Yommy247:If you don't see close dates, use emergency appointment |

Yommy247:As at 2 days ago, there were multiple dates open in December. As @Ubah1 mentioned, if you don't see December dates, apply for emergency appointment. |

Wretch32:I don't entirely agree. Father's company could serve as a good home tie since their line of business is in tandem with his intended course of study. A very good response to "What will this degree do for you/Why this Course/Why this MSC" would now yield an answer that suggest his intentions to transform and upgrade the company upon his return. It is not enough mentioning 'transformation'. He may need to go to specifics by listing some of those functionalities he would desire to change. He could then go on to highlight a little more on his career goals (without waiting to be prodded). Thing is, people fail to exploit opportunities to their advantage. |

Predstan:Learn to string your responses together. This is not to suggest that you should go there to regurgitate very long grammar. Your points are okay. Learn to kill a bird with two stones and to master this, you need to study some Approved Transcripts to understand their build up responses. A LITTLE INTERVIEW TIPS FOR HOPEFULS Interview is not all about grandiloquent grammars. A student with average grammar who presents very compelling points would be approved. Interview is not a GST exam. Again, it is normal to stutter, it's an indication that you're human after all and not robot. Therefore, do not be afraid to stutter for a moment, but be consistent, determined and maintain proper eye contact. Lastly, practise your answers before going there. Familiarise with your responses so that you don't have to think on your feet when faced with the VO. I am only saying this last part because a vast majority of applicants do not understand why this class of visa exist. Interview is supposed to be conversational. A genuine student does not need to think too hard to give responses as it is supposed to be a genuine conversation. Until these recent times, this class of visa posed less hassle to acquire. How the narration has changed still baffles me. The system has been so abused. Applicants now fly without perching and now VOs are learning to shoot without missing. |

100kobo:This is the point I was actually driving the conversation to. That I want to come back to Nigeria to take over and improve my Dads company by introducing solar energy system which is not going to be an alternative power supply but as the main source of power just like Nextera Energy company in the US. They generate about 930 MW of power through Solar Energy |

Good morning House. I'm a newbie on this thread. I'm trying to apply for fall 2019 and the deadlines for the schools I'm applying for are all in Febuary. Is it possibe for me to start reading for Gmat and Toefl in November and get high scores and still be able to submit before febuary. Note that I'm hoping to get assistantship. Also, can anyone recommend a good tutor that has helped other Nairalanders in the past study and make good grades> This is really urgent guys, please help. |

Predstan:Bro, you're loaded. Just do as I said. Prepare a laconic response that capture as many points as possible. If you're waiting for a time to attack, it may never come. So utilise any chance you get effectively. Note: Observe my use of the word 'laconic'. I have not asked you to go verbose. You may need to present your proposed transcript for vetting. |

| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by 100kobo(m): 11:12am On Nov 02, 2018 |
flowbee:Why California? Why not any other state? Why not Canada/Australia? Why not Nigeria. You need to demonstrate first, your intentions to study abroad. If you're unable, then you're not a genuine student. |

flowbee:I suppose you are going for UG studies. You certainly cannot get admission with that grade. You need at least a Credit in five Subjects (Including English & Mathematics) to get enrolled, And some schools would have waived Toefl assuming you had a nice grade in English. So, Sit for WASC again, ace your SAT;Then shoot for Top Schools. Thank me Later |

Hello everyone, i want to apply for fall 2019 at Binghamton university to study poltical science. I have An A in waec and 7bs with 1credit. Do i have to write Tofel ? or only SAT. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Nobody: 1:11pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
Fatty16:I think writing TOEFL depends on the school. In my checking around, i've seen schools that waive TOEFL for Nigerians. |

Oskydaniellyyy:With that profile? Go to a top ranked school. Search for top schools for engineering. U of Notre Dame, Northwestern university, university of Florida. @masterforcell your best bet is to apply for PhD. But for safe schools: University of Louisiana at Lafayette Northeastern university Texas tech University of Connecticut |

MasterforceII:Dont sell yourself short If you studied this well to get a great profile then leverage on it and dont settle. Your future will thank you later. Its beyond just "school" the solid/quality relationships that you will build would be second to none. Try top schools you will be surprised i bet you. You are from Africa, You will be taken with that profile. Texas A&M university, University of Chicago etc. Safe: Northeastern Uni Join MSinUS on facebook you will gain alot of information there. |

Predstan:First thing first is to ease your nervousness. Remember, the VO is as nervous as you although, s/he is trained to hide his/hers. Take it as an opportunity to educate someone on what you want to do and why you are well prepared for it. Do you know the elevator pitch? Address each question as an elevator pitch cos the VO at that moment has your attention full time and just try to pass your point across without appearing as being bossy or loud and the easiest way to do same is to calm yourself down knowing both of you are nervous. You about getting the Visa and him about not making mistakes in his choice of whom he grants a visa. |
