A Nigerian man, Chidi Okoye, has taken to social media to reveal the shocking thing he saw this morning in Anambra state. The man saw a group of women washing bitterleaf (used in preparing the popular Onugbu soup in Igboland) with muddy water from a dirty stream in Awka, the state capital, which they plan to sell in the market. He shared a picture of the women in action as he urged Nigerians to be careful and always rewash them (bitterleaf) after purchase. Chidi Okoye wrote; "This morning on my way having my routine walk, I saw these women in Awka processing Onugbu (bitterleaf) one of our favourite soups with this mud water and from there to the various markets". "Please rewash your bitterleaf if you are buying the already processed ones". And some Ipob yoots were insulting Abokis when the picture of that mallam washing his sugar cane with drainage water surfaced. Now look at what their mothers are doing. Conclusion is that most Nigerians are Dirty and it is not limited to one tribe. 384 Likes 35 Shares |

I'm sure some knuckleheads will come here to make it a tribal issue. This issue of poor hygiene stems from a failure of government at the state and local levels. From the meat and poultry businesses, farm produce, even cooked food, there is nowhere in Nigeria where sanitary standards are adhered to. No health inspectors, no public water supply, no public storage and processing facilities. Nigerians just exist by the ingenious work of God on our immune systems. 69 Likes 6 Shares |

The man is a fool. Are we not supposed to rewash vegetables with clean water and salt before consuming them? Attention seeker. 73 Likes 4 Shares |

If it's a stream den it's no qualms considering it's flowing.. What will he now say wen he pays a visit to abbattoirs?? ChrisMafian: U shld channel dis ur hatred into more positive things like finding ur inner sense and making use of it.. How can U compare drainage water with a stream for heaven's sake?? In as much as a stream is unhygenic U do realise virtually every rural area still makes use of dem due to not having access to portable hygienic water source.. Mayb U shld look up d difference between a stream and a drainage 54 Likes 2 Shares |

ChrisMafian:Look at how low you are. They started it. So you should also join in the train of foolishness. People like you are part of the problem of this country. You support and hail ur oppressors while they use our commonwealth to take care of their children. From the Mallam to this women, both are victims of failed governance but you prefer to look at everything from the prism of politics of the most brute kind. Only God can help you!! 34 Likes 1 Share |

Another reason Igbo want to die in Lagos. The day our mother in Yoruba land started using dirty water like this to wash vegetables meant for general consumption, that state government or local government will be gone. Why you can't provide nonstop water, at least provide little for the essentials. Invest in your people and region , Igbo no go hear word. The eastern states governors treat them worst than even the ones not from the east. 52 Likes 7 Shares
