Do you think the 3 service arm receives the same budgetary allocation..... obviously that of the army is higher.
Can you count how many staff accomodations have been set up, furnished and commissioned by the air force in the last 4 years?..... I'm sure there are way over 30 which then begs the question -
Apart from paying staff salary, what major expenditure has the army undertaken.....

Of course don't you think I know that already, the question we should be asking is what's the ratio of the budget in terms of numbers of service men/women and needs.

The total number of active personnel in the airforce is not up 20,000 and the army over 200,000 as of 2016, do you see the defference.

Let's check there budget; https://www.google.com/amp/s/ynaija.com/opinion-2017-ministry-defence-budget-analysis/amp/

Can't you see that you're making a fool of yourself?

Where talking about Vickers and MT-LB and you're showing T-72s and Btr-4s?

You have succeeded in proving the point most of us having being making, poor planning and incompetence were our bain.

Please read your own source/link.

Use your brain, it's not a decoration or for fancy.

You're problem as been comprehension and talk for the sake of been heard.
If you read what I wrote well coupled with the pictures I uploaded is to tell you the state of our equipment; "You just confirmed my suspicion. Too much textbook and PS3 combat games in that your cocoa nut head.

In a type of BH attack, you need speed and maneuver to beat incoming attacks. It's not about big guns; rapid fire supression will give you an edge.

Have you ever wondered why his it that it's always the Vickers MBT and some old relics is always what they captured

We need more fast tanks in the class of T72 above and fast IFV (wheeled & tracked) with thick armor with rapid fire power. Now run along and the more Internet research MUMU"

Dont be foolish; read what I write and add the images I uploaded to your brain, dummy.

Someone posted a youtube video on Beegsblog depicting individuals porprting to be surviving Nigerian solders in the aftermath of the attack commenting hysterical on background destroyed military vehicles such as Tanks, APC’s and the like. Supposing the Vid is true and not ducted in any way by unscrupulous individuals bent on exploiting the current debacle for political purposes , what sort of weapons could Bokoharam have employed in shattering those tanks and heavy equipment so utterly? I mean, i am aware of a number of weapon types capable of doing so but the soldiers in the vid seem surprised, the implication being that they felt the fault lays with the condition of the Nigerians tanks and APC's not Bokoharam weapons.

this is the vid:

Geronimoe:
Training at the Nigerian Depot is nothing to talk about. They teach you how to roll in the mud, "plant your head", march and salute and maybe take you into the Bush once to shoot AK47. After graduation you are sent to your unit, that's all, until when called upon again to shoot at unarmed citizens or to quell an ethno/religious crisis.
What's here to misunderstand?

Like Henry and i said before, total lack of discipline and rotten chain of command is a huge problem here, and lack of organization.
In that video you can hear that soldier telling others to stay if they want, or leave.
Begs the question, who the fvk is in charge of these units? Because in a situation like this, leadership is critical, and i see that sorely lacking, someone gotta calm such situation down, but as usual, that was a break down right there.
what a shame.
Those guys should down their tools and walk, until those leaders take human life seriously .
And why make this a tribal thing? damn

Sir, that video tells me a lot about the discipline (or gross lack of) and morale at the battle front. If this narrator's unit is attacked, the soldiers have already resigned to faith before even firing a bullet.
BHT insurgency will end the day Army top brass stop making money from it. That simple.

You see the high level of indiscipline prevelant in the rank and file of the Nigerian army.

This is exactly what i've been saying all day, irrespective of the equipment, indiscipline is rife.

2 T-72 Tanks destroyed

2 Vickers MBT destroyed

Otokar Cobra destroyed

Streit Typhoon MRAP destroyed

The soldiers don't even know the Tanks, saying the T-72s were bought during Shagari's regime.

How do we move from this?

Soldiers are indisciplined, CO's lack strategy, leadership and are utterly corrupt, the high command are living in some sort of kuvuki land.

You lose with all that, and i spend my days posting pictures celebrating these troops!

Damn....... I feel defrauded.

I just cannot continue, i'm done with these guys.

Nigerian troops downed tools even before the first shot from BHT.

BHT instilled the fear of God into the minds of troops deployed in Metele.

They say cowards die many times before their death. That's it right there.

Are they even properly trained to use that equipment?

BHT were armed with 12.7mms, RPGs and AK-47s nothing else.

After routing friendly troops they torched the armoured vehicles and cart away ammunition and whatever they could carry.

This is very shameful.
