First three month was to process me for recommendation.....the next two month was to screen me for the membership position.....
I was constantly sent a mail to show my progress.

So it took me five months to get my certificate.

And the certificate was sent to me from Abuja.... Online tho

My biggest problem when shortlisted will be medicals, you can never know what will be used to send one packing. so my question is: WHAT WILL THE MILITARY CHECK FOR DURING THE MEDICAL TEST?

Don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself. I am sure knowing the answer won't stop you from going when shortlisted.

I was at the NASB for SSC in 2016 but didn't scale through and man clocked 30 this year, I opt for DSSC otherwise it would have been SSC.

Please can u share ur experience with us. What happened in 2016 that resulted u been evicted?

1.Very important,start looking for it if you don't have,they have a way of using it to know your real age

2.its not compulsory but immediately you pass medical and succeed with 3.2KM race then you must remove everything to be able to face final selection board,failure to-do so might earn you eviction,you cannot face the board president with a hair on your head,this is because at that point you are 99% successful unless you don't know your course of study very well and it will be seen as assumption if you don't scrap your hairs after being advised to do so.
3.If you are SSC,they will chose for you though you will still be given forms to select but they have the final say Then DSSC select their Corp from application portal though its still subject to change except medical,legal and education guy

4.They will pick the best 6,7or 8 as the case may be but if there are short falls in a state within the geopol zone then they might use the remaining ones to augment the Short fall

If it's just a small part I guess they'll over look that. But to be on the safest side just go and do RCT and crowning. You'll spend about 50k in a government hospital.

Height, weight, BMI
Visual acuity
Your teeth
Blood pressure
+or - ECG
Chest Xray
Blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B, PCV
Urinalysis, Urine toxicology ( screening for drug metabolites)
Anal examination to rule out rectal prolapse
Overt bow leg or K leg or wind swept deformity
Shortened limbs or amputated fingers (I don't know if toes are involved)
Flat foot (this is done bcs people with this condition usually can't wear boots for long, and trust me say you no fit dey wear Dunlop slippers for war front )
Scars or tattoos
Surgical conditions like Surface swellings (eg protruded navel, big lipomas, goitre etc) Hernia, hydrocoele etc
You can help yourself by making changes now to those defective aspects of your health

From my experience during FRSC screening, they asked us to walk through watery floor then match a clean tiled floor for them to see the shape of ur feet.

I tried it and it worked partially....

If I walk normal the full arc shows....but if I walk sluggishly,the arc shows but not full.

I think there should be a way the army checks

Yes....you provided what you have.....but what you have was it the required document.
The format would definitely have a name, picture and serial number on it.....you didn't think about that and you still went ahead to use it after been warned by the senior men in this forum...chai

It must not be July,some pass out December,may etc,just count 6 month's from date of training,while ssc count 9,10 or even 11 months from training,they must not pass out with regular but i think since 2015 it has been the norm to avoid the president going to NDA two times in a year.

POP for dssc doesn't need President attendance ,most times the Chief of army staff or minister will go but SSC and RC requires that they fill pass the president or vice president during pop,

See guys, the world won't end this year, same as the Nigerian Army recruitment won't end this year. My advice is make sure you have all the requirements, don't give them a reason to send you back home. thousands of Nigeria youths will the applying, a lot of them are even over qualified and some of us are here thinking on how to cut corners. Would you rather scale through every hurdle just to be shown the door at the end because you gave a false information? Except your father is COAS,CODS or COAF getting into the Nigerian Army with false information is rare, I know it does happen but those few have super connection. IF your godfather is not a top top politician or a top general biko try get over prepared if possible. a whole lot of people came back home because instead of preparing they were all about cutting corners, giving false information and relying on one captain wey never know road around barracks. My brothers try and get shortlisted, get all required documents ready and most importantly be healthy na the main koko be that.
