Well, you shouldn't have put "self" there; it should have been your sponsor. You can fill a fresh DSFORM, then update your profile on the appointment site with the new dsform number and reprint the confirmations for both. Oh, have you submitted the dsform?

Dec 4 is fast approaching. Truth be told am a bit nervous, however there a lil issue on my Ds160 my uncle is the main sponsor of my Education but I'll be paying for my Trip my self . On the DS160 the part that ask who is the sponsor of this trip I picked the option of self, pls I need to know is it the same as sponsor of education? Can I change it if that a mistake? Will the change also affect my date of interview.
Pls I need urgent response.

What did the VO see on your profile? You can add additional sponsor. Go through your dsform and try to see if there is something unusual there that might have caused the refusal.

Hello guys, Please I need some advice.
First, I have gone for interview before, was placed on Administrative processing but was later denied. I felt maybe it was because of my statement. It was my Uncle's and it had the required minimum amount and a few more millions. required was 12m. I went with 16m.

I felt maybe they wanted to see more money. My interview is next month. I plan on adding my sister as my sponsor including my uncle. I am also thinking about getting another uncle of mine involved.

My question is. Will adding My 2nd uncle affect my chances or should I add only my sister?

Please I need advice from you guys.

Thanks

Were you previously denied? If not, it is possible you did not submit enough prove with your appointment request.

please gurus help a poor boy oooo. I applied for an expedited date but I was denied. Please what can I do to get a date earlier than the one I have picked before which is January 4th. My school is resuming on January 10th and we on GTA are told to be in school by 7th of January.

Please what can I do

If you have scheduled your appointment and now preparing for your interview, please try stay away from here. It seems the news of recent denials is not helping your psychology. No put yourself under unnecessary pressure. Stay away from this group for now. Then one more thing: revise your proposed transcript 3 times a day. Morning, afternoon and before bed. Correct what needs to be changed; put the important points first, so that before the VO cuts in, you'd have delivered quality response. Get Get familiar with your proposed transcript to an extent that if the VO wakes you up from the sleep and ask you any of the questions, you'll be able to say it confidently. Once you're able to deliver in front of the VO, your chance is higher. Statement and other factors outside your influence will do the rest.

Before you take a break, get someone you can do mock with. Do it every day.
Good luck!

while you have apoint , i dont agree ooo............. nothing in life is easy . getting visa is one. It not easy for International student to get H1B , so the journey is not for the faint hearted ....... Even if you later adjust that too is not easy . nothing in life is easy again

However if you want it , you just have to chase it , give it your best and hope for the best .

Just dont go to the embassy with any fake thing (that just spoils it for us) and be a genuine student . Prepare well and pray because there is still an element of luck

If I post one here, many students will use it, and it won't make any sense.

My dear, we are on the same page. I was suggesting they should rest a bit from here because some of these students are discouraged on seeing denials message on this thread. If they have scheduled their appointment, they can focus on preparation. Remember that we are not in the same shoe; some people can't find courage to keep believing when they see disappointment happen to others. It is good that they cultivate strong mental attitude and hope for the best, but if seeing refusal transcript is causing panic, then being away until after the interview might help. That is the point I am trying to pass across. Cheers!

The company's name will be on the Ds form. or what do you advise. Should they transfer to me and i present my statement? I am just asking just to know the best way. My application is fall 2019 and am preparing ahead. I will be going with my wife and the funds should be able to cover for both of us.

Thank you

Just make sure you get the minute of meeting/board resolution where it was agreed that the company would sponsor you.

Why didn't add your MRV receipt and and sevis confirmation? These two docs are part of the requirement for approval. You cause it. try again.

All these denied, delayed left and right would only be giving someone negative vibes although that's a reminder that it's no child's play and you have to do your best

Don't let people's experiences define you.

Then you have to wait...or simply put, you may be ineligible. Because of student like you, I posted about the Expedient appointment here. Approval and denial of Expedient appointment lies in US Embassy's hands. Once they denied it, you may have to wait and I don't know for how long. You go ahead with the scheduled date and hope for the best. I have seen student whose visa was granted 3 days to program starts date. So, keep calm!

In case you are not getting an earlier date, talk to your program coordinator on the possibility of getting in a little late and get a week's extension from the International Student Office.

Hi pals,

I have been a silent follower of this thread. Now I have my interview slated for dec2 and I have 4 questions.

1. Is it compulsory to go with a student copy of your academic transcripts as the one I requested from my school here is not ready due to the strike. I have my certificate.

2. What are the pros/cons of adding an aunt - who has stayed legally for 15 years and is now a Registered Nurse to your application? She won visa lottery that year.

3. Is 19mil naira okay for a program that'd cost 36k usd?

4. What are the pros/cons of presenting a 7-band GENERAL IELTS test certificate? Abi I should kukuma keep it at home as it's not the 'academic' type?

Gurus, please help as usual.

Hi,
While filling out the DS-160, I had indicated that I'll be attending the interview at the embassy in Lagos but I decided to schedule the interview at the Abuja embassy because it was more convenient for me. Is it okay to use the DS-160 even though it says lagos embassy on the DS-160 confirmation page.
Thanks

No you cannot use it,your ds160 address must match your appointment address. So you gotta fill a new Ds160 with Abuja address
