Rochas rigged his son in law to win the primary. That is where all the problem started. It's okay to have a preference and sponsor your choice but you cannot rig the primaries. The delegates have to vote and their votes must matter!!

Okorocha's son inlaw clearly won the primaries by very wide margin but the plan to dismiss any primaries was already hatched in order to prevent him from having his way. I don't think being son inlaw is enough to disqualify a winner.

It has nothing to do with trying to stamp out Godfatherism else Tinubu would not have imposed his candidate even when Ambode could still come back for a second tenure.
APC realize how Rochas failed and know that the people will vehemently vote against his candidate hence APC not ready to lose even before going to the polls are trying to oust Uche Nwosu. So it is just party interest and nothing to do with Godfatherism.

Tinubu did not impose Sanwo-olu. He gave the people freewill to do so and they openly came out to vote against Ambode. The primary was free and fair. Besides, people are already tired of Ambode, I mean, have you seen Lagos streets?
