Obinnalex:This is very funny, I'm not even the original poster and see how you're insulting me. All I'm saying is that I don't know the whole story and neither do you. The fact that you couldn't even be bothered to check if I was the person who posted originally tells me you just got incensed and you are not a thorough thinker. Nobody helped me with any admission, and I still say Germany was the easiest of all. It's just my personal opinion, it's not an absolute truth. All I'm saying is don't make generalized remarks like "admission to German universities is the hardest" because that's just your personal experience. Why is it so hard for you to accept that some people are capable enough to do things without some third party help? You're also misunderstanding something else, My issue here is not whether the person who is complaining worked hard or not. I don't know them so I can't say much about that. I'm saying the price 300k is a ridiculous amount to charge for putting some documents in an envelope and mailing them. Governments around the world try to stop things like this, that's why they do things like regulating monopolies so that companies can't charge outrageous prices. (So they do care about ethics, sorry to dissappoint you). Of course it's much harder to regulate more personal transactions between two individuals and that's where people come with your 'business' and take advantage of people. Also contracts won't save you, if a contract is one-sided or clearly exploitative it can be voided in a court. (Feel free to do your own research on this). So your landlord isn't wrong for charging more, that's business. The profit margin is acceptable. But if he started charging 2000 euros for that single room apartment and preying on desperate international students and locking them into contracts, he would get into trouble. So the girl who is complaining would not be sued in Germany, the agent would be told to defend his charges and prove that he put N300000 worth of work into her admission process. Should the agent give her the admission letter? That's up to him. Should she get her money back? Nope, that's also up to the agent. But should she pay up the balance for this exploitative service? Nope. Also I hope you realize that Germany isn't even in the top 3 destinations for international students so this tough competition you're imagining isn't real (They have approximately 250 000 international students per year compared to America's more that 1000000). Of course with the exception of restricted courses. Germany is searching for people, they need skilled workers. They even recently leveled the hiring ground between German, EU and foreign students. We're all on equal footing (according to the law at least) Anyway let me take my foolish unreasonable scamming self, with my low local mentality and leave this place (wao, only me has carried all of this). You will learn on your own that the rest of the world is not as lawless as you think. I know I won't convince you, but I don't want to leave your words here to potentially corrupt someone else's mind. Let people see two opposing sides and decide for themselves what they think is the truth. Have a lovely day ![]() |

Neyeko:I guess they know ppl don't want to work so they do the work for you, early this year I and my friend went round port Harcourt and we saw different prices, the cheapest was 150k, we saw $500 to $1000. Claiming it's (german school addmision )very complicated and getting embassy slots is impossible. That's why I tell the newbies to read. Nairaland made it possible for both of us. It's not ridiculous...Ppl charge that much. |
| Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Neyeko: 11:50pm On Nov 21, 2018 |
heybaby12:You said it yourself, they 'claim' that it's complicated. They misinform people and charge theses high prices while they don't do that much. When I say it's ridiculous, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I know it happens all over the country. I'm saying it's not right, the price they charge should be proportional to the work they do. Now if that 300k included German classes, I wouldn't complain. If the price was 100k, I might be able to believe they can justify it. Just because something is happening everywhere, doesn't mean it's right. That's one thing I wish we could all fight against as a country. |

| Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by fabiosmart: 5:12am On Nov 22, 2018 |
Neyeko:You points are well understood, however, after criticizing the Agent, the client needs to be blamed too. For me, she brought this upon herself, I agree she might be busy hustling for money and all that, but that's not an excuse not to at least Google "how to study in Germany" and read, at least once in a while. For God sake, the admission is not even a guarantee that you'll be given visa or does she think the Agent will follow her to Interview? Hell NO! That 300k is a lot but I can't blame the Agent much because it is a deal that has been agreed from onset. so I'll advise she pay up and learn from her mistake. There is a saying that "when you need something done real bad then you've got to do it yourself "(don't know if I'm correct) |

dayjeee:This will be difficult because the course modules In both degrees are different. But then again, that's why there's daad.de. Go thru it and filter. Check requirements and see if there's any that allows your bsc apply for msc in finance. But keep in mind that schools check ur transcript more than ur experience. So history to finance will be mad difficult. Why not look for a management course. They take almost any bsc |

Hi everyone. Well done for all the support you have offering this platform. I got admission into Gisma Business School for Msc IT Security for February. Fees is 12k euros and they ask for only a depot of 2k euros and I can spread the balance for the while I am studying in the school. I knew about the blocked account and I asked them if there are other options for proof of sponsorship. They told me I can use a sponsor from Germany or my home country Nigeria and that will not require any blocked account deposit. For the sponsorship from Nigeria, they told me that such person will follow me to the interview with proof of financial abilities or bank statements. Please I want to confirm the validity of the school and the Nigerian Sponsor aspect. Please I will appreciate it if you can be detailed in your response and profer an alternative if you think any information statement is not true. Thank you in advance |
