They are so crazy. Got there 5 minutes to 8. Left 15 minutes to 2.

GozyNA:

Got there 9:15, was done at a few minutes past 2 so that's like 5hours. When did you leave?

This status bar really makes no sense. I even got one after PPR (my cic is still in IP2) and is says estimated end date July 2018 and ‘your application is taking longer than normal to process’. No sh*t.

yahooz:
This is what the status bar looks like and it really makes no sense as we all know the average timing is 6 months...

@Skywalk12 a hearty congratulations to you and other PPR clinchers overtime...

Hello all,
. Or better still contact HR... Its not funny watching both your PR and your Job hanging

What if your supervisor by virtue of his position in the company is entitled to use the company letter head eg to vendors?

Just asking.

Although I got mine on a plain paper.

Well he said a well organised company, but I know a multi-national company that supervisors interview and employ for their departments themselves

they have always verified

Yes I know they verify TRANSCRIPT but not certificates. Did they ask your school to verify the certificate you sent them through hellofax?

IRCC now accepts TCF! You can do it on your own but attending classes meant mainly for the French tests is much better. However, you do most of the learning yourself.

where can one do TCF in Nigeria and how much does it cost

I'm just frustrated with WES. I wish I never decided to use them. When did they start asking for verification of certificate?. I sent them my BSc certificate through hellofax only for them to ask my school to verify the certificate, which is going to cost me double. I'm just so confused.

If you are still at ECA stage, I'll reiterate what others have been saying. DO NOT USE WES!!!!!

Hello Ifeoma,

Thanks for always helping. Please I am yet to make headway with this profile. I am thinking of deleting it so, i decided to recalculate my CRS again and start over. I got 452 as my CRS point, please why do i get 420 after submitting my profile with same information? I want to get past this and back in the pool.

Thank you

You answered the questions correctly. I don't know why it's doing that.
Have you tried clearing cache and all that? Maybe log in using a different browser?
Or just give it time, but I'm fairly certain there's nothing wrong with the profile and I don't think it has anything to do with the questions you answered

It's not a technical issue! You have most likely put 8 hours as number of hours of work per week under work history instead of 40 hours. This has drastically reduced your years of experience and affected your points under skills transfer - work experience. Ask me how I know?

Go over your work history input and change number of hours per week to 40 and see the magic. Cheers.

Hello all,

Been a while. To those of you who work in very organised firms with clearly laid out process for obtaining Reference letters(common with banks) , try as much as possible to avoid having your supervisors sign your work reference letters for you, the convenience you seek could be short lived. I now know of two people( both in the banking sector) who have ran into trouble for this, one of them was for Canada PR and another for Australia PR.

The issue is, when the VO wants to verify such letters, what they do is contact HR directly rather than the supervisor who signed the letter, and HR simply replies saying it didnt come from them. HR even went a step further to issue query to the employee for circumventing due process. If you work in a bank, if your supervisor is to write a reference letter for you, it might be safer for it be on plain paper not your firm's letter head. Or better still contact HR... Its not funny watching both your PR and your Job hanging

Now I'm scared. I did my NYSC in a university. My HOD is the one writing my reference letter and he would be using the university's letter head. This your post scares me right now.

And no, I wasn't trying to act smart. I was only trying to follow the CIC format as seen on their website and so I put ensured I included the instructions in the email I sent to him plus the links to CIC website.

I am not sure if the letterhead will state the department cos it is like a college/faculty on his own. It is where they run their foundation program for pre-degree students.

So my question is this, if it is like that, does that mean there will be nothing to be afraid of? Since he is the head.

I don't think there is anything to be afraid of in this ur case. This is normal with our higher institutions but I believe ur HOD will put a valid stamp. This should be enough with other proofs attached such as his scanned ID card , urs too and other proofs including your posting letter. Just don't leave any valuable evidence behind.

The HOD is the not the most appropriate official to write in the University. As a corper, someone accepted your NYSC posting to institution and I bet its not the HOD. Usually, the Registrar does or one of his lieutenants and should give the ref.
All the best.

Oh! Thank you but why another evaluating body?

If you check cic website the guidelines are there that these evaluating bodies follow so it doesn't matter whether you have HND and NCE CIC carefully states that one must be 3yrs+ and the other at least a year. So use ICES.

Good evening guys,
So i want to ask, can someone who's a video producer (no Bsc degree yet) with over 5 years experience and is currently working for an internationally recognised media organization have a chance to apply for this program?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by Nobody: 9:18pm On Dec 13, 2018
Wes verifies cert but I don't know how many of us sent cert verification. Unn charges 10k each for both of them, so what I and many other super lions/lionesses here did was to pay for only transcript verification and that served for both. So stop stressing. Get your school to verify just the transcript, except they are insistent on you paying for that if not Wes is okay with that. Or has your transcript been verified and cert still says awaiting docs

Ok then. Thanks for the clarification
