Nigerians, particularly, PDP and Atiku's supporters need to understand the difference between running a business and running a state. Do not let anyone deceive you. Running a state is all about public service, you become a public servant. all you think about is providing social goods and services, most times, regulating such to ensure the citizens are not exploited by vultures called business men in Nigeria, they hardly add value rather steal and act as cronies to politicians. Running a business on the hand is all about making profit, you don't care if the public is being shortchanged out-rightly, like we currently have with all the Discos. Atiku and his cronies are all business minded , all they are concerned about is how to make money from the public, not for the public. |

When I reflect on the powers and functions of the Vice President of Nigeria, and the recent attempts by Atiku Abubakar, to blackmail Obasanjo as the worst president Nigeria has had ever, I am completely stunned, and without words. In a recent newspaper publication, Abubakar maintained that, Obasanjo has failed Nigeria in all aspects of government. He however, failed to point out where he, as the Vice President had succeeded in all aspects of government. He then promised that if elected as the next President, he would 'reform' the reforms of the present administration and make life more bearable for Nigerians. O n the occasion of his declaration for the presidency of Nigeria in the 2007 election, the Turakin Adamawa maintained that his coming into the presidential race was not for personal interests. He said "I t is a contest for and about uplifting the lives of the forgotten millions of our fellow citizens who work very hard but get very little! It is a contest for and about the millions of our people who have no work at all! It is a contest for and about the millions of hard-working middle class families in Nigeria whose standard of living is progressively being eroded! It is a contest for and about the transformation of the socio-economic landscape of Nigeria! It is a contest for and about the enthronement of a more just and equitable society! It is about giving the people of Nigeria a government that they deserve - a government that puts their interests first!" Enough of this! For the records, Abubakar as the vice President of Nigerisa, had within his powers, to do the above and more! His official web-site reveals that, The Vice-President is primarily in charge of all Federal Government dealings with the 36 states of the federation and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. He is the chairman of, the National Economic Council, National Council on Privatization (NCP), National Economic Revitalization Committee and National Planning Commission. He also oversees the boards of all Federal Government Parastatals and Corporations. As the chairman of these, Turaki Adamawa holds the major responsibility of steering the nation's economic machinery, channelling efforts to optimize the opportunities of a potentially great economy. In addition, out of every ten appointed Federal Ministers, seven were sponsored by the Vice President. It was also, within the powers of the VP to appoint people in top positions to some parastatals and boards. Let us face this, between 1999—2003, while Obasanjo globe-trotted and gallivanted, Atiku was the de-facto President. He made himself stupendously rich. At that time, he was not of the 'forgotten millions.' He forgot them too. He was not thinking of the jobless. His children became directors of oil-servicing companies. He did not think of the hard-working middle-level income families. He made his friends and self upper class. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had all along been the Chief Executive of Nigeria, and benefited tremendously, while Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was the ceremonial head. This points to the fact that the reforms the nation is undergoing are purely the handiwork of Atiku. If Nigeria has failed in the past eight years, then the Vice President is responsible for this failure. Atiku should explain to Nigerians why he shattered our dreams of a great Nigeria. He was the custodian of the machinery for national development in the first years of this government, how did he utilise that? How was it channelled? Did he remember then that it was a duty for and about " uplifting the lives of the forgotten millions … who work very hard but get very little!...who have no work at all! … the enthronement of a more just and equitable society! … giving the people of Nigeria a government that they deserve - a government that puts their interests first! " Or did he deliberately remain silent waiting for when he becomes the President? Fellow citizens, if the Vice President has the powers to handle all the Federal Government dealings in the 36 states of the federation, including FCT Abuja, and chairs all the economic projects of the country, and appoints 7 out of 10 ministers, then he was the right man to have handled the cases of "… the forgotten millions". Atiku did not because he could not, together with his bunch of dormant ministers, directors and head of parastatals. When he was supposed to be doing this, he was busy strategising with them how to be recycled president in 2007. He then failed, Atiku failed woefully and today turns around to declare for change. Change from what? From the reforms you headed or change of persons like you, who are found incapable of handling national assignments? If at all Nigeria desires the so called change you preach, Mr Vice President, you should be the first to be changed! As chairman for the transformation of the socio-economic landscape of Nigeria , what did you do? How well did you link the 36 states of the federation in terms of good roads, electricity, security of life and property, job creation etc? You championed the reforms of the nation, yet you cry for a change of them. How long shall you continue to lead us in a forward-backward match? We are tired of failed people! We want change, but certainly not your own kind of change. http://www.gamji.com/article6000/NEWS6850.htm |

This is what aspiring presidents do...be sure that if Atiku wins, he will have a cabinet set up in a week. He will hit the ground running. Buhari spent months selecting a cabinet and still managed to take us into a recession |

18 MILLION JOBS lost is no joke. I almost wept today after my friend told stories of how people are suffering in Agegunle. I mean the high rate of extreme poverty baffles me, on how a Government can be so insensitive to yearning and aspiration of poor mass. I heard people are so poor, to the extent of pilfering or stealing through the windows of their neighbor; 3pm daylight robbery etc. I do not support crime, but I believe 75% of crime rate will drop if our economy is vibrant, where the unemployed will easily find what to get the basic needs (Food, Clothes and house) of life. I believe the current economic structure is Nigeria is operating is not working at all. Its like Nigeria is going down a abyss. The LOCAL GOVERNMENT is extinct in Nigeria. We hold the STATE & FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. While the STATE GOVT, points to FEDERAL govt. |

UNDER ATIKU AS NCP CHAIRMAN WHILE OBJ WAS BUSY WITH HIS 'AJALA THE TRAVELER' DUTIES 1. The prized Aluminum Smelter Company, ALSCON Ikot-Abasi built as USD3.2billion was sold for USD250 million of the USD250, USD120 was to be retained by the beneficiary of perfidy to be used to dredge the Imo River but twelve years down the road, the dredging has not been carried out and money still kept by the Russians. 2. Delta Steel Company was sold to one who did not win the bid. 3.Ajaokuta was concessioned to looters who have been stripping the place. In fact, late President Umaru Yar’adua was so scandalized by the scale of the fraud in the privatization exercise that he had to revoke the sale of Kaduna and Port Harcourt Refineries, which were sold at throw-away prices to Atiku's cronies in the private sector. ETC ETC |

loganx:We saw what he did when in ran a state as the VP of Nigeria, we saw how he destroyed FG institution and business, we we saw how he rendered thousands of Nigerian unemployed, we saw how he sold of multi billion dollar businesses to his crooked and corrupt PDP cronies for pennies on the dollar. We saw how OBJ and Jona sold of FG power businesses to their crooked and corrupt cronies with zero experience or financial capacity to run power business and infrastructures hence their inability to deliver, to manage and invest to grow the power sector. PDP by culture and mentality is all about looting, stealing and total destruction. |

nigerians must not repeat the same mistake they did with buhari again we need to move away from a voting population that votes on just hearing promises and move to the level of asking how these politicians plan to actualize all these promises , we shouldn't forget that this was the same way buhari and his party promised to make 1 naira equal to 1 dollars and ppl didnt ask how Nigerians need to ask atiku and his team how they intend to create job and security for Nigerians before voting for them |
“Reno, we must create jobs. Joblessness is a disease and the symptoms are crime and terrorism. The best way to fight the outcomes is by curing the disease. If we do not create jobs, then we have failed at doing our jobs.”-HE @Atiku. According to the Nigerian bureau of statistics over 10 million Nigerians lost their jobs under Buhari even though the current president promised to create 3 million jobs every year during his campaign for election. Reno has been the most vocal critic of president Buhari in Nigeria often digging up and providing rare evidence and facts to back up his claims https://twitter.com/renoomokri/status/1057202948198031362?s=21
