But what she did to Naboth was another matter. Naboth was a commoner and there's no reason to believe that story was made up. Stories about her might have been exaggerated a bit but she mostly liikely was a Cannanite Lady Macbeth.

Jezebel's story is thousands of years old and a lot of embellishment could have been added over centuries. The specificity of the encounter with Naboth does not necessarily give any credence to the bible recording of Jezebel's evil nature as there is no secondary source to validate the historicity of Naboth and/or a contested vineyard.
