They don’t test for that, whereas weed is legal in Canada.

I'm going for my medical on Friday, but the problem is that I smoked weed yesterday night.

Is that going to affect things?

This the funniest thing I've ever seen in this thread grin grin grin
The answer to your question is...
You will be asked in the questionnaire if you smoke
So in your case say ”YES” grin grin grin grin

Weed is legal but they also have strict regulation on it

So don't get it twisted.

I once raised this concern and this was the response by jnyunwa02.

I hope this helps.

Been pregnant even before medicals is done, won’t stand against your visa chances. Trying to conceal your pregnancy is what will stand negatively in the way of obtaining your visa. All pregnant people should disclose their status during medicals because X-ray can harm unborn fetus. As far as you have money to take care of your expenses in Canada and show that you have ties that will induce your return to Nigeria, been pregnant is not a qualms. You can get covered for insurance for yourself and your baby cheaper than normal if you obtain health insurance through your school. I speak from experience of a woman I met here on this forum. While her application was pending, before medicals, she became pregnant. She thought of concealing it, but I told her not a good idea. We worked on her SOP addressing such pregnancy issue and the financial obligation she has made to take care of herself and her baby through the school insurance policy. CIC didn’t see it as a qualms and approved her. She enetered Canada about 4 months pregnant and was not asked any questions at POE. Her story is not unique. Many pregnant people get approved if they can prove the bonafides of their studies plan and return to Nigeria.

Hello Tnablack, pls check ur mail, I sent you a msg

This isn't going to pose no threat to your medicals. The major concerns for testing are for transferrable and contaminating diseases and viruses. Also certain health challenging illness that might pose a burden to the Canadian government.

Many people who are high on certain substances other than weed has got medical passed. Drug testing isn't a criteria for granting a Canadian study visa.

FYI: W.E.E.D is now very much legal in Canada.

Just don't smoke so your heart pump shouldn't be pounding from exhaustion

I unequivocally say that, the attached letter was not written by a fellow learned colleague....the grammatical error, poor punctuation is an arrant show of shame and a defeat to professionalism.

The letter headed paper was either stolen or the letter was prepared by the least of all baby lawyers.

In any case, write to the school either to seek for a refund or a deferral depending on your choice. Considering that a third party processed your application, do not reapply without seeing your GCMS notes......since the refusal letter was given to you, your UCI and application number would be on the refusal letter....you would need those details to request for the GCMS

When you are set to reapply, simply create a CIC account and process your application yourself.....Nairaland will definitely be a sure guide.

Good luck!!!

URGENT UPDATE PLEASE KINDLY READ THROUGH..

Hello Nairalanders. I want to call the attention of everyone here . I once posted what I have been suffering from the hands of the Agency that I simply contracted to take care of my application. This is simply a monumental show of shame and greed. I am pressing demands to have access to my CIC online application for Canada Study Permit. At some point I got vexed because of the undeserving treats I got from this Agency. Sometimes you call their number they won’t pick. It appears as if I was bugging them with my calls and sometimes instead they will tell me to send a mail.In my life I have never been humiliated or treated the way I was treated by this Agency. But I was calm and patient because I was determined to see the end of it and on the 27th of November the Agency forwarded me a mail from CIC which contained the refusal reasons and I posted it here that finally the visa has been denied.
I believe that login details should be a rightful entitlement entitlement of whomesomever that applies for a study permit via the online route. But in my case is has become a sacrilege that I am requesting for it even after the VISA has been denied.
They never granted me access to this till my visa was denied on the 27th of November which I also posted on this thread. Today I also got a letter from the Agency (KEYSTYLE LEARNING) that I am threatening them. To be honest I do not trust them anymore because of the way everything is playing out and since it has surfaced to this level I am prepared to go to any length with this Agency . So now my visa has been denied and
I am rightly requesting that they grant me access to contact my school to applly for the refund of my tuition fee I paid directly from my bank since the agency has been the one contacting the school on my behalf since July .These their attitude goes a long way to demonstrate that something is hidden. So I do not have right to also ask them to grant give me the online access to contact the school that I paid my tuition fee to refund my money? ... Please I want everybody to look into this matter and tell me where I have gone wrong.

I am ready for this WAR which they have waged against me and I am going to fight it to the finish. This is my 2Million Naira that is involved . It’s my hard earned money I paid directly from my bank to school and now that I need the agency to grant me access to ask for refund they are keeping deaf ears. The wickedness of man is too much in this country.

The school is supposed to refund your payment through the card you used in making the payment. Write to them and humbly enquire about it

I'm sorry for all you have to go through. Firstly, the letter issued to you is not in anyway written by a lawyer, there's no stamp on it. Secondly, did you sign any contract with this agency? Please answer this questions then we'll know where to begin.
