If the SE wants to prove to be politically savvy, now is the time to fully align with APC/PMB to win landslide in 2019. Doing that is the only thing that can give them a credible claim to 2023 presidency and many neutrals will side with them.

Pitching their tent with an obviously doomed project in Atiku will only increase their anger and frustration after the election must have been won by PMB with the support of SW. And it will be idiotic and stupid to expect SW not to lay a legitimate claim to the presidency in 2023.

How a people blessed with reservoir of business acumen are always found lacking in strategies to succeed in politics is beyond comprehension. Could it be because of their politics of bitterness?

The problem with our South Eastern brothers is that they hate everybody in their domain and in other regions. They even hate their Jewish con-man leader Kwanu.

Noted. But you're pro PDP especially at the center.
Let's just say I am not in bed with the pretentious xter of Buhari led APC government and the incompetencies. However I am still shopping for a reason to leave Osinbajo for Obi. Because in the larger picture there's no difference between Atiku and Buhari.

The Governors don't determine how Igbos vote, every Igbo person makes his or her decision individually based on conviction, they don't normally follow the bandwagon like in the South West or North.

Governors not attending Atikus event does not mean much to the SE
Yoruba Muslims BMC should concentrate on their region and leave Igbos alone

I don't know how many core easterners have commented thus far. But note this: even if all the S.E governors come out and openly declare support for Buhari, they will only help to increase his vote in that region to max 20%.

Illiteracy in the east is not too high, as well as sheepish followership. So all of you hoping that buhari will get anything from the SE, you are on a long thing. SE/ SS is on lockdown.

Having said that, the battle for Atiku should be focused in the north, thats the region that will make the winner.

The difference between Buhari and Atiku is more than that between earth surface and the heaven.

If PDP had been serious about changing their ways, Moghalu or Sowore will be flying their ticket in 2019. Then we will know they're serious with their apologies for the 16 years rot.

The bill was rejected by the Senate headed by your demi-god Saraki. The man who always shouts "democracy is in danger" at any slight issue.

Factcheck: That bill has been passed by the Senate and it's left for the state house of assemblies to do the needful.

All the Igbo governors have made up their minds to sabotage akiku in the election. They have been waiting for atiku to come for reconciliation talks but atiku, on the advice of peter obi, has been postponing the meeting to make sure that the december deadline for substitution of candidates elapse before he meets with the governors, whose intention is to have peter obi replaced. Atiku thinks he is smart but the Igbo leaders will deal with him ruthlessly when he would really need them.

You're incorrect the LG autonomy bill is before state houses of assembly. The bill get rid of state local joint account. Its best to direct energy towards state houses to vote on issue. Dont misinform people.

Approved LG autonomy: Benue, Plateau, Niger, Bauchi, Sokoto, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Kwara and Ogun

Votes Against LG autonomy: Edo, Rivers and Imo

You're not thinking logically then. Buhari has no voting power and already gave his blessing.

Absence of S-East govs

The absence of the South-East governors came in the wake of concerns by senior officials of the party over the perceived disrespect Atiku had allegedly shown to the region’s political class since his emergence as the presidential candidate of the party.

That perceived disrespect was first pronounced last month when Atiku announced Mr. Peter Obi as his running mate after consultations with some governors and prominent party officials without any South-East politician involved. An attempt to make up for the gaffe penultimate Wednesday stoked further controversy when Atiku met with South-East leaders in Enugu but without the political class.

Neither Ekweremadu nor any of the PDP governors attended the meeting that was mostly graced by leaders of thought but who the politicians allege cannot deliver the votes.

Yesterday, some of the governors pegged their absence on previous commitments. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State said his absence was due to previous scheduled appointments.

“Far, far from it, we are working with him. Our governor was at his event last week. He could not come for this one because he has two engagements today, and in fact, I am talking to you from a ceremony,” Mr. Enyinnaya Apollos, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ikpeazu told Vanguard, yesterday.

Responding to the allegation that the South East governors intentionally boycotted the function, Chairman of South East Governors Forum, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, denied that it was a boycott.

Umahi, who responded through his Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Uzor, said: “There is nothing like boycott. His Excellency, Governor Umahi, is currently (last night) in Lagos attending Ndigbo Lagos Foundation.

“He didn’t boycott it, rather he is attending South East assignment. His Excellency, Peter Obi, is also here. Other governors are represented and if there is anyone boycotting, it should be personal because I know South East is not fully being controlled by PDP.

“There are other states controlled by APC and APGA and there is no way South East governors could be said to have boycotted it.”

Perceived disrespect! Who perceived the disrespect?

All these tatafo people that will not mind their business but will continue to analyze the actions and inactions of other the South Easterners from their jungle cavelands.

How many Southwest governors attended the installation?

S-East govs should gauge their people’s mood —Afenifere

Reacting to the development, last night, the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, urged the South-East governors to gauge the mood of their people before embarking on the game.

The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin said:

“When the candidate of their party went to Enugu State, they were not there. A week after they went to the Villa to ask the President to do for them in three months what he could not do for them in three and half years. Now, they have an event in Yola and they were not all there. The advice to those governors is for them to gauge the mood of their people because there are some of them seeking re-election for a second term. Before they start this game, they should try and gauge the mood of of their people correctly "

See this one...you think South Eastern governors are like your governors who jump from one owambe occasion to the other without putting the interest of their people first? Rubbish!!

Afenifere has lost its relevance, What is their business with absence of South East governors? The other time they placed a suspension on Omisore for his constitutional right of freedom of association (supporting APC).
Afenifere is a huge joke.
