I am always amazed when I see many always fixing hair on a regular basis.
Sometimes you come across a lady with a nice Brazilian wig or something and when its time to go to bed and she takes it off you begin to see a whole new different face. Some worwor but some thing very ok with their natural hair.

But the main question is why do most ladies feel uncomfortable going out with their natural hair?

That's sadly the bane of the black gene. Our hair is just not as good as that of our caucasian brothers and sisters.

Waiting patiently for the all kinds of flimsy excuses that would be given and justified here tonight. Na only us weather dey adverse to? We've been always finding a way, why not circumvent it like others too? Now a market large enough to serve national budget 100times has been functioning cos no one wants to appreciate the natural.

Oops, I forgot I was waiting grin

Because they were raised in a society that views natural hair negatively.
Children before they walk have their hair chemically processed what does that teach that female child ?
Look at the celebrities how many have natural hair?
The magazines?
The media as a whole?
Beauty products? How many are advertised by women with natural hair?
Women of colour have been brainwashed to view their whole natural self as substandard
You are not beautiful unless you have long hair or fair skinned. .

This is the same shiit that black women in England, America etc say. Instead of admitting that you lot have an identity problem, low self esteem and the need to look like your European counterparts.
If the African weather and European weather ain't good for your hair.. Where else can you lot rock your natural hair.

That’s not true
How do people with dreadlocks grow their hair to floor length?
Women start ruining their hair very very early in life ....if you nurture hair, treat it with kindness hair grows. Abuse it and you will struggle.
Did our grandmothers and their mothers not have amazing hair? Where they not black?
Not all Caucasians have amazing hair
They struggle too.

I don't understand what you are even writing.
You that is a guy, If you don't cut you hair in 2 years, how long do you think it will be?
Black hair is kinky, curly, very stubborn and just doesn't grow straight like oyibo hair.

Even Caucasian children are able to have a long full hair without trying unlike black kids. So it's kinda very obvious - their hair grows faster and straighter than ours. Shikina

I normally fix my hair so as to make it long.
My hair is a natural one
fixing makes it to grow fast and by the way it's very long now
And also this dry season is not good for natural hair cuz it makes it to break.
So yeah I go for fixing.

You're welcome. Thank you too smiley.

My sister it's not easy. My natural hair journey started last year August, since its thick and very full I use shea butter always for moisture, coconut oil, aloe vera and other natural hair softening products.
Go to a natural hair salon and tell the stylist you want products for your hair. I can recommend kaiyin naturals(she's on IG),I dont know if i spelt her username correctly sha. Her shop is at GRA since you're in Benin.

Virgin hair na journey of the brave! grin grin.

I look prettier without a weave or fixed hair, pack my hair neatly without makeup and see me smile as heads turn around to tell me you are naturally beautiful. meanwhile, op why cant a girl do what she wants with her hair don't even start with what our mothers did and didn't do cos its not easy to keep up with natural hair.

I would love to argue with you but that would hurt my head.
Hair grows regardlesss of the structure. Our hair tends to grow out not down. Not all black hair is kinky, curl definition varies based on genes you would know this I suppose right? All people in Africa have the same hair type based on your very informed argument.

Not all black hair is kinky?
Let me tell you, a vast majority of black people have kinky hair.
In all the major races of the world, the black hair grows slowest and it all is curly which further hides it's true length.

The day Nigerian men stop going after girls with artificial hair and start appreciating our natural beauty then women would start going natural.
