Wow Part 6 already....I started following this thread in part4 after someone directed me to read @iphie25 posts because I've always thought express entry is not for lawyers(don't really know how that notion started)

But got ECA done in Part4,wife's ECA in Part5 and spent the majority of part5 battling with IELTS (4 times) but Alhamdulilah I'm done with that and anticipating ITA 2moro in sha Allah with CRS score of 462.

So I want to encourage everyone at one stage or the other...don't loose faith in this journey, eyes on the goal/target..don't procrastinate " you have to strike the iron while it's still hot"

I always achieve one goal or two in every PARTS therefore my goal of achieving PPR is in this part..and I've claimed it in sha Allah.

I am new here but more familiar with Aussie thread.

I tried reading somethings starting from page one but i need some info from the gurus here

i scored 371 in FSW
And below 67 in EE.
All these are without Job Offer from canada.

1)Questions: "must" one have a job offer before S/he can be accepted?

2) How possible is it to secure jobs offshore?
Because i noticed that if i add job offer; the point will increase to 69 & 421 respectively.

Age:31
Academy: ND (studied 3yrs part-time rather than 2) Fed Poly
Status: Single
Experience: To claim 1year when it's time.

Is there any other way if i pull off 8777
And can Australian IELTS be used in Canda matter?
Thanks in Adv.

Hello All
POF Question
POF Experts where are you!!!

I want to buy TBills from GTBank, I would like to know if GtBank issues TBills Certificate if you invest through them.

Someone mentioned this evening something contrary.

I need to be sure.

Je m'appelle SomebodyHELPPP

TBill certificates are no longer issued in paper form by most governments and Nigeria doesn't anymore either....what banks (GTB included) will give you is just a confirmation letter/print out that they have sold a treasury bill to you....this is not a certificate....however the bank's confirmation letter is valid as evidence of your purchase....similar to how equities/shares are no longer issued in paper form.

Hi everyone, just stumbled on this site, started reading from part 4 and I must confess, it's been an eye opener and filled with useful info. Kudos to everyone, may heart desires be fulfilled, amen.

Okay, my question is not exactly a question but more of an opinion sampling. Decision to travel was made in June this year and thus far, I've been able to tidy up all my docs and that of my spouse, being the principal applicant. CRS stands at 438. And because we've had to deal with other family engagements like our upcoming white wedding and others, we are a little comfortable waiting it out at the moment till early next year when we should've been a little balanced.

My tiny concern is, is this score worth the wait? I didn't exactly max out on IELTS being the accompanying spouse as my second attempt was even worse than the first, if I do this, it would come up to 441. I may be willing to try again in January after all these wedding wahala but then, with all these speculations of cut off going higher, is there really a chance of it swinging lower? In my head, I'd like to leave naija latest, third quarter of 2019. Otherwise, there's also the educational route we can explore and then claim points for Canadian education afterwards which is apparently more expensive but then, I just need to know how to manage my expectations. Informed opinions please. Thanks a lot everyone.

If you have any means of improving your score, please. Just like you rightly said, there are speculations that CRS will keep shooting up, going by this year's trend, and with all the US immigration wahala. Canadian immigration is now one of the most sought after in the world. Next year will probably witness more entrance into the pool. Explore the option of additional CERTS if you have just Bsc, TEF, also try maxing out your IELTS. Don't wait for the score to swing lower, because it may not.
All the best in your wedding preparations.

Finally ielts has freed my spouse after 3 attempts LRWS Nov 1 BC 8 8 7.5 8.5. His two previous attempts were 10th February BC 6.5 6.5 7 8 and 25 march BC 7 6.5 7 7.5.
I have been on this process since march trying to max out my ielts to 441 because I have a bsc and he has a masters degree so it has been a rollercoaster. I wrote 4 times trying to max out. 6 January 2018 LRWS BC 8.5 7.5 7 8.0
May MOD LRWS 8 7.5 6 7didn't bother getting my TRF
July BC LRWS 8.5 7.5 7 7
01 Nov LRWS 8.5 9 6.5 7.
We have spent close to 600k for everything including hotel bills and transportation for the exams. It has been a frustrating couple of months. I remember back in march telling my hubby that by December we would have been in Canada, not knowing what ielts had in store for my hubby. This whole journey has really taught me patience and perseverance,I won't lie.
I just updated his profile and he is meant to be on 449 but it's showing 464 saying 15 extra CRS additional points for French / bilingualism, and I have checked through over and over didn't fill anything pertaining to knowledge of French language. Pls is this a glitch from the system and is anyone experiencing the same thing.

Good morning people,

I am post ITA (5 days left to submit before my deadline). I was uploading supporting documents and cross checking them when I realised my husband's IELTS expired on the 3rd of November (I am the principal applicant). Without his IELTS our score drops to 438 and we would not qualify for the draw from which we were selected (cut off was 441). I have modified family information and changed him to unaccompanying spouse...score becomes 451 hence the children and I can go ahead to submit without him. Note also I loose 5 points in 2 weeks due to age change.
Our choices as I understand them are either
1. Submit without him, sponsor him as a spouse when we get ppr and land
2. Decline invitation, get him to write IELTS, hope he scores well enough and get back in the pool. However with this option, there is the added complication of 5 points lost due to age change...so what's the guarantee we score high enough to meet cut off! I used the CRS tool, using 6666 for IELTS score for him and using my new age... our score would be 442

My questions are:
A. Is there any other option I have not already considered?
B. How long does spousal sponsorship take?(I have researched but you know timeline given by CIC and reality of life sometimes differ and I would prefer to base my decisons on reality)
C. My research indicates that I will not be able to add him after AOR (since it is not a new marriage...visa officer might wonder why the sudden change of mind?). Additionally, I am not sure if even if it is possible to add him after AOR, score will not be recalculated using the fact that he had no valid IELTS at time of ITA received. Is this research accurate or is there a possibility of adding him legally after AOR?

I'm so upset at myself for not paying attention to the IELTS expiry date...this is a lesson to all. As I understand it, unfortunately only age is frozen upon receipt of ITA..IELTS result is not frozen.

As In U have gotten Ita?

That means Ur scores have locked

Submit ur application while he rewrites if that'll make u happy.

Thanks for your quick response...

Yes I received ITA in September.
If we submit the application with his IELTS that expired on 3rd of November would it not lead to a rejection? Thought IELTS should be valid at the time of submission of pr application and not only Pre ITA

I will go for option 2 if I were you...442 isn't a bad score, atleast for this year.. He may even score higher than 6666, thus giving you higher points....He can register for Dec 1 IELTS.

If option two fails, that's the only time I will consider option 1.. Spouse sponsorship isn't that straightforward, it's not just about landing and sponsoring him.. you have to meet certain criteria.. This was discussed in the last few pages of part 5..

Yeah, you can't add him post AOR because you were married before ITA..

I wish you the best.

In my opinion, secure the ITA as spouse not accompanying first.

He put in for IELTS, he might get higher than you anticipate. If higher, you decline the ITA and re-enter the pool as a couple.

Spouse application can take a year if not more.

Think deep, arrive at a consensus with spouse and shoot.

It will end well IJN.

Meanwhile our police certificates will expire 7th december so we will need to redo them too and i will loose 5 points in 2 weeks because of a change in my age
