In all of that, salaries were increased from under 3k to 18k minimum wage. Bottom line people could afford the items cos the corresponding purchasing power increased too.

The real issue is the poll not rallies...For example i may be a die hard fan of buhari, but that doesnt say i must go to the rally in Kano while i live in kaduna.

You are a "die hard fan", not a party member! In fact all levels of the party are told to send at least a specific number to rallies! For a state rally, each party leader in each local government will show with his members. For zonal rallies, it may be organised by state or factions in each state. Rallies are what party leaders use to show their popularity to their own leaders! Reason some of them mobilise crowd with money to rally ground! Reason some share branded clothes to crowd. They will later claim those wearing the branded cap, T-Shirt, etc are their loyalists. So for a zonal rally to be that scanty, especially that of Ilorin, something is wrong somewhere. Who do you think is the greatest beneficiary of the show of strength in Sokoto? Tambuwal of course! Not Atiku, Tambuwal! Tambuwal can use that crowd to demand things from Atiku before the election!
