good for you

But majority will still flee the Nigerian jungle as the years go by tongue

even those of a higher financial standing than you are processing express entry et al

life is about choice tho

do what you think is best for you
Sure. At least they will be going prepared. But if someone with a high pay or financial standing like me leaves this shithole to run around looking for green card or dodging from security agents, I think the person is all of men most useless, I say this with all humility.

If you must leave, leave the right way, with your papers, etc. The truth is that not all of them over there are better than us in this shithole.

OP, and can’t advice you what to do but can offer a few suggestions.

1) Some of the people giving advices could be astute and accomplished professionals and some could be frustrated agberos on cheap Chinese android phones with awoof data.

2) Nigeria is not aflamed and people are not committing suicide enmass as suggested.

3) Go on Twitter and search for the name of your city in Nigeria and see tweets on creative businesses.

The most important piece of opinion I can share is to not come back empty handed (I’m typing this from my house in elebu though I’m a US citizen for over 30 years).

Goodluck, and JustWise is correct, this is a decision about your kids and their legacy.
You are welcome home uncle. I also reside in Elebu. I have been a silent follower of your posts and I admire your perspective to life. I hope we meet before you leave.
Sorry for derailing OP

Olodo, I don't need to boast here about how comfortable I am. You are wrong though, I am not interested in traveling to the US, I am already in the top 5% earner in Nigeria and I am doing just fine here.

The OP might just go through this. There's still kind of hope for her kids....

PS. I never left Nigeria got this while surfing the net on my own. So I don't really know how the system works yet

Yea, that article proves my previous post , she was only able to adjust through marriage , but that was after 30 years , she came to the country when she was young and under different adminstration. Things were much different when she came, so it would be easier for an illegal immigrant to move around. But now this administration wants to cut down LEGAL immigration , deport more people and create laws that also promote self deportation.

Thanks everyone for your contributions....with all the advice, I'm weighing both options to see which is best for me.
Truth is, I'm not even scared of being caught and deported at all cos the state where I am is kind of accommodating of people without documents especially when you have kids. Just trying to make my decision based on the long run; like should I keep going like this or should I just go back now that I'm not that deep deep in the system wasting my time.

I just hope you are not getting government benefits for the kids, because that may bar you for adjusting your status , if you are ever able too.

The lady was also single with no kids before the marriage which made a little easier for her. But the article details, the issues that the op children may face in the future as illiegal immigrants.

But I felt the OP children might still be lucky enough to still get their papers right?
With marriage

Of course, many DACA beneficiaries have grown up and got married to US citizens. They now have their legal status. God the the children’s side, they will grow up and get married. They will never forgive their parents for bringing them back to Nigeria.

One should not get married just for papers. If it was that easy, they’re would be no illegals immigrants. I hope you know that they are illegal immigrants married to American citzen for some reason, they were unable to adjust their status, marrying a us citzen does not mean automatic legalization . Lol, exactly.Nigerians and their obsession with marriage. Like I said earlier, if it was that easy to get married , there would be little to no illegal immigrants.
