U ppl shouldn't blame her for that. I have seen a case were unfaithful husband has been HIV carrier for 3 years and the wife didn't know about it. I have also seen a case were a wife is positive and still hide it from husband for 5 yrs.
As God will always do, there partners were all negative but tthey were so afraid like this woman for 1yr.

Do you know the number of people with HIV who are unaware of their status? At least she's trying to do the right thing and know her status so as to start treatment. Even if she is to be HIV positive, is killing herself the best option? Should we kill all HIV positive people? If that was to be an option, you'd be surprised at the number of people that will be dead!

Alternatively...just do another test again to give you peace of mind.

Do an HIV screening at an accredited and high quality centre (e.g. PATHCARE, Clinalancet, Clinix, etc) at 6 months is standard for screening.

However, please note that this is screening only and a small percentage of people will have false negative results.

If you still have fears after 6 months or are experiencing non specific symptoms and general ill health, you can do more specific testing (not screening) for HIV from any of the above listed labs. PCR, ELISA etc are all available for HIV specific testing.

if u r very worried, go for PCR(polymerase chain reaction) test.it's expensive though (range of 40k or below).I think it can detect the stuff under 1week.I understand that kinda feeling.stay safe dear/maa

What you are going through is an anxiety disorder; you have to first understand that. yes, you had unprotected sex, you are sorry, and your test came out negative. understand that your mind wants you to believe otherwise. You have to fight it or else you'll become obsessive. you might even end up spending a lot on tests or confirming the same result ten times. get that.

now, cool down. understand that you are still negative. go about your normal activities and redo your test in 3 months time. I'm damn sure it will still be negative. That's just to calm nerves.
