I very well know that i'm saying this concerning an apostle of christ who is highly respected by many in today's church, especially because of his teachings which is widely seen as the rulebook governing the church, and to some extent even more than the teachings of Jesus who himself founded the church. So i'm not oblivious to the fact that i am moving against the tide here, speaking of the mistakes of someone who many of the church view as faultless and consequently that his teachings were all inspired by the Holy Spirit, without a single mistake. But perhaps i can take solace in the fact the Lord deemed it needful to put "a thorn in his flesh" at some point etc., to prove that though Paul was truly his apostle, that he wasn't perfect and could also make mistakes, including in his teachings. So thank God for Apostle Paul, that the Lord is not like men who're not able to detect such imperfections and faults in such ones, but would praise them to their own destruction and downfall. So you think that disagreement with Paul or his teachings started with Femi Aribisala, if so that proves that you are not very aquainted with the book you call the scriptures for there were several instances of such given there. Remember Barnabas one of the duo of Barnabas and Paul who the Spirit of God was said to have seperated for his work, and then you also have James the less whose book appear a response to counter such teachings of Paul, and the many others that were included in his own writings. So opposition to Paul in that respect didn't start with F.A. at all. I'm a disciple of Jesus and my discovery of such errors in Paul's teachings began sometime in 2002 when i began to view the teachings of Jesus as the standard for my walk with God, as some of Paul's words fell short of that standard.

Although i'm not so much of a fan of Paul's teachings because of such mistakes which makes me think the church would have been better off without it, as was proven by the first church that seemed not to need it as they did perfectly well without it, there are yet some jewels in his words which meets up to the standard of the teachings of Jesus which i observe. And such words are usually a product of Paul's zeal and passion for God which is the aspect of Paul's teachings which i really love, such as "to live is christ, to die is gain" which perfectly agrees with the teachings of Christ, and my mindset. Therefore Paul is a friend and colleague of mine, hence this is not in any way intended to spite him but for good, as i got message that Paul was concerned about the damaging effect such mistakes of his teachings are having on those of the church who observe it as the word of God, therefore this is meant to help a friend out who made some mistakes while he was here on Earth but is no longer here to correct them.

Most of such mistakes in the writings of Paul can be traced to his background as a pharisee and also the pride that is usually assiociated with the educated or those that Jesus called "the wise and prudent" which usually makes it hard for them to be able to enter into the kingdom of God. Therefore although Paul was an exception to the usual order of the pharisees-who were usually hypocrites and corrupt elements who did all they did for their own selfish reasons as they didn't have the love of God in their hearts-as he truly loved God and that's the reason behind his persecution of the church, as he felt he's doing what God required of him, those traits still appeared to have some bearing in his writings. And i think that Paul could really have done with learning at the master feet as the other disciples, for some of such issues which Paul had, had already been addressed by Jesus in the lives of his disciples whlile he was yet here on earth, such as Paul's desire for power and supremacy.

Right from the old testament God hates divorce . The reason being that it breads lack of love , perseverance and encourages adultery on the part of the man and the woman.
Divorced woman were given opportunity to marry again :

If you feel it is unfair for Paul to say women should be silent in the church , then you will have to rewrite the whole Bible .
I know you will soon discover that Adam and Eve were created at the same time , but the Bible failed to record this due to the unfair treatment of women folks .

Jesus could have change this unfair treatment by selecting at least 2 women to be named among his 12 disciples if it was an unfair treatment .

But Jesus let them know that even though such was there in the law that, it wasn't meant to be that way, for even Moses who gave them that law only gave it to them because of the hardness of their hearts with regards doing what God required of them such as to treat women fairly, but that it wasn't so in the beginning when God first made man, even before his fall, for that was what Jesus came to the Earth to do, to restore things back to the way they used to be in the beginning before the fall of man.

Therefore for Jesus, it didn't matter if the woman was wearing a seductive dress or even naked, once a man looks upon her with lust in his heart he has already committed adultery with her in his heart! So it's no longer about looking for a woman to blame for one's actions, for even though she makes the the fruit very enticing and tells you to eat of it, can't you tell her "NO"!. There are examples of men who've said no in the past, e.g. Joseph, Jacob's son, and even Jesus himself said no, that's why we can even talk of hoping for salvation now, because he said No. And there are several other instances where Jesus in his words and deeds showed that he was not a sexist but fought against sexism himself, hence he would never have condoned such a sexist and repressive order against women in his church had he been there in person. For despite that none of his disciples were women, it's only a woman that could boast of annointing Jesus for his burial, and a woman that he first appeared to after ressurection.

And it was that woman also one of his disciples, who he first appeared to that he sent to speak to his eleven disciples(men), and the others with whom he founded the church, and inform them about his ressurection which was a very strategic task in that respect. So if Jesus would deliberately send a woman disciple to deliver such an unprecendented message to his church in that respect, then how would he tolerate such a saying in his own church that would instruct women to keep silent and not to speak in it, even though it came from a true apostle of his? I would sense a similar reaction to that when his disciples would chase away the little children from him, for he felt very sad and stopped the disciples from doing such a thing to the little children, so i expect that he would have done the same to Paul and such a saying of his.

The reason i'm responding to this post is because it has some valid questions and valid points, and it's not just someone that seeks to argue for the fun of it. Now first and foremost the way you take the Bible is not the same way i take it, for my standard and that i believe ought to be the standard of the church are the teachings of Jesus, every other word, precept, law etc, ought to first comply with it before i consider it observable at my level of the spirit. And i've crosschecked this with the opinion of Jesus and also the church that he founded and seen that both agree with it. For that church wasn't built upon what you call the Bible or even the writings of Paul but upon the words of Jesus, and yet it's widely viewed as the best church ever. agree?

If you agree with that notion that it was the best ever church and the model church for those of later generations, then why try to fix it? Why try to change somethings in it? For this church was standard without such writings of Paul for he was yet named Saul at the time and not converted yet, and he was even a beneficiary of that standard, as i believe it's the quality of those who made up that church like Stephen that played essential roles in his conversion. And yet they didn't have the Bible which you call the word of God that comprises of the law, the Prophets, the epistles, the gospels etc., in one pack but just Jesus words. So it meant that such other words as Paul's were unnecessary and perhaps disruptive as the church's only gone downhill from there since they came in. So don't blame me for that's the church i belong to and we don't need the writings of Paul to be complete.

This is a very valid question you asked here. And to be honest with you i don't have a certain answer to why Jesus had no women in his first twelves as i can only assume that it was strategic, just as it was that a woman annointed him for his burial and also first met with him after his ressurection and not one of his twelve or eleven disciples who were all men. But one thing i'm absolutely sure about is that it wasn't an act of injustice or sexism because of his track record, as Jesus had shown himself beyond any reasonable doubt to be against any form of injustice or oppression, so i have to trust his judgment that it was done in fairness. For although women weren't among his first eleven, he also had prominent disciples that were women such as Martha and Mary who he was said to have been loved by Jesus, with their brother Lazarus.

Now the point about that saying of Paul is not if i feel it's unfair or not, but if it was a mistake or not and inspired of God? Paul recorded that his teachings are a revelation from Jesus Christ and anyone who would preach any other thing should be accursed.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Satan lies are always subtle to oppose everything that pertains to God especially in this troubled times we are living in.
His question to eve appeared harmless but lead her even to a greater error.
Satan knows that by attacking the teachings of Paul and of the apostles he would be attacking the very foundations of Christianity hence he has mandated his servants to do just that.

This writing of his is one of the most glaring mistakes that he made that even the staunchest of his fans would agree that this saying was never inspired by the Spirit Of God, but purely a product of his flesh, as this is arguably one of the most sexist saying that one could ever come across in the whole of the Bible. For it's not that she shouldn't be allowed to lead a church, for that'd be even less severe even though yet erroneous, but this is that she shouldn't even speak in the church. The pharisees were seen to be very sexist figures as they'd bring a woman to Jesus with the allegation that she was caught in the very act of adultery, and it beggars the question, if it's possible for one to be caught alone in the very act of adultery?

1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

And so despite that many of the church claim that all of Paul's writings were inspired of God and without any single mistake, it's almost a mission impossible to try and find any church which keeps this particular saying of Paul concerning women. So if it's truly inspired of God as they claim it to be, and not a mistake that emanated from the flesh, then they should tell us why they have refused to keep it? God has shown overtime that he had absolutely nothing to do with that saying of Paul concerning women, as he has used several women mightily in the past not just to speak in the churches but also to lead churches. And one excellent example of such is a woman called Kathryn Kulman who he used to rare degree to show his mighty works, that it'd be difficult to mention the name of several men in the same breath as hers in recent history with respect to the extent to which God used her to show his works, that she became a huge inspiration to many men in the church, inclusive of church leaders such as Benny Hinn

what Paul taught is 100% from God if any man refuse it is because they have itchy ears running after fables and men's doctrines and philosophy.
