Yayira:If some of my stocks can make it to 30naira, I will just go and buy governorship candidacy from Oshiomole. Lol. Those highly priced stocks hardly ever move. Take Dangcement for instance it often moves N5 or N10 per day. See also Nestle. |

Oil below $60/ barrel collapses 22% in a month and Nigeria wants to raise minimum wage for nation that exports nothing but crude oil and imports everything.... I laugh in VENEZUELA! |

stcool:Stop looking at the WTI. The Brent and Opec data are more relevant to us. WTI is USA price. Do you know that Canada sells oil at $20. presently? |

...I will rather buy Seplat @ #640 and earn #18 interim dividend than Nestle at #1400 and #20 interim dividend. The truth is that upstream coil companies will do exceptionally well this year. We just have less than 2 months to end of year. If their 2017 FYE results was blistering at an average crude oil price of #50, nothing stops them from doing better this year. We already have a clue from Q3. Forget all the yanga that US is doing on oil reserve, crude price will find its way up again. Just watch and see!!! |

Pick good businesses. If the price keeps dropping below the fair price keep buying more in small amounts. Some of you are just making this thing too complex for yourself. Lol. Diamond bank has a negative ROA. I won't touch that with a 10ft pole. Yet, some people here are eyeing it. I would rate Diamond Bank a double C negative (CC-), any small investor buying into this bank now is speculating not investing. |

Mpeace:West Texas intermediate..... VS Brent... The shale revolution... Remember the factors that determine crude prices Supply and Demand Politics Speculation The technological breakthrough in shale production is the last joker In quality WTI is comparable to Brent, however the legislation forbid crude produced in US from being sold in international markets. Once WTI is down, Speculators will ultimately drive down the price of Brent , Suffice to say US is now officially the largest producer of crude in the world. They may start exporting to the rest of the world by 2022. Trump did his homework perfectly before slamming sanctions on Iran. With WTI down ,increase productions in US, Brent will surely drive southward. |
