SO YOU SAYING YOU ARE A PRINCE....... "Taka said with muffled lips... Skepticism in his voice....

They sat beside each other in a corner of a road, shading themselves from the almost going sun under a tree.. Cloud almost becoming shady... Bringing out the colour of the evening........

Francis swallowed hard at Taka's statement..... "Why does everyone find that so hard to believe....."

"Because it's difficult to believe... Your entire story except the dead part is difficult to believe....."Taka boom out.. His words resounding in his head...

"How can you believe me when i said those chiefs murdered my parents when you don't believe am a prince.... "

Taka jut his chin.... "Okay.. I believed that part... You are a prince.. Thank God our lives is going to change......

Francis snort at his statement...... Wondering if that will even still be possible.... His life as a prince.... Will he ever be a prince again... Even after the dead of those murderers.....

"But your story about the other side of the world........ Is totally unbelievable..... "

He rolled his eyes at Taka..... "Believe it or not i was there... I stayed there for five years.... "

"You are crazy or you must be dreaming... No one survives in the ogini river..... Not even a boat neither a plane passes through without been drag down by ogini or whatever is there..... "

Francis grunts... Then he quickly recalled Pandora's words... The reason he survived in that river.... Her grandfather's story... How he went mad when he ignored ogini's voice.... He sigh and quickly bounce back to reality.. Those things are nonsense.. Nothing of such will happen to him.... But a part of him was scared.. Scared it will happen... That ogini will beckon on him oneday and he will ignore the voice like Pandora's grandfather and he will go mad...he insufflate..... Praying it never happens to him.. He wasn't in Mogula anymore... Where he is, ogini will never find him...........

"I was there Taka....i didn't know how i survived in the water but i was there.... They named me KA-RU,then the slaves hunters who caught me sold me to the king of Mogula........"He stopped talking when he noticed the bleaked silly expression on Taka's face...... He exhales..... "You think am saying rubbish...... "

"Yes..... "Taka muttered softly...

"Fine.. Believe what you want... But that was the place i was five whole years..... "Francis boom out irritated

Taka gritted,then he pull his face as he look askance at Francis...... "Okayyy..... "he muttered with knit brows.... "Let's say i believe the unbelievable..... What were you doing there five long years...?

Francis curl his lips... Then his head began to dig into the past... His first arrival in that world... How he met Levi.... How he was taken to Mogula and sold to king Dafuda as a slave.......... "I was a slave..... "

"A slave..... !

"Yes.. A slave.... But not for long, i saved his youngest prince from a collapsing building...... "

Taka chulkled..... "So they have prince there also....?

Francis suck his teeth and quickly turn his gaze elsewhere.....Taka thinks he's been funny.. No one will believe it until they go there themselves......

"So what happened after that, let me guess, you became a prince yourself.....?

Francis squeaked then he turn to face him again.... "Yes i became a prince but it didn't change anything because i was already a prince........"

Taka wink at him.... "So you are a prince in both worlds....? He ask with purse lips... Then he burst into laughter...

Francis swallowed hard... Taka's annoying laugh sounding in his ears.....he bit his lip almost hard then he wince at the pain... "You were right.... Let's go to the palace...... "

Taka stopped laughing... Catching his own breathe...... "I thought you didn't want to go there...... "

"I have a rethought....everything started in the palace... My Father was murdered there.... Everything is going to end there.... "He scowled with fierce energy....

"So KA..... Whatever you said you were called there... Do you have a plan....?

Francis gritted... His fingers propelled against each other...... "Not yet but i will when we get to the palace..... "

"Are you sure about this......? Taka ask this time more gentle in his voice........ "I don't want you crying over my shoulder when you see where you father was killed.... "

Francis gave him a hard look... Then he stare away........ "Am tired of crying..... Tired of remembering his death over and over without doing anything..... Am sick of it all.... I have made my decision, we are going to the palace..... "

"To stay... Work or kill the current king.....? Taka queried shapily

"We're doing all...... "Francis said.... "But first we have to lay our heads somewhere and there is no other place other than the palace......... "

"If you say you are....... "He blinked his eyes abruptly..... "Were the prince... Won't anyone recognize you....?

"It's been five years.... Moreover they think am dead..... So that will be our advantage... "

"Oh wow... I love ghostly things.... "

"Am not going there as a ghost......!, Francis interjects..... "Am going there to reclaimed what they took from us.... "

"Ya... Including the throne..... But promise me you will give me a good position when you become king.... A position like your treasurer... Taka the palace treasurer..... "

"What....!, Francis wink......."You've almost spent all the money you begged.... You will be a bad treasurer..... "

"Bad treasurers are the best..... "

Inspector Kess quickly started the car engine... And drove out off chief Azuka's compound.... He huff remembering his conversation with chief Azuka... He was so good in denying killing the king, he claimed he was at the festival.. When he got tired he went home.......

"I don't think the DPO did the right thing, this case should have stayed dead.... There was no point digging into the past hoping to find golds when all have been stolen and sink deep into the unknown....... "Philip said as he put on his seat belt.....

"What are you saying.... ,the DPO did the right thing..... "

"The right thing...... "Philip boom out.... "We're at a dead end here..."

"Yes we are but at least we know the culprits... The chiefs killed him... We just have to dig enough to find evidence..... "

"That's the thing.... There is no evidence... There was non five years ago and there is non now.. The chiefs did a clean job..... "

"What about the person who sent that letter to the DPO, whoever the person is i believe he/she will know something"

"Well the DPO haven't told us anything about the person..... This is a blind investigation....... "

Kess exhales.... "There has to be something that proofs the chiefs did this... There has to been an evidence somewhere......... "

Desmond pace around in the throne room.... The inspectors interrogation repeating in his head over and over...... He groan wondering why the DPO will reopen a case that was already forgotten..... Moments earlier he had called his father and he had said he was on his way to the palace....

With his mind unsettled he sat back on the throne.. The crown on his head......rage sweeping through him, he fold his fist........

It was few minutes later when Carlos, Ted and his driver arrived at the palace.....
Carlos didn't bother to wait for Ted to open the car door...he opened it himself and jump out of the car.....
Ted and the driver stood why he make his way to the throne room.....

Desmond smile when he saw his father approaching him.. he quickly jump down from the throne...... He sent all the guards around away letting them have their own privacy....

Without hesitation the guards did as the king has instructed, they went far away from earshot....

With exasperation etched on Carlos face he drew closer to his son....

"What's going on Father.....? Desmond quickly ask as soon as his father was close by....

Carlos groaned... He look around... He grunts when he realise only the two of them were there..... Then he turn his gaze to his son...... "A girl is responsible for this.... "

"A girl.....!, Desmond exclaimed shocked....

"Yes a girl... A girl is saying those rubbish to the press and the police..... I tracked the number she called with and the call came from here........ "Rage sparkling through him.. He fix his eyes on Desmond.... "Do you mind explaining to me what is going on here..... ?

"I have no idea of what you are saying Father... It can't be from here, no one in this house knows what happened that night..... "

"Are you saying the person just came here to make the call.....?Carlos raved..... "The girl called from here, perhaps she's a maid in this house..... "

"Am telling you father, no one will dare do that in this house..... "

Not minding his words, Carlos called the number again... With anger licking through him.. He waited for her to pick the call.....

He scoffs when no one answered....... Then a low taunting laugh followed... Then he stopped... The once serious angry face etched back on.............."She's here..... "

"Grandpa......... "Liza voice in a high pitch sounded from behind them....

Carlos quickly spun round to face her.....he quickly smile when he saw her..... "My little angel..... "

Liza with a wrapped gift on her hands.. Ran into his embrace........

"I miss you grandpa.... "She muttered.....

Carlos free himself from the embrace... Then he saw the gift in her hand...... "Is this for grandpa....? He ask with a wry smile

Liza quickly nodded giving it to him.......

"What's inside here.....? Carlos ask.....

"I don't know.... "Liza said with shrugged shoulders.......... "Someone gave it to me yesterday in school..... "

"Who gave it to you, your school teacher.....? Desmond ask...

"No daddy,a stranger....,a lady.. I haven't seen her before,she said anyday grandpa comes visiting i should give it to him..... "

"Why didn't you tell me a strange lady gave you a gift for your grandpa..... ?Desmond ask...

"She said i shouldn't tell anyone.... She said it was a surprise grandpa will like and i didn't want to ruin that surprise by telling you and mum...... "

"But Liza......

"It's okay son...... "Carlos said.. Then he crunched down again to her level....... "Did this strange lady told you her name....?

Liza shook her head..... "She didn't grandpa.... "

Carlos smile....... "Let's open the surprise then...... "

Slowly he unwrapped it.... Surprise seize him when he saw a small phone carton...... He quickly open the carton......

"It's a phone....... "Liza boom out..... "Grandpa the lady got you a phone..... "

Carlos glance at Desmond then at the phone...the phone was new but it was switched on..... Carlos quickly pick it out.... He stare at it....

"Why would someone get you a phone.....? Desmond ask curiously... His eyes fixated on the phone....

Carlos keep staring at the phone in his hand.. Then an idea cross his mind... Without hesitation.. He dial the girl's number again......

A jarring prostration ran through him when the phone started vibrating in his hand........

Mouth slack-jawed.. Desmond watch in shock as the phone ring......

Rage swept through Carlos... It took refuge in him.. Taking control.... Then he shift his gaze back at Liza....... "My little princess.... Can you recognize the lady who gave you this gift......?

Liza bug her eyes...... "Yessss"

Heart pounding.... Memories began to flood back into Francis head as they walk nearer to the palace gate... Closely.... ,He shut his eyes then he opened them back....... Then he stopped walking......

"What.....? Taka ask.....

Francis swallowed hard..... "Nothing.. Lets go....."

They trotted forward.... Almost at the gate... Closing the distance between the gate and themselves and then finally they got there.......

Taka widened his eyes as he look at the big palace.. Even more bigger than the palace in his community......... "We are definitely going to get a job here..... "

Heart beating fast... Legs trembling... Fingers clenched.... His inner voice screaming at him to go back..... Francis step forward..... The memories of him running from the gate... Running to survive filled his head.... He took a deep drag.... As he took another step.... His eyes scanning everywhere... He was back.... His father's palace... Their palace.....His home.........

"Stop there..... "A guard shouted....

Francis shuddered... A gleen of sweat sheen from his brow.........

The guard walk towards them.... He stood when he saw him... Then he blinked.... He couldn't believe it.....was he seeing a ghost... He bounce back into reality.. It was real.. He was real... It's his face... The prince...... He shook his head doubting the possibility of it..... With shaking mouth.. He muttered.... "My prince..... "

Shock swept through Francis... He shivered.. He was recognized.. Even after five years.... He look ahead and he saw him... His greatest enemy... One of them.. The worst of them..... CARLOS... making his way to his car.....

With pounding heart, his gaze followed him until he entered his car... The car started and began to make its way to the gate..... He look at the guard in front of him.. Then to the car coming towards him.... If the guard can recognize him.... The evil man can.......

The memories overwhelmed him.. Rage ran through him as he watch the car head towards his direction........he stood not shaking.. Waiting patiently for them to meet.. Their eyes to glare at each other..... It was a total collision..... Like a bullet to the head....
