I didn't watch the game but Baxter ain't it. I've known dude since he was their coach back in 05-06. He's not doing anything his predecessor Shakes Mashaba didn't do.

That explains it. If you watched how poor we were, you will understand the point.

And what will the new players be doing? Sitting on the bench? Coming in late? Failing to hold possession with neat interchange of passes? What will Rohr do differently with new players?

A team that has been together for 3years yet still struggle to string passes together.

No wonder a news media used the word 'Limp' to describe our team at the World Cup.

We were out played by the SAs. How does that sound to the ear sef? We need to be thinking big and set examples for other African countries to follow.

Rohr good o

Rohr bad o

This one better pass am o

That one better pass o

All join

He is wack when it comes to substitutions that's what I see.

He should have at least protested from the sidelines for those wrong offside calls.

But like Wenger that has the same fist pounding celebrations for almost all arsenal goals, Rohr is now gradually being pictured in my mind as a standa make I dey look dey go kinda coach. he just keeps looking and looking. No reactions.

Na dem sabi.

Like everyone out there, the arsenal in this current crop of players can do better than what I'm seeing if their coach dey scream like Unai Emery for sideline.

Rohr To South Africa : Play As You Did Against Super Eagles, You'll Beat Libya
Published: November 17, 2018

With Libya hammering Seychelles 8-1 on Saturday afternoon, it is going to be a big battle when South Africa face the Mediterranean Knights in March 2019 for the last ticket in Group E of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr named Brighton & Hove loanee Percy Tau as the South Africa player that impressed him the most in today's contest at the FNB Stadium.

The 24-year-old forward kept the Nigeria defense busy throughout the game and showed brilliant footwork to set up the South African equaliser scored by Lebo Mothiba in the 26th minute.

The Super Eagles won back-to-back games against Libya in October, while South Africa were held to a goalless draw by the North Africans two months ago.

Commenting on South Africa's final group game vs Libya, Rohr told SuperSport : ''It will be a big battle, in Sfax we played a very good Libyan team. They saw already here that it is not easy to beat them.

''But I think that if South Africa played as they did today, with Percy Tau who is a wonderful player they are going to beat them and even a draw will be enough.

''I think they will be with us at the next AFCON in Cameroon.''

You miss the key point. We deserve better football with the quality of our talents. Baxter with his tactics will have our players playing with more fluidity and intent.

Saying Baxter did not do well against other teams does not change the point that he will do better with more quality players.

The South Africans were the better side today when it comes to play. However, we had better quality players.

Finito.
again you miss the point Baxter hasn't done anything that even south African coach can't remember his name but the meme one hasn't done. Make the southies hard to beat while ruffling a few big teams feathers.

South Africa played better yet only one effort on target which they scored useless possession with no end product

I have no issues with wanting rohr replaced with someone better but saying that someone is baxter is simply laughable

A loss against Eagles would av cost Baxter his job, Baxter had a meeting with Rohr last month in London, Rohr came up with a suspicious list of players to prosecute the match, he chose a questionable line up and he was all Smiles when calls were going against his team. Yet, some ppl wanna tell me, nothing happened behind closed doors? If only this nonsense was done by a local coach

They can't have integrity o, unless them better spirikoko, born again, strong heart and fishing out results once in charge.

Why

cos the integrity test will first come. if he passes, the diabolical angle will come too. if he pass that one, then he needs to be bold in the face of opposition and finally, he must know his onions grin

See why it's not easy.

Many yaff fallen at the Integrity test part cos of a few Gandollars!!

One failed it but cos he knows someone that knows the way, he is right back in the national team. grin

Now that singular act has hungered the many local coaches that are eyeing the national spot someday. It will now be a motivation of sorts for them. grin

why, cos a hero of sorts survived!!!

I'm one of those waiting for a book written by Siasia Aoutvto his whole experience coaching Nigerian teams. it would be a very big exposuing platform, like Iweala's book did about the governors!!

As much as I hate rohr conservative attitude, I must say he is a decent tactician always knows how to grind out results with awful performance.

The way we are hyping our players is so disappointing, they are still average players in their respective clubs, all of them. Lets stop saying bunch of talents. No player there is a super star just an average bunch.

Is only on dis thread we tend to equal our players talents with d likes of Brazil,Germany, and co,I dont blame us anyway,na d love wey we get for eagles, make us hype our talent too

Sincerely, rohr is trying, aside is human error wc I think its normal, all coaches too av deir deficiencies, overall,he's tryin...even with d recent result we re having, a lot of my peeps out dere who re football fans like us dont usually rate our players talents at all, sometimes when I read comments on dis thread and equate it with what oda fans rate our eagles outdere, its like V.I TO OKOKOMAIKO grin grin grin,na only us dey c our players like say dem sabi ball, come to area and c aw ppu criticize dis team. After tdays match, majority out here even appreciated rohr DT during his era,no more hypertensive qualification, punching of calculators etc, saying he's getting d best result out of dis less average team, here we re calling for his sack grin grin,we re too over ambitious with dis average crop of players we av sincerely.

But the chemistry.... for SE is just stale.... See build up to Ramsey goal Vs fulham... I dunno why stringing passes is still an issue since. But the 94 and 96 set were very fluid with passes? what happened to SE after 2008? grin

you can say that all over again!

I don't know why our people are been conservative with the truth.

Well, me o. I'm not impressed one bit about this man called Rohr and his results. The truth of the matter is that we are not progressing as a team. One needs to separate RESULTS from PROGRESS.

I watched Holland play yesterday and I marveled. They are rebuilding after they missed out in this year's world cup. Their new team is less than 2years (post Robben Era) but it is more obvious that they are on the rise. Sense of purpose in their play, clear cut pattern of football, the boys are getting better with each match. They defeated the World Champions yesterday with a team with average players just like ours(cos Aside Van dyke others are just average too). They qualified from a group that has Germany and France.

But ask these Rohr's defenders that aside qualification for the World Cup and AFCON what else can we say about his team.
No improvement in pattern of playe. No winning mentality in the boys. Na to de experiment up and down.

A lowly SA are even calling us their rivals. What an insult! We went out against them today seeking for a draw. It's like Wales calling Germany their football rival.

Something needs to be done asap. Else we will just waste this pool of talent at our disposal. It's so sad.
.

We just qualified for the AFCON tournament for the first time in 5 years and you say that ain't progress? I laugh in Swahili. Besides, how can you separate Results from Progress when it's the Results that determine the Progress. Dude, take a seat please.

Yes it’s been our problem for long now. I can kind of excuse coaches that have had a short time managing the team. We had periods where we changed coaches frequently with each coach rebuilding all over again. But I can’t excuse Rohr.

Can this team get 45passes uninterrupted and fast in 35seconds in a match?

Pls don't preach the we would get there sermon. I've been hearing that for a decade now.

With the way some people comment here, I pity people they assess everyday ,because you can't just satisfy them.

SA played the beautiful football these set of critics want ,yet our goalkeeper was hardly troubled throughout the match. SA have been committed to this style of play since they hosted the world cup ,however, they lack quality players the style requires to win matches.

We have qualified with a match to spare ,while SA might still be knocked out, yet you want their coach.

Rohr has brought in freshness to the team yet you critics are still asking for perfumed air.

Nigeria missing out on previous AFCON is woeful. Our return to the continent is a return to normalcy. I don’t see that as progress. We are Nigeria, not Sudan etc. There is absolutely nothing to celebrate here.
