Agent kept asking for more money for A, B, C and D and more....finally when I realised how off key I had gone....I decided to do it myself....the scam was that he said i couldn't apply for EE, I won't get it and my hubby should be the PA.....but because of his age he said he would help hubby get a job offer from Canada then we can apply....so.all the money we paid was for the process for him to help hubby get a job offer from canada.......I was busy then with exams...so after passing my exams...I had more time to do it myself..and it's been going well so far by his grace...I am the PA now.

That's why we always advocate for people to read page 1 themselves, dem say dem say is what causes misinformation. We're spending a lot of money on this process please and please read and research yourself!

Please leave them to be mislead o, if one refuses to seek knowledge they should manage what they are told like that and run with it

Kindly read through for those having worries on how to go about getting their WAEC results Verification as required by WES.

1. Get 2 Passport Photograph

2. Photocopy of your WAEC Result and 2 White Envelope

3. Go to the Lady Under a Bit opposite WAEC office in Yaba

4. Tell her you want an affidavit for WES Confirmation of Results ( I paid 3000)

5.You won't be allowed into WAEC office until it's 9am, once it's 9am move immediately to the Lady at the reception to pick up your tag and sign in

6. Proceed to 5th floor last room on your right (SED Results Room). Remember to knock before entering. Tell the man what you want to do.

7. He will Check your documents and staple them together with the envelope and a form. Fill the form and write your address WES Address and Reference number on one of the Envelopes.

8. You will be asked to proceed to 4th floor Room 1 to make payments of 10,000naira. Take the receipt back to room 8 on the 5th floor for confirmation.

9. The original receipt will be given to you to proceed with the customer service center down stairs and hand over to the Courier service for Courier Payment.

10. You will be required to pay 10,000naira if you are using FedEx to Canada.


For NECO

Meanwhile to members of the house. So I decided to make enquiry about the NECO verification myself and the following info might be useful for those outside Minna the Niger state capital where their hq is.
1. You pay 1000 into NECO TSA account.
2. You pay another 50naira separately, I repeat SEPARATELY into NECO TSA account for stamp duties. After which a form will be given to you to fill, with photocopy of the certificate.
3. You pay for courier from your state office to MINNA where verification is done. ) though shesaid you can use EMS, but has issues with tracking, however she advice using dhl or UPS). This courier fees depend on your location.
4. You pay for the fees for countering it from NECO head office Minna To WES IN CANADA, which she said she thinks cost 15000. Reporting from Benin to the house.

Please I have a quick question as regards this issue...I forwarded my WAEC last week using UPS from WAEC office yaba... can I use the scratch card method for the verification as i don't know how long it takes for WAEC to respond to verification request from WES after initially sending the result.

Yes. Mine is on a letter head with the number and email of the CMAC who signed the letter

exactly, CMACs name and email is also on mine....but I tot gov hospitals usually have stamps? Better still....if u know of anyone who has gotten LOR from the hospital ask if it was stamped. Mine was stamped.

I completely agree with you. My interpretation of this sentence also was that his UK PCC should still be valid as he did not stay 6 months in a row this time i.e. he wasn't resident anymore but just visiting.

My case:
I stayed in the UK from September to October. Went to Nigeria to spend one week and got Nigeria Pcc within that time (October). I got back to UK and got my UK pcc in November. I stayed in the UK till January and went back to Naija. I left Nigeria for Australia in February.

From the information in the link provided by glowberry, I can see that even my Nigeria police certificate is still valid for this application despite having expired.

I guess stamping documents isn't their strongest suit. My offer of employment isn't stamped either. All those medical reports we used to prepare for patients in those days only carried signatures. No stamp

I had a similar if not same issue.

What i did was to simply mail and call WES in that order so that while speaking we have something to reference.

I found out that WES only sent hard-copy of the verification documents, immediately i requested that they send soft copies

as hard-copy cannot be guaranteed to get to my school as i was running out of time.

Next day, i got a mail informing me that soft copy has been sent to my school as requested. Sharply my contact checked school and voila, the rest is history.

Please how much did the school charge for transcript? Trying to process both OND and HND.
Also was there additional charge for verification?

This is annoying and makes no sense to me. hopefully they dont do that. However, I reside in ph and did my biometrics in Abuja.

A couple of weeks back, I and my spouse wanted to submit an app and do biometrics. We went to Abuja VFS and to our surprise, we were turned back and told to go submit in Lagos. They further said...any applicant from South South, South East etc MUST submit in Lagos.

I insisted on seeing the Manager, expressed my displeasure and asked why this development wasn't on their website to guide people accordingly. He just apologised and told us, it's directive from the embassy.

I dont know if its just me but the members-of-staff at VFS are extremely rude...even to the gateman.

Also....who knows, they might want to introduce same measure for Canada biometrics....

Peeps coming from outside Lagos or Abuja to submit should call them to ascertain they wont be turned back.

It doesn't have to match. What's important is the experience u have then u nominate an occupation base on your duties.
