Pls my power steering oil is low, below min.. Am using toyota camry 2002.. D manual says i shud use atf dexron ii or iii. Now should i just top up with the dexron or i should flush out the oil first to add my new oil afresh? Also is mobil atf good to use? Again my manual says i shud use type iv transmission fluid but due to my ignorance, i bought mobil atf for it.. Does he t have any negative effect? Am thinking now of buting the requured spec. Atf type iv. Will frequent change of oil grades affect my transmission performance?? Tanks for yur reply in advance |

Am sorry about the delay in responding. Use type tiv as indicated by the manual. Like we discussed earlier, mobil atf will work for your power steering. 1 Like |

Hi, I have a 2006 Infiniti M45. The transmission dipstick says I should use Nissan Matic J fluid. But my research says any JASO-1A fluid is appropriate. What do you advice? |

Use Total Mvlv transmission fluid. It is new in town and it is a Dexron 6 and an original six speed gear oil. Buy from the outlet |

Good morning Engineer. Thanks for the brilliant job. My Infiniti g35x car has just developed gear problem. It does reverse but not drive. Someone told me he can fix it. My questions: Should I repair or replace? 2. Is there a close alternative to matic j. Thanks in advance. |

lapo:Total now has dexron 6 and very suitable for your car. Buy from their outlet. Repair is better if you have a good technician 1 Like |

sooperrescue:One more question sir. Please can you tell me what average cost of repair could be. Sorry to bother you again. |
Re: Transmission Fluids, Getting The Right One For Your Vehicle by sooperrescue(m): 2:00pm On Dec 01, 2018 |
lapo:Most likely it will be the valve body of the gear. Some good guys can service it well. You must have probably used the wrong oil hence it has destroyed the drive fibers. So two scenarios but repair is better than replacing. I once made the mistake of changing the gearbox on a G35 instead of fixing it. Till date, I have not been refunded my money and 3 years down the road. Let them check it out before you conclude. 2 Likes |

My Corolla 2009 requires WS gear oil. Mechanic says I should use OANDO oil. Is it Ok? Or should I just buy the WS oil? Pls reply ASAP |
Re: Transmission Fluids, Getting The Right One For Your Vehicle by sooperrescue(m): 1:53pm On Dec 27, 2018 |
JadonOVB:Total now has Dexron 6 which is ideal for WS. It is called Total MVLV. Oando currently does not have any ATF suitable for WS. 1 Like |

I placed the new WS oil in the Corolla 2 days ago but it didn't do any good. Looks much like the gear box was already damaged. Had to buy another automatic gear box with d help of the mechanic but I noticed this morning that d OIL TYPE on the instrument for checking d level of the oil is T IV ... Told d engineer, he said it's still OK. Pls, what is the implication on the vehicle? Which oil should I buy this time around? WS or T IV ? Pls note that the mechanic said that: (1) I wouldn't be able to use the oil drained from d car because it must have been dirty, despite the fact that it was newly turned 2 days ago. (2) I should buy Mobil ATF 220 Pls I need your advice, as he will be changing the gear box today. Thanks in advance! |
Re: Transmission Fluids, Getting The Right One For Your Vehicle by sooperrescue(m): 3:55pm On Dec 29, 2018 |
JadonOVB:Use total atf mvlv. It is backward compatible with type tiv. Mobil will not work. |
