So tell us why did Tau get the MOTM? By bagging an assist?

BascoVanVeli:
I mean it is shocking. Ezenwa was on vacation throughout that match so I just don't know what some of us are talking about.

maybe this over pampering is entering rohrs head. Who da fvck is he to reject match venues selected by the nff?
That asaba stadium isn't that bad after all, having seen it in the last friendly.
Rohr is breaching his contract and if he is sanctioned, it's his making.
What over pampering?
He is wrong to give a professional opinion? Is the friendly a testimonial match?
What do you mean the "stadium" isn't "that bad", a pitch where the ball veers off path is what is great?

If he doesn't voice out,who will. It seems you hate the bloody truth

Tell yourself the truth, the pitch isn't bad but it lacks good grass. The grass is next to nothing that'd stop free flowing football. Won't be surprised we'll play draw with Seychelles on that pitch. The Uganda friendly is there to speak.......leave what you see from overview, the grass is bad.
Except they'd work on it before March

Listen, Gernot Rohr is not a Nigerian. He has nothing to gain by favouring one state, region or tribe over others. So if he rejects a particular pitch, it is purely for footballing reasons. The Uyo pitch to me is the smoothest and best pitch in the country at the moment. What coach would not want his team to play there?. Why play in Asaba when we have a better pitch in Uyo where our players can express themselves better?. Who would have water and allow soap to enter his eyes?.

And why do you think Pinnick is insisting on Asaba? One reason alone : M-O-N-E-Y!.

May politics and greed not kill us in this country in Jesus' name.

This guy you are funny o. When would anyone have had time to care about that when the little issue about us being robbed was on ground?

I will never deal in sentiment I deal on fact and fact is that apart from his moment of brilliance he was kept quiet.

Fact is Tau was very lively in the first half.

The fact is, while Rohr is a tactician whose only concern is to win as many games as he can, Pinnick is a politician. A politician cares about power and money first. Everything else is secondary.

Pinnick doesn't care whether the SE wins or loses. Maybe he does, but that's not his priority. His political career comes first. He knows that the fact that almost all SE matches have been played in Uyo since Rohr arrived is likely to earn him political enemies from other state governments.

The decision to play in Asaba has nothing to do with football. It's a pity.

One assist is now the definition of lively abi? Samuel Kalu had an assist but also had a shot on target. Was just as good defending as he was going forward, ran the SA backline rugged. If we compare the two it is clear that Tau was not even close to the MOTM. If our goals stand Percy would have only been a side note

I said he was lively in the first half. You are the only one attributing what I said to the one assist.

Wetin u dey yan? The goals didn’t stand. Your “IF” already shows your sentiments. Our defense dealt with him better in the second half.

Seems you didn't read the article where they said Rohr might be sacked because he rejected the Asaba venue. I am only concerned because Pinnick's greed is about to destroy Rohr's painstaking work of building an SE team almost from the scratch.

As for your question, I'm willing to host the SE anywhere. Even in my bedroom. As long as money is involved. grin.

You are just mixing yourself up. Tell us what else your Tau did apart from the assist. Did he have a shot? Did he create another chance? Who did he put under pressure? Was it Balogun, Ekong, Collins or Kalu? The only one sentimental here is you. You are going against reality just to prove a point

Basco I no dey argument mode tonight. Goal did a tactical piece on that game and spoke of how Baxter switched Tau on the 15th minute mark. In the words of the piece,

“Tau’s growing influence and impressive assist had pulled Bafana back into the game. Baxter’s move after 15 minutes had worked well.

Second half – tempo drops, Tau supply cut

At the start of the second half, Tau was initially back on the left, but was later moved into a role just off Mothiba as Thembinkosi Lorch replaced Thulani Serero after an hour, and moved out onto the right flank.

Nigeria had made a crucial switch in dropping Iwobi deeper to a role in a flatter three-man central midfield, where he could shore up the left flank and give some protection to Omeruo and Collins. This meant that Kekana and Mabunda began to get more chances to receive the ball and face forward, but neither generally played the driven, floor passes into Tau that he needed, but rather longer diagonals out to the full-backs or over the top. This led to numerous attacks breaking down.”

For your mind “growing influence” is just one moment of magic. If you wan still argue for argument sake, U can continue. Me I dey go sleep lol.
