There is no Record on the highest number of fish farmers in a state.. Possible guess is Ogun and Lagos state.

Please house I need urgent advise. I stocked my pond with Juvenile two days ago. Yesterday i noticed that some of the fishes were just hanging with their head up, weak and do not eat when feed is thrown into the water. Please what do I do?

NB. It's an earthen pond constructed in such a way that water from my pond flows into another person's pond while my pond is connected to a river water channel with an underground pipe.

Please I need urgent advise as to what to do.

If it take a catfish ideaically from1Kg to 2.4kg from day 1 to 180days that is 6month .from day1-30days which weight range should fall within100g-150g @ than 100g weight, 5%biomass as your feeding rate

1 * 100g * 5% = 5g
5g * 180 days= 900g ,it takes 900g to feed juvenile to 1kg.
If a bag of feed is 15kg, convent kg to g 15Kg=15000g
15000g-900g=14100g
=14.1kg lift on used

Congrat, test run your concrete pond by filling it water to the brim and leave for at least two days to observe if there is any leakage and yes you can wash manually to reduce the cement oozing odour.

ADVICES
Before introducing your fishes into the concrete pond you are to do the following.
1) Fill your concert pond with water and leave for 2 to 3 days before buying or introducing your fingering into the water .

pros or reasons are following:
Death rate observed as of changing of water or environment or tranfer are caused as of failure to observes this procedures .
i) it breakdown the hardness of the water .

ii) Introducing of oxygen though oxidation cause by respiration of little micro organism in the water such as mosquitos ,larvas etc.

iii) The micro organism serves ready feed for fingerling on introduce into the water.

iv) Don't feed them immediately , they might waste the feed due to strees, give enough time to adjust.
v) Design daily feeding time table
vi) Good water mangt
