Hello house.

I am really scared my visa might get denied on the basis of insufficient funds.

I am a recent graduate and I was invited by Microsoft to interview in South Africa. The interview is supposed to last for 3 days. And Microsoft agreed to foot the bill for the flights and hotel reservations. They booked using their card and I submitted the the bookings as well.

The only problem is that in the Visa Support Letter Microsoft didn't explicitly state that they would buy the tickets. It only said that they would be handling my stay there.

I was asked to submit my bank statement which obviously doesn't have the amount for the ticket in it.

I'm worried that my visa might get denied because of this.

My interview is supposed to be by December 5th (flight on the 3rd) and I submitted on November 16th

What's up bro. Please is your visa out

Hello nairalanders, God bless u all for taking ur time to give helpful information. My bestfriend received an invitation letter and bank statement of invitee two months ago to come to south africa, the applicant only prepared his bank statement a month after (1 month bank statement of about 700k)
My question is, will the time gap between the time d iv letter and bank statement of invitee was sent and the time his bank statement was printed affect his visa approval
He's applying for one month
Pls help a brother in need

I got my CSV on Friday, for a job I should have resumed a month ago after I had applied 3 months 3 weeks ago.

In everything I remain grateful to God, especially since its been issued. But I'd say this, try to get someone with leg to have a look at your application If you are in a similar position.

I don't have information on how helped me so asking me won't help you. I just knew someone who knew someone who knew someone and it got issued in 2 days.

Please I need your assistance on how to go about my application for a PhD program in south Africa.. I have a B.Sc and M.Sc but I don't know how to go about my PhD admission and visa application
Thanks

@Johnny2015

As an applicant from Nigeria, best advise would be for you to finalize your initial PhD Study Visa application as a sole applicant. However, on the forms, you would note your wife and kids details on forms. I believe there's a section saying or asking "if they would be travelling with you" Just choose NO.

Once you have secured your Study Visa, travelled to SA and fully registered and enrolled at your educational institution, then send the following documenta to Nigeria for your wife and kids to apply:
1. Your passport and visa page(Certified copies)
2. Proof of enrolment at Educational institution
3 Your SA bank statements
4. Proof of accomodation- school residence(not the best in this case)

They will issue them a Visitor Visa most-likely for the duration of your program(But it wont exeed 3 yeara)

If you need further assistance, please ask

All the best

Bro, God uses people to push stuff.
I trust He will do the same in your case.

paulavon:
Congrats man, i have been using your application as a benchmark to when mine will be out since we applied same time. Since someone helped to push yours,i will only put my trust in God for the embassy to work on my application. I am no more enthusiastic about this whole stuff.

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Sandhill: 10:29pm On Dec 04, 2018
Lol, no be small thing. Especially when the company's immigration consultant told me I should get it in 2/3 weeks.

But, It all worked out good. Just resigned with peace of mind, I get to spend December here in Lagos, and got a new start date due next month.

Man proposes God Disposes.

Yes it's possible to extend it but it can be a very costly process and if the request to extend it is denied, it puts you in a precarious position. Best advice utilise the ten days and return.

Stay the 10days and return if you overstayed then getting another South African visa will be a miracle.

@iamking

Yes, its possible to extend your stay via medical grounds and other reasons. But, as you have been advised, rather spend the 10 days and return.
I need to ask though, how long did you state on your Visa application form that you intend to spend im SA?
