With the current high denial rate at the USA embassy of recent even when students demonstrated pure intention and some with full funding still getting denied.

Except you have another ulterior motive in America, a real student applicant who truly desire to further education should simply BOYCOTT the USA and try out other countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand and some other better countries who will evaluate you based on your presented documents and not through "scammy" 2mins interview that will end up in rejection.

There are other countries with good educational system and will also offer PR after studies. All you need to do is extensive research.

Just look at the thread, for over 2 months, I could count up to 40 people who shared interview transcript, just 3 had an approval. I'm not talking about the ones who aren't bold enough to share their delayed transcript, not to talk of the ones outside nairaland.

It obvious that these people don't want us anymore. Even people on administrative processing with authentic bank statements are getting denied afterwards, then why should we continue to dash them 60k all in the name of re-applying?.

If you have been denied twice or thrice, bros, research other countries with good education system that will lead to PR if that's what you want. Like I said, other countries will judge you based on your documents. And even if you are denied, they will tell you the exact reason so that you will know what to work on.

Only the US will deny you with a generic blue paper, tell you that you are free to re-apply again. They will still re-deny you and still re-issue the same generic blue paper.

We know some people have made the whole thing difficult, but my people, US isn't a do or die affair. If they don't want you in their country, simply try another country who will gladly accept you.

this is just wicked. What was your countenance like were you smiling and informal or you were serious and formal? What were you going to study and how much was the cost. Were you interviewed by the black woman?

There is no wickedness in that. They are doing their job. The guy has a brother in same school, that alone shows he is going to the school because of his brother there but he lied that he got to know the school from another source. Those V.Os are well trained and can decode a lie easily

Other countries you mentioned are not cheer givers in terms of scholarship and funding plus well recognized degree. Secondly, you will be asked to pay some percentage of your tuition fees in those countries before applying for visa and the tuition fees ain't cheap. USA schools made the process easy for many, that's why students are trooping in to USA. Also, getting visa in those countries you mentioned is not easy too. So there is no where it's easy. Keep trying for any one that works for you, that's all I can say.

Your network beat me to this grin Look how straightforward it is to apply to even MIT. Applying to study in Canada is not a very easy process, even after you get the admission. Plus they still deny people anyhow too.

I swear. Canadian visas even harder. Canada is even the reason why the US is denying more people because Canada told US that Nigerians are running into Canada through US for asylum

Hello house,

My visa was delayed yesterday at Lagos embassy though dis is my second attempt after being denied a b1/b2 visa last year September, the Vo asked me just two questions of which I answered her confidently the next thing was the blue paper,am still depress right now because I have a very influential sponsor who is my uncle and ready to sponsor my education. Below is the questions that I was asked

VO: What university am going to?
Me : Am going to the University of Akron in Ohio

VO: How did I hear about the University
Me: Told her the first time I heard about the University of Akron was during an educational seminar held at Akwa Ibom when I was still serving, then later visited their official website to get more information about the school and I was impressed with their faculty profile and course curriculum.

That's all she asked me before giving me the blue paper though I have a brother presently in the University of Akron who is a masters student.

Please gurus in the house should please help me look into this and aligt wat went wrong before I re-fire.

did she check the system for a long time after you answered the last question before or before she asked the question?

Address the reason you were refused, then reapply. Don't rush and dash them another 60k. You will need to confirm from your school if they issue extension letter, not all schools issue it.

Well honestly schooling in those countries are not cheap and the US offer more funding. However, getting the Australian Visa may be easier because no interview is needed. All you need is an expert to guide you and the right documents. You may need to pay at least 50% of tuition fee. However, the cheapest to school is Germany.Though interview is involved the Visa success is high.Only hitch is the language....

She gave a girl infront of me, the girl was going for MS chemical engineering and said all the sweet sweet words that VOs like to hear. The girl was free and acting like she was talking to her friend. Next thing the woman gave her white paper o. You will have to refire. Hi all, i hope you are all doing well. Please, i need help on how to advise two people who sought my counsel.

Let's call them Ayo and Tunde. Ayo wants has a bachelors in political science and plans to do a masters in political science/any related degree in the us, as a stepping stone to eventually migrating to America. Tunde on the other hand, has a bachelors in Business Admin and also wants to pursue a masters degree in a related field as a means of eventually permanently living in america.

Both guys want to use their education as means of eventually living in America. This is quite normal and does happen often.

Thing is, i had a bachelors in Electrical/Elect Engineering from Nigeria and did my Masters in Computer Science here in the U.S. Let’s just say i’m Fortunate enough to be in a situation where I can work without needing a visa/authorization. Since i don't have any experience with Business admin, political science or working on h1b, i'm finding it hard advising these guys as i dont know how the job market as well as the visa for these major work in the us.

Additionally, with the current climate where american companies are relunctant to hire international students (h1b issues), especially non stem based majors, what should i advise these guys to study? Should i advise them to switch to stem based courses as this would enable them more easily get jobs in the future or should i encourage them to continue with their current majors?

Please note, the end game for these guys it to legally become us residents sometime in the future. What would you recommend?

Thank you.

1. I think the woman is a psychologist. She can clearly read people's mind. You need confidence.
2. Canada made it more difficult for Nigerians because of all manners or people arriving in US and walking into Canada same week. Canadian govt felt US embassy is so weak.

I have appeared before the black American lady withing the last 12 months and was amazed with the level some of our proposed student answer questions before the woman (I was standing patiently behind people and NO was the answer that comes to my mind.

Do your assignment well and be prepared.
Some months ago while waiting patiently on the queue, this black VO asked a lady she was interviewing what she is doing presently, the proposed student said she is a school teacher, teaching in a primary school. She further asked what subject, the response was i teach them all subject. This is a lady going to US to study MSc Computer engineering. The next question - What do you intend to do after completetion of your degree? She just went blank - next is blue paper from the beautiful black VO.

Next person was a guy going for his Msc too.
BVO: Who will sponsor your trip
guy: My uncle
BVO: What does he do?
guy: He is a car dealer
BVO: Is he going to use all the fund in his account to fund your tuition fee?
guy: .......blank --(1st failure)
BVO: when you finish your study what do you intend to do with it?
guy: I come back home to join the family business.
BVO: what business is that?
guy: Selling cars.
BVO: ..... (blue paper straight).

Next: Me
After our conversation, she smiled and asked me what question other questions should she ask me? I smiled back and simply tell her I am here with her (for my mind nah die we go die here together).

The fact is that a lot of people go there unprepared and that (1)makes the success rate very low and (2) creates more problem for those with genuine case.

Hello house

Finally succeeded in paying my Sevisfee today, All thanks to my own brother Sheke01 May God bless you richly.

Please Help, my interview is 26th, just paid Sevis today (we've been trying since Saturday, no success) considering it's weekend already and Tuesday is Christmas holiday, what would you suggest I do. Please I really need all to make suggestions, probably those you've had same experience. Should I go ahead with interview or reschedule? No dates until 28th of January. School resumes 9th but I am expected to be available by 6th January or earlier. I need suggestions please..

I can't say if this is genuine or not but the reason stated which proposes that PMB asked visas not to be issued due to elections that are up coming seems awkward and invalid.
