Good morning people,

I am post ITA (5 days left to submit before my deadline). I was uploading supporting documents and cross checking them when I realised my husband's IELTS expired on the 3rd of November (I am the principal applicant). Without his IELTS our score drops to 438

My questions are:
A. Is there any other option I have not already considered?

I'm so upset at myself for not paying attention to the IELTS expiry date...this is a lesson to all. As I understand it, unfortunately only age is frozen upon receipt of ITA..IELTS result is not frozen.

Please don't be upset. It will surely end well for you and all yours.
I think you should go ahead and submit before your ITA expires. I suppose your ITA predates Nov 3 (expiry date of your hubby's IELTS) and perhaps is locked in. The stress and wait time to bring him to Canada later on has been described as "frustrating" if you to drop him.

I do remember someone shared his/her PPR testimony toward the end of part 5. This individual even submitted Academic IELTS results and got an ADR to resubmit the General test result. Took about 3 months or so before he could fulfill that requirement.

In the meantime, get him registered for another IELTS asap. Best wishes.

yes, received ita in september. was about to submit today when i realised ielts expired 3rd of November. Declined ITA now. Back in the pool. He will do ielts on 1st December. Meanwhile our police certificates will expire 7th december so we will need to redo them too and i will loose 5 points in 2 weeks because of a change in my age

God knows best.

This is incorrect o. IELTS scores are locked when your post-ITA application has been received (AOR) NOT when you get ITA.

Hephgirl:
Wait u said u r post Ita?
As In U have gotten Ita?

That means Ur scores have locked

Submit ur application while he rewrites if that'll make u happy.

cry sad

After gathering aaaaallll documents and feeling like I am almost at AOR...to have to take a step back again!!!!!!.

Seesms the consensus is to decline the ITA and get him to write IELTS.. will register him for 1st of December. We will remain in the pool with our 438...if by any mistake we receive ITA with it before receipt of IELTS results we will apply
I'm sorry Sis but this is the best course of action for you. Even with the reduced age, I'm positive you'll get ITA again because your husband will definitely score more than 6666 (I bet he performed better than that in the expired result).
Don't apply as unaccompanying please, you case is not that dire.

What PCC is required for someone who works is outside Nigeria, on a rotation of 2 month in the work country and 1 month Nigeria for vacation.?
Will it be PCC from Nigeria or from the Work Country?

I passed my IELTS of 13 October 2018. 1st attempt. 6 weeks of assiduous preparation.

Listening 8.5 (I stealthily copied 3 answers from people in the hall. Call it malpractice if you like, but I couldn’t afford to leave 3 spaces empty. 75k is not chicken change. Lol).
Reading - 8
Writing - 7.5 (Disappointed. I thought I would get 8. My preparation for the exam was 70% writing. I would have challenged it but it won’t change my CLB score. I may yet challenge it in the next 4 weeks if Australia immigration suddenly appeals to me.)
Speaking - 8 (The examiner almost used her foreign accent to intimidate & destabilize me. But I survived)

I am 32 years old. I am a dentist; so my education is equivalent to masters (yet to get my ECA though), and I have over 3 years experience. I have a girlfriend who is in final year in the University and I want to add her as my spouse. Yea, I think I love her, even though we are just 6 months into dating. If I apply as a single my CRS score will be 465. If I add her as wife it drops to 439. Therefore she needs to write the IELTS to make our score at least 440.

Now the advice I want is this. Can she write the IELTS first before we do the wedding; I would like the luxury of calculating our combined CRS score before I do a low-key court wedding. Or do we need to get married first before the IELTS? If these Canada people (IRCC) see that the date of the wedding is after her IELTS (in other words she wrote her IELTS as a single), will it look suspicious that we later married just before we submitted our Express Entry profile?

All the best to those still on IELTS stage.

My dear, I feel your pains as this is really painful taking a step backwards instead of forward.
Don’t despair just stay focus as God works in a mysterious ways. I think it better to decline and let spouse give IELTS his all, knowing well that you loose 5 points in two weeks. The good thing is that if he scores 6666 according to you, your scores can land you next ITA. So move all your family attention to the next IELTS and give spouse all the necessary supports he needs to surmount this hurdle. As you shall soon come celebrating your new ITA, for delay is not denial.

There people here who has masters, perfect age and ielts is steadily fingering them.. But at d end it's to keep pushing and be hopeful.
So finish ur masters while u explore the pnp route.

Do you know that PCC is valid for 6 months regardless of the 3 months stated on it? But why were you delaying in the submitting? POF? People should know that they can pay for their RPRFs later, if cash is an object or sth.

This matter was tackled in part 5 and the final consensus is; upload only your current valid passport data page and visa/stamps in the current passport.

But if I remember correctly, the [? - more infor] part of the upload stated that all travel docs. so I uploaded my current passport first with the travel visas and then the former passport with their visas. no harm including everything, instead of getting ADR for that little thing.
