I had that challenge and I sent a mail. I was told to generate a new PIN. That the closed portal is for the Local Scholarship and so you should generate a new PIN for Overseas scholarship. The only challenge now is that after generating my new PIN, I keep getting only Nigerian institution. cry

I cant really say whether any is easy or difficult to get. I believe getting the scholarship is proportional to the amount of effort you put into it, not also forgetting that God's favour is required too.

But in choosing between them, a number of factors are to be considered:
Language, cost of living (housing and feeding), Ability to network and exposure to forums, Job opportunities for students, serenity, adequate mentoring and tutorship, ability to get professional assistance, residency permit... The list goes on

I obviously wont choose for you, the choice is yours.

Cheers.

KEY STUFF

1. Deadline of application is 6 weeks from now i.e December 31st, 2019

2. Candidates with minimum of 2.2 in a related discipline can apply for MSc

3. Candidates with minimum of 2.2 in their BSc and Merit i.e PhD grade in their MSc can apply for PhD.

4.Candidates may select up to 3 different courses (1st,2nd and 3rd choice) in any country or university, but are not to contact the schools directly for admissions as they will be placed in relevant universities by the PTDF

5. Candidates who successfully scale through the first round of
screening will be requested to submit their transcripts; all
applicants are therefore advised to prepare their transcripts
for submission in anticipation of such a request.

1. I cannot really give a definite answer to your question. What you should bear in mind is that you are competing with other candidates from your state. So you see why i can't give an answer because you don't know what other persons from your state are presenting. However, i know of a person who got it without a publication.
This is my honest advise to you: Prepare a draft of your bachelor's degree thesis and send to an international journal. If you are lucky it gets published on time, then use the published document. If it isn't published but you are sent an acceptance letter from the journal, print out the acceptance letter.
As for award/honors, it doesn't have to be a national award. Any academic, research or scientific award can serve... even if it is best graduating student or recognition from a conference.

2. As for age restrictions, i can't really tell. Though some institutions would say an MSc candidate should not be more than 30years. As for PTDF i can't say for sure. I can find out later.

3. If you are asked for an admission letter then it only means one thing. I am sure you already have the answer yourself.
For PhD candidates, if you eventually pass the interview (that is if you are called) then it is advisable you start looking for a supervisor immediately.

Cheers

Thanks for this. You gave me some insights. You said to ask you questions regarding Germany or France. I didn't choose any institution in France but chose ULM university in Germany. Could u please give me any information regarding the school and can I also send my motivation letter so you could review it?

Hello
Please I need some clarification
What pin is required to be submitted alongside the ssce results? And also, what admission letter is to be uploaded, is it JAMB undergraduate admission letter since we are not required to contact the schools we'll be choosing before the applications?
By the way, I'll be applying for MSc.
Thanks

Please I need help.
I have registered on the DAAD website, how do I continue with the rest of the application?
I need steps, its getting confusing.
I also dont know if I'm following the right steps. I can't seem to find the "Nigerian-German Postgraduate Training Programme Master • DAAD" in the search bar.
