Without a specific trade or training, the 500k will be gone in a few weeks or months. I think there are better ways of empowering people.

Nigerians are really living in bondage. A spiritual and intellectual bondage that is as bad as the slavery of the Europeans.

Here we have a young boy who has been denied his right to education and development. His fate is so hopeless that when he encounters his elected representative, his only hope is to debase himself by showing absolute servitude. His Rep, a two time governor who destroyed and looted his state decides to show largess with a portion of the looted funds.

The servant has become the master and the master is now a begger.

Yet some people here are chanting 'God please locate me', 'give me similar favor', 'pick my call'.

Black people are cursed.

This country is done for honestly.

When I see senators and politicians in the western hemisphere, wealth does not come to mind.
I don't even necessarily envy them.

But when I see Nigerian officeholders, the first thing that comes to my mind is "too much money ".

These politicians have finished this country with their utter disregard for national resources and wealth.

You see a governor moving on the road and give someone 1 million for whatever reason.

Who does that?

Why should a governor have that kind of easy access to funds?

He is supposed to debate and debate and prove the merits in the state house of assembly before getting 1 naira, if this country was sane.

Bros you don't know him at all until you here the stories of people who have first hand experience of how hundreds of people queue to get his blessings.
Poor people don't joke with him in Akwa ibom because he steals like every other politician but the difference btw him and the rest is,he gives some of these monies back to the people.
