as the president of Nigeria... Just keep your ear to the ground and watch the dynamics of the polity
Atiku is the most investigated public officers in Africa not just Nigeria

Go and look at the NCP enabling laws to see who actually is responsible for signing of those companies... The BPE and the President... No more no less...NCP is more like national council of state.... It has no executive powers to sell any government asssts.... I just wonder why you had to retell the story of DSC when I already pointed put what went down with DSC.. Is it to let me know you have now acquainted yourself with the details

Between Refai and Obasanjo ask them who is pentascope. Nitel is a national courier owned by th government and the only one then until globacom got the national courier license...how much did Nitel pay for the GSM license?

Atiku, number one in privatization....ha hah... Jimoh and Transcorp belongs to Atiku. Are you now satisfied?

Again I tel, you this... If your uncles are without jobs and as you claimed they wee with Nitel, then it is because they were not qualified abnitio to work there for their colleagues got employed after the sale by the same Nitel and some other pa like mtn. Realisation from those sales were used to offset liabilities hence no one is today picketing those companies.

Nepa was sold by the Jonathan government, uninformed character everywhere... The entire staff strength was transfered to the new owners without liabilities because the proc ed was supposed to settle every liability arising from the staff payroll and the new owners were mandated to keep the entire staff strength for a years or so and afterward removes the deadwood.... Ajaero is the name of the leader of the electricity labour unions and he is still alive and well

Get informed! You are too ignorant...posting shacks picture of imaginary job loss won't do Buhari any good... The figure been quoted today as the job loss in the Nigeria is official from NBS paid by the government and working for the government.. The figure is in the 10,000,000 and above region

with l this lengthy articles of your not in any line did you reinforce your earlier proclamation that Atiku sold public companies to his cronies and the name of the company as well as the person that bought same. Rather you have now tried to find a leeway by attacking Atiku as the head of the NCP

just know the function of the council and it would save you all the negative bale against Atiku. It function is advisory and the president either follows it or rejects same. Not surprised. That is Bmc rolls. Cancel what they can't defend with facts. How any body wit a modicum of brain would even imagine here was a job loss of 1,000,000 in nepa beats the imagination. A company that is still in existence and adding more plants under different names.. Then one in ughelli has received upgrade in both size and capacity. Benin the same and somebody nderoaid by Bmc is developing gif and png alleging there was job loss and the throne in the flesh ajaero of the electrify labour union would keep shut. Somebody who sis not Looe the privatization under Buhari because of labour issues
