1. I cannot really give a definite answer to your question. What you should bear in mind is that you are competing with other candidates from your state. So you see why i can't give an answer because you don't know what other persons from your state are presenting. However, i know of a person who got it without a publication.
This is my honest advise to you: Prepare a draft of your bachelor's degree thesis and send to an international journal. If you are lucky it gets published on time, then use the published document. If it isn't published but you are sent an acceptance letter from the journal, print out the acceptance letter.
As for award/honors, it doesn't have to be a national award. Any academic, research or scientific award can serve... even if it is best graduating student or recognition from a conference.

2. As for age restrictions, i can't really tell. Though some institutions would say an MSc candidate should not be more than 30years. As for PTDF i can't say for sure. I can find out later.

3. If you are asked for an admission letter then it only means one thing. I am sure you already have the answer yourself.
For PhD candidates, if you eventually pass the interview (that is if you are called) then it is advisable you start looking for a supervisor immediately.

I believe this should serve also. But be very certain that you will get the paper published before the interview (If selected). Because you MUST surely be asked for your publications. This basically is a test of your research acumen

It was smooth and I did same with my statement of purpose took me less than 48hrs to write.
all in all, the site is easy to navigate.

I just left out the admission letter stuff since they said they'll get admission for us and also chose UK schools all through since they were the only schools with courses related to my area of interest which is IIOT

Choice of country/schools is on the first page, if you log in to your application, go all the way back, you can ask @yakbauer I told him the same

What I meant is whether we must choose schools across the three countries or choose all three schools from the same country. I got no answer till I did what I thought was good for me, choosing all three schools from UK

oh I understand, from last year the UK places were deemed more competitive so I spreading it may increase your chances

Letter of motivation is required.
You can't apply without a discharge letter. Just finish ur service and gain relevant work experience. You can apply next year. You could also check out some other scholarships available. Google after school Africa

Pls, I do not understand this requirement number 3 below about the PIN. Is it the PTDF application generated PIN? If yes, where should I include it? Some one should help me explain please. Also I did not find a place to attach a professional qualification. What should I do?

3) WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO results as well as the PIN numbers on the application forms to enable PTDF view the O’level results on the relevant website).

the space is there but its not compulsory - the mandatory documents that one must upload was listed on the PTDF site
