All na for next level.
This time, dey will start sleeping after the bridge not under again. NextLevel Nonsense
Shut up there, people has been sleeping under the bridge since 1970s rather than facing the issues and feel for the victims... You'll politicize it as if it's peculiar to one regime in Nigeria.

May Allah alleviate their hardship to comfort in prosperity. Amen..

Common sense is not common anyway.

So why are you blaming PDP?

Every state in Nigeria has a stake in Lagos.
PDP because they looted the country dry. They were in power at the centre for 16 years yet Nigerians suffered mishap under their watch

Ode, tell you God to help you with sense. Since the so-called God gave you so much senses. But not enough sense to know that the written article wasn't just about one person. May God never forget to wipeout your useless self.
Omoboricash:
May God give u sense, if you read thru, the guy said he has been sleeping under bridge for fourteen good years and here you are blaiming the government that came into power for just 3.5 years. Why shifting blame.

A man has died hours after he was found unresponsive in an underpass opposite the Houses of Parliament.

The man, who was named as Gyula Remes, 43, was found by British Transport Police at 23.30 GMT on Tuesday outside Westminster Underground Station.

Officers administered first aid and he was taken to a central London hospital but he died in the early hours.

Communities Secretary James Brokenshire said he would be asking Westminster City Council to investigate his death.

The Metropolitan Police said it was not treating the death as suspicious.

Dawn, who used to sleep opposite the man, said she thought his death was related to the drug Spice and that he had choked on his own vomit.

"He was the most gorgeous gentleman you would like to meet," she said, adding: "It's killing me this, I can't cope with this, I really can't. I keep expecting him to walk around here."

She said he had just found a job and was expecting to be off the streets soon.

Sara, 38, from Essex, has slept in the underpass for the past month.

"That poor man has lost his life and everyone else comes out the exit and they're just walking by as if nothing's happened.

"He was blue last night and everyone was just walking past him like he didn't matter."

Shadow housing minister, Melanie Onn, said the area where the man was found has becoming increasingly popular with homeless people.

Ms Onn said: "Just last week I saw police resuscitating someone in the same spot.

"It's a go to area because it's dry and warmer than outside, but it's wholly inappropriate to stay there. There's not even any wash facilities."

Mr Brokenshire said he was committed to ensuring independent reviews into the deaths of rough sleepers were conducted, so that support could be targeted in the right way.

In February a homeless man was found dead in an underpass that leads from the station to the Palace of Westminster.
And your point ishuhhuhhuh??

Nigeria is globally known as the headquarters of EXTREME POVERTY And an elder in the committee of $hithole countries cheesy cheesy

Modified...
We know them even without stating their names and orgin.
If you start analysing those pictures, you will find out that the second one is a typical cone head from Ibadan slum (look at his head again) who always come to nairaland to shout "Igbos should leave SW, it belongs to Yoruba whereas his life is so miserable even in his own region.

They have been forced him to live under the bridge for donkey years. As it stands today, average cone head can't afford Lagos while people they love to hate have turned them to tenants and under bridge dwellers in their own land.

Then take a look at the third picture, that one is a typical Yorruba Musl.im from oshogbo. See the mark of beast on his forehead (effect of head slamming) Tomorrow they will come here and be disturbing the cyber space..

Until hopeless Osogbo urchins below me stop being tribalistic on some sensitive issues like this, we won't stop reciprocating.
why is it so hard for ur brain to reason well @list for once, trash insult every time dis is not the way forward. Let dis ur childish behaviour end dis yr ok.

There are homeless people in UK too. That's the ills of a big city. I just wish our country can build shelters that will really help.
there are homeless shelters abroad

Which one does your $hithole country have?

It's the ills of a big city, true, but how the govt makes effort to alleviate the problem is what counts

Exactly my thought. you took these words out of my mouth. you cant be in Lagos or Nigeria and claim ignorance of this. it's even better now since Fashola and Ambode's effort to beautify many flyovers in Lagos. A few kilometres walk around Lagos would tell you its a common experience everywhere. A lot of Nigerians, and many from the neighbouring country influx Lagos every day for greener pasture without any plan on where to stay, they end up sleeping at major bus-stops, under bridges, and in front of shops.

One of the twits even reads "very emotional, I can't watch the video". my question is how many average or wealthy Nigerian will actually stop to help the homeless on a normal day? too many facade humans. many of them maltreat their domestic help but would be quick to come online to portray non-existing empathy.

To those asking for how to get in touch and assist the guys, I would say you don't need their contact. just go out there. there are millions of them hoping for your smile and a word of encouragement.

Together we can make the world a better place.

CAPSLOCKED:
NIGERIANS ARE TOO FAKE AND IDIOTIC. IMAGINE THEIR REACTIONS ON TWITTER, AS IF THIS IS NOT A USUAL SIGHT IN THE COUNTRY. SOME ARE ASKING FOR WAYS TO REACH THOSE IN THE VIDEO (TO APPEAR EMPATHETIC PUBLICLY) AS IF THERE AREN'T MANY OTHERS ESPECIALLY CHILDREN AROUND THE STREETS AND OPEN PLACES.
CONFUSED DELUSIONAL HYPOCRITES.
Re: BBC Documentary On Nigerians Living Under Lagos Bridge. See Reactions (Pics) by youngmonie: 2:14pm On Dec 21, 2018
Se hypocrites everywhere on this thread and even BBC. While I empathise with the less fortunate, it is no news that people sleep under the bridge in lagos and we all know it, we have all seen it so lets not pretend it all started under Buhari's government.

Tell me you've not seen kids begging on the street or people sleeping on the roads or dumpsters at night. So please spare us all this Buhari and APC nonsense. While we accept that the government should do me, this things did not jut happen over night.

As for the people shouting on twitter, I guess most of them don't live in the reality of lagos if not they would have seen these people there before.

And as for BBC, they should do a documentary on the homeless that sleep on the streets on london or loads of homeless people that sleep on the streets of Birmingham every night.

You think there's a point? Nigerians have not voted for socialism. Vote for it and your government will be obliged to take care of you, once you fulfil your obligation to pay for it through taxation of course.

Only the Igbo commentors offered to help, others had no real help.

In Nigeria, Igbos are the only tribe that fight for the oppressed and speak out for the rejected, if u observe even in Nigerian politics, you will discover this truth.

Which homeless shelter do you contribute towards making exist?

Or do you think the governments in countries that provide homeless shelters do so without you paying for it?

I am not excusing Nigerian governments for our pathetic homeless (and poverty) statistics, but BBC should have first expose the appalling homeless statistics in the UK. Like they say, why complain of a speck in someone else's eyes, when you have a log in your own

One in 200 people now homeless in Britain as crisis deepens - By Matthew Robinson, CNN
Updated 10:05 AM EST, Thu November 22, 2018

The number of homeless people in Britain is soaring by more than 1,000 a month, and reached a total of 320,000 in the first quarter of this year, according to research released Thursday by homelessness charity Shelter.

Abeg yarn me how many times the igbo tribe has fought or spoken out for the oppressed in Nigeria? How many igbo activists (save for Oby Ezekwesili, who is even disliked by her igbo kith and kins) has even put their lives on the line fighting for the oppressed?

Bro perhaps you didn't comprehend my statement. What I meant was that while homelessness is part and parcel of a big city ( even USA, UK and France have homeless people). It would make a lot of difference if the Nigerian Government can create homeless shelters. That's the difference between us and other advanced countries ( when it comes to tackling homelessness).

Now no matter how much you hate the present Government, calling us a shit hole country is you agreeing that you are part of the problem. Unless of course you are not a Nigerian which I will have to tell you 'don't you anger me!' grin tongue . I love my country and just like the phoenix we shall rise again.
