To those who do not know what they are about to go into, If you are joining the army because of lack of jobs, think twice. It is a profession in which you might pay the ultimate price at any point in time.

This is Capt. Zakari Sani.

He got ambushed alongside his soldiers few months back in Benue by terrorists,he is the only surviving soldier, the first hospital he was taken to carried out wrong surgeries on him, they couldn’t even identify the problem...
Thread:
For months he is not responding to treatment,he was later referred back to Ceda crest hospital in Abuja by the Army, where he is currently bed ridden, still not responding to treatment thou it’s a better hospital, his relatives where advised to take him out of the country. All efforts to fly him out were in vain because Nigerian army refused,A family friend who is a Federal Member representing Sabon Gari Constituency, Zaria decided to speak to the Chairman, House committee on Defense, there is still no positive result, this guy is dying.
Please Nigeria Army you might have protocols of treating your soldiers abroad, but Zakari is not responding to treatment here, don’t allow this innocent soul to die,he got a bomb attack in Maiduguri 2014,it took you guys one year before taking him to India, don’t repeat same mistake

one will prefer death a hundred times than to live and experience what this captain is going through.

Well, in naija anything u do, do it wit sense... If u are joining, join wit sense. Not all dat want to join will pay d ultimate price...as my ibo friends will tell me, even d ultimate price get price so why not negotiate d price from ultimate to average price...anyway we all get to die one day so why not choose how u die on ur own terms wen joining naija army. And true lebete do made a point about army madness... But again, such is life. Either u re ready for d ugly, d bad or d good...

PRESS RELEASE

THE TRUTH ABOUT CAPTAIN ZAKARI SANI'S MEDICAL TREATMENT

1. There is an information making round about Captain Zakari Sani which i wish to put in proper perspective. Captain Zakari Sani, a very courageous and hardworking officer, was ambushed alongside other soldiers in Benue State while on operation WHIRL STROKE. The officer was badly wounded and was evacuated to Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi where he was initially stabilised and later evacuated to Ceda Crest Hospital in Abuja for higher management outside of the operations theatre.

2. Ceda Crest Hospital is one of the best hospitals in the country as at today. The team of doctors and other medical staff including expatriate are attending to the officer whose situation though serious is getting better by the day. He has undergone several medical procedures which have helped to stabilised him further. The Chief of Defence Staff has placed Medical Surveillance on the officer for eventual medical evacuation outside the country.

3. It should be noted that foreign medical evacuation is a process that is done with the advice of the medical doctor that is administering the stabilization treatment. Otherwise the intended objective may not be achieved when the patient is evacuated abroad. The Nigerian Military takes care of the medical needs of her personnel, including her retired colleagues. As necessary, various cases are sent on Medevac, especially those personnel wounded in active service.

4. Information given about Captain Zakari may be intended to ensure he gets the best of medical attention, but the narrative is not true. If Captain Zakari had been hurriedly taken out of the country without the stabilization treatment, according to the medical advice, the outcome may not be certain.

5. The general public is hereby informed that Captain Zakari Sani’s treatment is consciously administered for his best interest. He is to undergo some medical procedures after which, he will be stable for any other treatment abroad as necessary. Nigerian military takes the heath of its personnel seriously and would do anything to sustain the health and vitality of all, in order to be fit to defend the territorial integrity of our great nation.

6. Please kindly disseminate.

I humbly tender the apologies of those applicants who castigated you in one way or the other. Sincerely speaking as a medical doctor willing to serve his fatherland you deserved humane treatment and not maltreatment and mismanagement of your health all in the name of training.

It's funny how nobody bordered to ask how on earth 7 cadets were injured by a motorcycle?

Come to think of it if you survived for 4 months, wetin deh the two months weh remain.

The above scenario of Captain Z. Sani has further buttressed your point "Army job na mad man job"

Please let's learn from people's past so that we can take decisive decisions if lucky to be enlisted.

It wouldn't cost you anything if you decide not judge someone after reading his experience, it's simply maturity.
Thanks

Lol. I can't but laugh. I simply said it one should learn from his experience it was pure maltreatment and not training.

If a whole captain could go through such ordeal what will be the fate of regular recruit passing through something like this.

I wish the Captain quick recovery . I imploy all to do things with sense.

Majority of the ppl here dying to enter d NA, 95% of them have no jobs or under employed.

The Armed Forces esp Army is usually d last hope of the common man that's why most of the peeps there aren't sophisticated and that's d reason they can accept one with 2.2.

I'm a doctor by profession, I was having issues at my work place due to tribalism and felt I should switch to a FG setup instead of state setting that I was. Unfortunately since 2016, Military has always been the only ones advertising- it seems like a setup to tactically conscript every youth into the force.

I'm not here to discourage anyone but the truth is that majority here joining simply have no choice and the military is d easiest way out of unemployment in this country.

Will talk about my experience later.

Wont argue with you since you said majority not all.

Let me assist Oga Sheriff232 in doing justice to number 1.

The idea of tendering your FSLC is to enable the screening officer calculate your age. But your original birth certificate (that brown-coloured one issued by National Population Census) and WAEC certificate can safely act in lieu of the FSLC as they both have your age inscribed on them.

My case is quite similar to yours. I also dont have my FSLC so the other documents sufficed, but i had quite a hard time convincing them of my age using my schooling timeline. You go see when person wey no born you go dey follow you drag your age. My saving grace was that all my timelines aligned with my documents.

Hi bro,
How about those that have got affidavit concerning birth cert which was done in 2010,is it acceptable?

The Nigerian Army is lying. Ahan!!! See lie. To stabilize a patient can be done within 24 hours maximum. So how long is theirs taking? Years now. Since 2014.

Let then fly the guy abroad for the necessary treatment and stop beating around the bush.

Probably someone up there has eaten the money allocated for the course.

My guess is one should suffice bt its better to have d two jst in case.
Bro please I need you answers to these questions of mine since you were at NASB 2014

*1 About this referee and LGA signing did you print out 4 copies (2 duplicate each) of The reference form and the LGA attestation form or it was just the 2 (1 each) available on the portal after registration.

*2 if you printed 4, did u give 2 each (LGA and reference form) to ur LGA chairman and then to a military personnel?

*3 In the DECLARATION BY PARENTS form that are alike, since 2 copies was printed out from NA portal, after stamping at court, did NA request for the both declaration by parents form? because at the court, they collected one copy from me and gave me 1.

*4 with respect to question 1, if u printed only 2 (LGA and reference form) available in the portal did you give 1 to your LGA chairman and then other that requires passport to a personnel? because here my LGA chairman is refusing to do away with his passport, "he said he can't sign it because he is not willing to give his passport to us"

*1 I printed 2 copies of the local government attestation form (reference form) which i got 1 signed by a military officer and the other by the LG secretary which he refused to affix his photo insisting that's how does for all other applicants. Next is the attestation for Local government of origin ( which contains my photo ) , this was also signed by the LG secretary.
*2 I gave two to the LG secretary, one that requires his passport and comment in a box specified ( the reference form/ local government attestation form), then the attestation for local government of origin ( this already has my photo on it).
*3 I don't really remember if the court had collected a copy from me, all i remember is i simply made copies of the signed form afterwards. NA only requires the original signed form.
*4 Mine also wouldn't part with his passport as i stated earlier but signed the two forms ( attestation for LG of origin and reference form).

To our officers in the house, oga sheriff and others what advice do you have to give as regards this, when I got to my LGA headquarters so dat my documents can be signed, on presenting my documents and my LGA of origin certificate to confirm that I am really from the LGA, Lo and behold, I was told that my LGA certificate has expired, that's is only valid for a year (it was written with very small fonts that it valid for 1yearfrom the date of issue) and I was very surprised, shocked, angry and I asked them if I change my LGA yearly, that how would they feel if they were told that their state of origin or birth certificate expires yearly and they said that's how they generate revenue, I was compelled to do another one again.
The case now is that I used the supposedly expired LGA certificate during NA registration, though I have both certificates (old and new) in my possession tho.

As regards the declaration by parents, I will just have to print another one then take to court and sign to be on the safe side.

Those with colored printing were the first to be screened out. it adds no value whatsoever.
You can search the Chairman's photo online since he's a public figure and print it then attach, and about the declaration by parent only 1 copy is needed, no need to print another as long uv already have a signed 1.

The truth of the matter is, along the line of finding a military officer to sign for you, you might be lucky to meet someone willing and ready to help. Apart from that don't waste your hard earned money traveling around signing and begging one local government chairman for passport.

The Lt. Col. who stood for me as one of my referees in 2016 never knew me but made a very excellent remark about me.

When list comot and person no make am na the money weh person spend go pain pass.

The army will give at least 2 weeks to successful candidates to prepare for the interview. That time is enough to tidy up all you need.

My piece of advice.
